I had massive problems with my ankle and physiotherapists could not help me … tried for years. Age 27 Ming helped me (over a lot of sessions) and 3 decades later my ankle has been as good as gold. Now aged 57 She truly is the real deal.

Over the years I have been successfully treated for many issues using acupuncture, cupping, massage and herbs, all have been fantastic. I had suffered a facial palsy which after having steroids showed no improvement. I was very fortunate to hear Ming speak about the benefits of acupuncture at the facial palsy support group, and how we could all benefit from her treatments. I came home and booked an appointment and after just 5 treatments I have movement and feeling back in my face, which is amazing. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ming to anyone, especially those with no hope of improvement, as Ming will help you get back to normal.

Dr Ming Chen and Dr Ran are exceptional doctors. I can't highly recommend them. They are highly qualified doctors. I was suffering from back pain for several years and after just a few sessions of acupuncture I felt far better, full of energy and I got my joy of life back. I do no longer suffer. Great place that fixed my back muscle problem. I had, according to my GP, a muscle trauma in my back. This caused other muscles to be over-worked and resulted in severe back pains. My GP said that massage would be a good place to start, it didn't need to be physio but a good massage would do the trick. I heard a bout Ming Chen's clinic and I made an appointment with Cathy Waddell. I went for 5 sessions, but the results were already very noticeable after the first one; my pain levels went from horrible to barely noticeable. This improved to no back pain at all after the final session. Cathy did wonders and I went from limping around to doing nice long walks again without any issues. I can't recommend Cathy highly enough, she literally took my pain away. If you have any need for a massage, go and contact Ming's Chen Clinic and ask for Cathy.

I have been visiting Ming Chen Clinics for three years, mainly for the arthritis in my fingers. For five years before that, I had been trying doctors, naturopaths, homeopaths, none made any difference. Ming Chen's acupuncture and, herbal treatments on the other hand, has been fantastic. Ming Chen has stopped it from developing, and put it into reverse. I will take any condition to Ming Chen first from now on. She will tell me if acupuncture can help, or any other Chinese medicine. I think she offers a treatment system that is second to none, with a skill and subtlety that understand the complete person, not simply the condition. I could not recommend Ming Chen Clinics more highly.

Ming is happy and friendly yet professional and tireless. She takes care of the awful pain I have from a collapsed ankle - an old injury. The pain is often completely eliminated for 3 or 4 weeks at a time. Sometimes a little of it comes back and she swiftly and knowledgeably deals with it for which I am truly thankful.

Ive been going to see Ming Chen for acupunture for nearly 15 years. From laryngitis to tennis elbow, it would appear that there's nothing that she can't fix. The acupunture facials are amazing too! i cannot recommend Ming and her team highly enough.

Dr Ming was recommended to me by a friend who had had a kidney problem necessitating an investigative procedure in hospital which she did not feel well enough to attend and endure. She had consulted Dr Ming who treated her over a 6 month period and effectively brought her back to her former good health. Later I understood that her consultant was surprised to find that she no longer required any operation and that her kidneys were fine. I was a cancer patient who had survived bowel cancer which had metastisised in my liver and bile ducts. I had had 3 major operations and 2 lots of chemotherapy. A year after this, a huge cist was found on my ovary and my consultant wanted to whip these out as a natter of precaution. I consulted Dr Ming. She took my pulses - there are 6 in Chinese medicine - and she determined that my spleen was over working - 'Too much thinking!' she pronounced. Then she explained that she could perhaps get rid of the cist over 6 weeks or so, but that, given my history, I would be better advised to go through the operation and that she would give me the energy to do that and to recover quickly afterwards. I took her advice and, sure enough, after one £50 session of acupuncture (which I'd never had before) I felt like I was walking on clouds and could overcome anything. This feeling lasted 3 days till my op which all went well. Afterwards, the intensive care nurses commented on how well I looked for someone who had just been operated on. I also had this feeling of elation and positivity, knowing that the future was bright and there was no point in worrying about everything in life. I went back to Dr Ming a few weeks later for one further session. This time she applied her healing technique with her needles, deftly, swiftly and painlessly inserting them with her slim clever fingers in and around my abdomen and arms, as I recall now a few years later. The effects weren't so apparently magical as previously, but the whole experience offered by Dr Ming is one you can't really value in money terms. For £50, I was put at ease, introduced to the ancient and wise Chinese ways, I was soothed, heard and encouraged. Whilst relaxing in a quiet, clinical setting with touches of the Orient to idly rest my eyes upon, I heard gentle classical music till my racing thoughts slowed down and dispersed until I drifted off into a partial sleep. All too soon the doctor breezed back in to remove the needles - it must have been 25mins or so. Afterwards I was on a high for days. Now where can you buy an experience of well being like that for £50?

Long term hay fever sufferer with all the usual severe symptoms such as lack of energy, streaming nose, sneezing, itchy eyes and other cold like symptoms. Went for a course of acupuncture over the summer which massively reduced all these symptoms. I used to take strong prescribed antihistamines and eye drops throughout the pollen seasons, I only had to resort to one over the counter tablet on one single day (when the conditions were particularly bad) all summer. Cannot recommend the clinic enough, it certainly worked very well for me and I will be returning next summer.

I had a stroke in 2017, battled my way through madness, no one told me for 4 months this had happened, i thought i was losing my mind, then i got epstein barr, in 2019 which left me in bed for almost a year and in 2022 it was my year to get fit again ....i fractured my spine in the gym and my world was rocked again, Fibromyalgia was mentioned by incompetent doctors, only to find out i was pre-diabetic since February last year and no one told me so i have complicated neuropathy, i have seen Dr Ran almost every week since May and i have so much respect for this establishment it goes beyond words, at times i thought i would never get better and every time i see Dr Ran she gently calms me down and her expertise is at a very high level, my central nervous system is in bits, by my stroke and my Vagus Nerve was affected but symptom after symptom she has dealt with and i can honestly say if it wasn't for her i wouldn't be able to cope mentally, emotionally or physically, i have travelled a lot and know i am in safe hands with this establishment, all are so happy and positive and most of all highly skilled. Very professional and excellent treatments available (I had acupuncture). I’ve had tightness from my shoulder down to the back of my hand for a few years, however after 1 session here the tightness was practically gone! Would highly recommend to people with any muscle tightness that has persisted after trying other treatment methods (i.e Deep Tissue Massage).

I have known Ming for many years and she is an excellent practitioner. Acupuncture was of great benefit to me during the menopause - (infact I sailed through it with literary no problems or symptoms) , and I put that firmly down to my monthly treatments from Ming. I also found acupuncture very good for sciatic. I remember visiting Ming in great pain and walking out an hour later literally pain free! Ming Chen is the best acupuncturist I’ve ever seen. I’m from California but lived in Edinburgh for many years. During my time there I suffered from debilitating stomach issues. Ming helped me greatly and I haven’t experienced a reoccurrence since. I was in Edinburgh for a week in August. I’d been struggling with chronic tailbone pain for seven months and decided to book an appointment with Ming. It was amazing! After seeing her, I was pain free for two weeks. That might not sound like a lot but, after suffering day in and day out for months, the relief was astounding. I’ve yet to find an acupuncturist in California who can replicate these results. If you have a difficult case, bring it to Ming! Her expertise is phenomenal.
