Sam has been absolutely fantastic, from initial consultation through to post-operative care. Displaying great expertise, care and attention, coupled a passionate desire to simply get the job done. Moreover, his proactive approach has been refreshing, helping eradicate unnecessary pain and discomfort plus ultimately enabled me to resume my daily activities and sporting interests, much quicker than expected. As such I would highly recommend Sam’s surgical expertise and for the work he has done repairing my torn rotator cuff tendons.

Mr Sam Vollans is very friendly, professional and caring. I found Sam has a great deal of knowledge on sports injuries and the most suitable options for surgery. After I got my injury I believed that a full recovery was unlikely, this caused a great deal of anxiety. After my first telephone call with Sam I felt completely at ease, as Sam assured me it was a easy fix, and he had done the surgery i required a number of times in the past. All his previous patients made a full recovery. On the day of surgery Sam explained the procedure to me again in detail, i remember feeling completely relaxed before surgery. It has now been 6 weeks since the surgery and I have just seen Sam for a follow-up appointment. I have made good progress after following Sam's advice. Thanks for everything

Absolutely outstanding care and professionalism from Sam Vollans. My 5 year old little girl broke her collar bone quite badly. After weeks of being pretty much fobbed off and questions unanswered by a major health service I turned to Nuffield health who arranged a consultation with Mr Vollans. He was fantastic with my daughter and made her feel relaxed and comfortable whilst cracking a few jokes. Mr Vollans explained everything we needed and wanted to know. He also gave us options for the future and said if we ever need anything to call. Its clear Mr Vollans cares deeply about his patients and he is a real credit to the profession. It was well worth the 4 hour round trip

Mr Vollans was a great doctor that achieved what all other doctors told me was impossible. The surgery of my elbow that he did was extremely risky, nevertheless he did it successfully and I would highly recommend him for anyone who has issues regarding their elbow. I was very confident to leave everything to him as he reassured me everything will be fine, which it was! Him and all the Leeds Chapel Allerton hospital were very caring and kind.

Dr Vollans is a fantastic surgeon and credit to the industry. My daughter has spent the last 9 years (now 15years old) suffering from a deformed elbow following a misdiagnosis when she was 6 years old. After numerous hospital appointments no doctors could help and thought she was elaborating the pain. She is a keen sports girls and after one appointment with Dr Vollans it was clear he saw her pain, understood her need to fix and would do anything to help her get it right. As a family we fully trust his direction and 4 weeks after her operations with him she is able to straighten her arm for the first time in such a long time. The confidence this has given her and ability to continue her love of sport. Whilst there may be future ops, feel we are in the best hands needed, trusted surgeon, would pay any amount for the great service he has shown on the NHS :)
