I've so far had a fantastic experience here. The physiotherapist I'm working with is understanding, patient and gentle. Only criticism is that after referral they said I would hear within a couple of days, but a couple of weeks went by and I didn't hear - however after chasing they were quick to sort it.

Parking OK, but entering and leaving the grounds was made a little perilous by the roadworks outside. Reception spacious and safe, with supplies of sanitising fluid easily available, but noticed at least one patient waiting who was not wearing a mask. Were seen quite promptly by a most courteous and interested medical practitioner.

Efficient service for health. I went here for a blood test and the staff were very quick to see to me. You get a numbered ticket after checking in at the reception and wait for your turn, I was 4th in line and it took around 10 minutes. Car park entrance is dangerous, too small for two cars. The location is easy to find.

This was a really interesting to me as a NHS private contractor myself ( optician , most opticians have a contract to supply NHS sight tests ; and this clinic is a private contractor to the NHS ). I had been feeling unwell for a few weeks and had had a phone call with my own surgery . Then on Sunday I used 111 online because I just couldn’t see an end to how I felt . The whole process was wonderful . Patient , knowledgeable, capable and pleasant people called me and arranged everything . I then saw Namisa ( I hope that is the correct spelling ) a nurse practitioner who was superb . She listened attentively and I think had an inkling of what it might be and went to work with a good old school methodical examination . Ears then chest . And really taking lots of time on the chest . She called it . Pneumonia she said and the treatment is 500 mg Amoxicillin three times a day for seven days . For two and a half weeks I was unable to work . Two hours after the first pill I could feel I was getting better . Today ( Monday , the next morning ) I am ready for a very busy week . Of course I am proud of the NHS however I got the impression that this private contractor has recruited top people , paid them well I suspect and also perhaps they get to chose the days and hours they work . They all seemed so refreshed and refreshing . The only judgment I make here is on the quality of service which was excellent . It does raise a question of whether we as a population might need to accept that we should eat less, drive less expensive cars and work a lot more productively so we can pay lots more to greet people for our excellent healthcare . Personally I would rather they had more more money so they can keep doing the vitally important job they do for us .

I have been here many times but not since 2020. Its situated town end of Landseer Road pretty much opposite Clapgate Lane turn off. You can get bloods done there although as I recall you do have to book and stand down a narrow corridor most of the time, reception /seating area is very limited. In the larger waiting area (main reception area) Physio appointments and physio gym. The gym or gyms are situated upstairs no good to people who go there with mobility issues. Staff are nice and friendly.

Good services. The physio gym has just reopened. The car park is easy to get into but be aware that leaving the car park you have to sharp turn to the right to get back onto the main road which isn't entirely clear whilst driving.

When I arrived, the queue was out of the door. It was as if the Rolling Stones were playing there, or they were selling the latest smart phone. We queued for an hour, ensuring that the elderly were moved to the front to ensure they could be seated. I ran water supplies up and down the queue, and we all quickly made friends. The atmosphere was very much like that of the Blitz spirit as we rallied together in our moment of need. All in all a lovely time was had and my nurse was super lovely. Thanks for having me.

Sent here for bloods from my GP, great service as I was in and out within 10 minutes. No need to make an appointment. Flabotomist was great as well as I usually don't give up blood that easily. Bloods receptionist was obviously not happy in her job but I guess you can't have it all👍

Had to come here as an emergency on a Sunday morning. Very covid safe. Great procedure to protect you ad much as possible. Fast service with polite and caring doctor. Very pleased with How was treated. Shame my own doctors surgery are not as efficiant. One week later still waiting for a scan and nothing happening and on phoneing the hospital Aparently my doctor had not filled the request form in correctly so has left me over a week in agony with kidney stones one can only hope what goes around comes around......

When I got there, the queue was long. But the staff there is very helpful, courteous, efficient and even funny. They had a sign up for phlebotomy clinic. When I asked them what phlebotomy was, the nurse told me that it was blood testing. "We are licensed vampires", she said. The queue moved quickly and efficiently and before I know it, it was my turn. The efficiency here was truly impressive. When I went in, I realized that I was too heavily dressed for a blood test. I apologized and said I would have to strip off my clothes. The nurse told me to keep the bottoms on. While I was still laughing she took my blood painlessly. I must say I was quite impressed. If you want your blood taken for a test, avoid the hospital. This clinic is the right place.

Much better arrangement now where people register for bloods in the first room before moving to the back room to wait. In and out in ten minutes - brilliant. Only fly in the ointment was the incredibly rude receptionist; handing my son his papers without even looking at him then flapping him away in irritation when we didn't know where to go.

