Due to unfortunately long NHS waiting times we decided to go, privately funded, for a lesion removal for my 90 year old relative. This was not something I’d organised before so I had no idea where to start. I made contact with the Ramsay Group and established that their hospitals were in various locations with differing availability and differing charges. Having researched several options we decided to go to Mr Umraz Khan at the Winfield Hospital, Gloucester whose experience as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon was suited to our needs and whose availability and rates made it worth the one hour journey despite there being several Ramsay hospitals much closer to home. This decision was hugely helped by the support of Mr Khan’s PA, Nicky Crowther, who gave her time to helpfully explain the process, the likely procedure and likely costs involved. Within two weeks of my first contact with Nicky the consultation took place on a Friday morning; the Winfield was easy to find with ample parking and friendly, professional staff. Mr Khan was welcoming and reassuring, putting us at ease as he explained his proposal for excision to take place within a 30 minute outpatient appointment, so we decided to book. Again, Nicky was friendly, professional, efficient and supportive throughout this process - with her help and Mr Khan’s generous agreement, an additional appointment was added to the surgery list for the following Monday, three days after initial consultation, and we returned to the Winfield for the operation. My relative has described the experience as “fun!” such was the good humour and kind, professional service that day. The two assisting nurses were personable and attentive to us both and Mr Khan undertook the procedure with minimal fuss and maximum care. As a newcomer to paying for medical attention I have been pleasantly surprised throughout this experience and relieved that the costs were as I’d been prepared to expect. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Mr Khan, Reshape & Restore Plastic Surgery and the facilities and staff from the Winfield. Thank you to all concerned for making the whole experience as pleasant as could be!

During my initial consultation, Mr Chapman put my mind at rest and gave me a lot of confidence. I never felt rushed and he spent a lot of time talking to me about my options and what they each entailed. His knowledge and experience was extremely helpful in making this very personal decision. I had a bi-lateral breast reduction carried out by Mr Khan and I have no hesitations in recommending him to another person seeking the same procedure. I am a female in my late twenties. I felt comfortable and safe throughout my experience, from the first inquiry appointment up to my surgery and aftercare. He was thorough in explaining the procedure and it’s implications, and took the time to really understand my concerns and also my reasons for wanting the procedure. He is a gifted surgeon who cares for his patients and I genuinely cannot recommend him enough.

I was given Mr Khan's details by a friend who has had different surgeries over a number of years by him. She had also just had the same facial surgery i was looking into having so I was lucky to be able to see the results first hand. And she looked amazing! He is so expertly skilled that she easily looks 10 years younger. Mr Khan was so informative and explained everything in such detail. The surgery went so smoothly, the nursing team were lovely and I recieved great aftercare. I had an easy recovery no doubt down to his high level of expertise and now nearly 5 months post surgery I can't stop smiling at the results. His secretary Nicky is also a delight she was so helpful and is a real credit to him.
