I tried them twice. They are very efficient, helpful and honest. They offer tailored accommodation according to your specific needs, mainly the location of your work/visit. The website and communication are efficient. The accommodations are well selected. The hosts are professionals, respecting your privacy and caring for the tidiness, cleanliness and details of your stay. I no longer look for accommodations on the other popular websites, I contact Doctor in the house, tell them my dates and preferred zone/area in London and they get it sorted for me.

An absolutely excellent stay in a quiet place despite being so close to the city centre. The hosts were very accommodating. My room was spacious, clean, sunny and I could use the kitchen and laundry facilities without feeling uncomfortable. I would, without reservation, stay again in the future when visiting London and recommend to colleagues.

Our stays in both London and Manchester were very comfortable and the hosts really welcoming. The homes were immaculate and with easy access of the city center... Breakfast was great in both places. One of the London stays was with 5 other colleagues all put up in the same area with good tube access to the institute for our training course.
Booking team was very helpful in suggesting the right accommodation and managed the reservation perfectly. Thank you!

Many thanks to my wonderful, kind, and considerate host. I can recommend a stay at Gloucester Crescent wholeheartedly. Apart from her, the location is splendid, the room is spacious, and so is the bathroom. Continental breakfast with coffee of tea to the liking of the guest paired with fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals, several kinds of bread and the most wonderful homemade orange marmalade is the perfect start for the day in London on professional or touristic endeavours.

I needed to be in London for three weeks for research, kind of an odd amount of time, so Doctor House was the way to go! It's the best of both worlds. Not quite a 'hotel' but not as sketchy as AirBnb. My accommodations were exactly as they were listed online. I would definitely use it again, and I'd probably stay at the same location!

I used Doctor in the House for my recent stay in London, the enquiry process was brilliant, it is so much easier to communicate with a human booking team rather than a computer system! I gave the booking team my requirements and they found me accommodation that perfectly suited my needs. The hosts I stayed with were lovely and my accommodation was beautiful. Thanks!

We had a straight forward booking process. The flat was charming and provided a cosy home with good facilities. Our bed was comfortable and the sweet little kitchen had everything for a couple for basic cooking. The only downside is there is no television but good Wifi. Parking can be an issue if you bring your own car, but transport system are all easily accessible from this apartment.

Officials at Doctor in the House made several good suggestions of houses on the north side of London and helped me to finalize the best choice for me for my daily commute to do research at the British Library: a house in Tufnell Park owned by Lesley Harvey. Lesley was an excellent host. The bedroom had a large bed, book shelves and a desk, and an electric radiator. The window offered much light and a view onto the garden. The bathroom was large. Sheets and towels were changed once per week. I was given use of a large desk in the library on the ground floor. The Internet connection worked well. Breakfasts were excellent. They included cereal, fruit, yoghurt, croissants, toast with butter and jam or marmalade, and coffee and juice.

I recently used Doctor in the House while staying in London for a couple of months. The booking team were really helpful and my Homestay accommodation was just perfect. All the information provided made things easy and the price was really good.
Love working with real people and not bland websites. These guys have my vote.

Lovely accommodation with an excellent host. My room was spacious, clean, sunny, with views to a beautiful garden. I strongly recommended this house to colleagues visiting London.