Really nice staff and physiotherapists. Very clean. They take care of you and take the time to hear what you want to say. They make you move and check if everything is ok, and if not they give you some advice. The appointments are made really quickly. They send you text messages to remind you of your next appointment. If you have to cancel, call them and they'll find another date for you. They answer really quickly. It's more reactive than when you're trying to make an appointment with you GP. I never have the same GP, which upsets me. At Riverside clinic, thank God, I have the same physiotherapist each time.

Great location and very easy to find. I take medication and come here every few months for a quick blood test, with varied waiting times that depend solely on how busy the place is. I've never waited longer than an hour to be seen and my quickest was around 5 minutes. Free car parking which immediately scores points vs. the hospital. My only issue is that the car park here is too small and everyone tries to go out the entrance (which is a problem I'm reading in other reviews). You're supposed to turn right before the main road and head up the path past the hedge, then turn left at the sheds (it says "NO EXIT" upside-down on the road because it's one way) to end up facing the Conservative Club and a sign directing you to A&E. That's the actual exit and probably needs signposted a bit better.

Very good doctor, compare to derby road as the doctor listen to the symptoms but prescribed worthless pain tablet which you can get in any normal superstore after severe pain, Derby doctor surgery..nor the ambulance gave good advice, only AHP Riverside, adviced and prescribed correct tables Within 2 days they worked that's what counts! We so greatful for that!

It's not always good to visit a doctor or a clinic but one needs to have a peace of mind when one has to visit and Riverside clinic is atleast able to provide that satisfaction as it has a decent enough sitting space for patients to wait and there are magazines available to read while waiting to be called for. Where to go for blood test is clearly demarcated by signs on the wall and floor. the receptionist is also friendly to provide an answer to any queries which we have. I personally haven't availed any service there by God's grace, but have accompanied my wife and this review is based on my observations at the clinic and inputs from my wife. There is a parking space available for visitors to park their vehicles while attending to the appointment.

I've put a 3star coz of the car park, it needs to be made bigger, and needs two entrances one in and one out, not the same entrance in n out, it's ridiculous. But when I went for a blood test last Tues I was done in 45 mins n got my results two days after. Today however I would of waited well over an hr so walked out. N need more seats to.

A little over a year ago I self refered for a physiotherapy appointment following a running injury. The service I received was outstanding. My recovery was slow because of the nature of the injury and my age, but with the help, advice and encouragement of the physiotherapist and rehab instructor I was back on the road running better and stronger than before. A grumpy old man with a walking stick to an elderly athlete in 6 months. I have also joined their open gym which I attend once a week at very a reasonable cost. Riverside clinic is a real NHS success.

Update Feb 2019: Impeccable service received at two successive walk-in blood tests, approx one week apart from Nurse Agnes. Amicable, courteous treatment & efficient, hygienic blood sampling. Receptionists also very polite. Walk-in Service ideal for me. Parking, though still welcomely free, has confusing, contradictory signage. 6 months before, just *2 stars* awarded: " I arrived about an hour before closure of the blood-test service on a not particularly busy Friday afternoon but at the end of an unusually hot week so maybe understandable that the Receptionist seemed rather strained, though polite. Perhaps for the same reasons and the possibly tedious, repetetive work, the 'blood-extracting' Nurse was initially rather sarcastic when I asked her which of the two available chairs she'd like me to be seated on, but thereafter more helpful in her approach. I really appreciate this walk-in service at a generally efficiently-run clinic. HOWEVER...as my star rating indicates, I was far from impressed that the nurse taking my blood sample, after extracting the needle and seeing that the attached ampoule was properly sealed, proceeded to wipe the needle's tip on the white pillow given to all patients as an arm & elbow rest ! No stain was visibly left but bearing in mind that the needle had been in contact with a body fluid, is it (1) really a healthy practice to then let succeeding patients rest their own arms on that pillow ? (2) What if one of them had an open cut or graze on their arm to allow others' pathogens to enter their own bodies..? (3) how many other patients have been recipients of what appears to be such heedless behaviour at this Clinic ? It should be noted that services at this Clinic appear to be delivered by a company contracted by the NHS, namely Allied Healthcare, so it may be that regretably, good clinical standards are not as consistently enforced or monitored there, as might be the actual case within an NHS-run establishment. I agree with other reviewers' valid comments about the hazardous, narrow entrance/exit to the car park which does not safely permit two-way traffic. Otherwise, the spacious, free parking facility is a definite plus-point."
