I was brilliantly looked after by Dr Barney, throughout my hysterectomy. From our first consultation, where she re-assuringly understood my symptoms, expressed a likely scenario and managed my expectations of what was to happen, to my follow up appointment after surgery, 4 months later, which given we were in the middle of a pandemic, I thought was amazing. My scar has healed perfectly and I feel a million times better than pre surgery. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Barney.

I had a full hysterectomy and ovary removal. Dr Barney was fantastic in listening to me and then explaining my options and helping me decide the best course of action. I had some issues with my insurance company and Dr Barneys secretary Gemma was fantastic in taking control of it and sorting it out for me. All staff I dealt with at the Spire Leicester hospital during my stay were wonderful. It makes such a difference to receive the kindness and care I did, would highly recommend to any ladies experiencing any gynaecological issues.

Extremely Caring, and a very very understanding Doctor, made me feel totally at ease and explained everything that was going to happen to me at our first appointment. I saw Miss Barney At Coalville for my appointment, I was very scared and in a lot of pain and Miss Barney reassured me that she would sort me out and she kept her word. I was fortunate enough to be placed on an extra theatre list and Miss Barney Administration team called me to say we have a date which meant been done sooner than expected. Even when the day came for my operation Miss Barney came and reassured me that everything would be OK, And she kept her word. At my 6 week checkup, I felt great I was talking to Miss Barney and remember saying I am a new women, happier,healthier and looking back to getting back to my normal way of life!! I owe so much to Miss Barney she is an amazing surgeon /Consultant from start to finish and even after if I have a concern, all I do is call and my questions and concerns are answered.
