I have been seeing Dr Fenton for many years about a hair loss condition. I have always found him to be kind, approachable and professional. He always takes time to answer any questions and is very knowledgable about the latest research. Through him I have been able to manage my hair loss and stop it in it's tracks. I am very happy to highly recommend him.

I first saw Dr Fenton many years ago at St Thomas's and have continued to see him at Harley Street. Hair loss is a very traumatic experience, often dismissed by medical professionals as "just cosmetic". Dr Fenton and his team make you feel comfortable and not embarrassed. He is extremely approachable and I do feel that he really cares about his patients. I trust in his expertise and guidance.

As a young person experiencing hair loss I had immense anxiety and fear over it. Dr Fenton is an extremely kind, talented and professional person that was able to investigate the cause of it and provide me with answers. I am truly grateful for his expertise and the success of the treatment that I have received. He is lovely to speak with and is always able to help address any questions that I have had. He really is the best specialist and his help has really changed my life forever

Highly recommend!!!!
Dealing with hair loss has been a traumatic experience for me.
Family and friends kept saying "it's not that bad"but for me it was absolutely devastating.
Finally I met a doctor who really understood what big impact it had on my mental well-being.
I encountered such kindness and empathy!!Dr.Fenton is absolutely lovely.
I learned that there is no "quick fix"to my problem, but with his expertise, being consistent in following his tailored treatment plan my hair loss has stopped.
My thinning area is gradually filling in.
So grateful for everything!!Thank you Dr.Fenton

I suffer from hair loss and have been a patient of Dr Fenton’s for many years. He has helped me manage my hair loss, and ensured that my loss is not noticeable. He is lovely to speak with at every appointment and always take his time to answer all my questions. It is rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. I am so glad I found him and would highly recommend becoming his patient.

I am very grateful for Dr Fenton’s vast knowledge in the problem area of thinning hair. For over twenty years I have travelled from Aberdeen to London to reap the benefit of his expertise and kind support. In the early days so many were inspired by his ready response to question sessions at the Hairline International meetings organised by Elizabeth Steel. Whereas very often a blank wall is encountered, Dr Fenton can often provide hope and a way forward. I consider him to be a great asset to the medical profession. .

Dr Fenton has saved my hair twice.
Twenty years ago, my hair gradually thinned to the point where I feared I might need to wear a wig. I sought help from my GP and two other consultant dermatologists who were unable to offer any help at all with the problem. Indeed, one introduced herself by saying that she wasn’t really interested in cosmetic dermatology and that I should consider myself fortunate that I hadn’t got skin cancer.
It was therefore an immense relief when I was recommended to Dr Fenton. What a contrast. A consultant with expertise in the identification and treatment of hair loss. A doctor who appreciates the catastrophic impact of hair loss particularly for women. As a Local Government Officer, I worked with teachers, pupils, parents and employers in the local community, a role that required considerable self-assurance. Without Dr Fenton's knowledge, experience and support I am not sure I would have had the confidence to continue with my career.
Dr Fenton ordered a range of tests, diagnosed my condition and prescribed medication that halted the thinning and restored much of my hair. Over the next twenty years that medication has been tweaked to achieve the maximum improvement. I honestly don’t think anyone I know would realise that I have a very significant hair loss condition.
18 months ago I had my regular check up with Dr Fenton. He identified an additional auto immune condition called Lichen Planus that can cause irreversible alopecia developing on my scalp. His prompt diagnosis and treatment has managed this very unpleasant additional problem and my hair remains intact.
I cannot thank Dr Fenton enough for what he has done for me and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who is losing their hair or suffering from thinning hair. I have a friend who is also a consultant dermatologist who asked me who had been treating my scalp condition all these years. When I said Dr Fenton here response was, ‘the best’.

Dr. Fenton has been my doctor since 2012, when I was first diagnosed with my condition, which has been recurring but which Dr. Fenton was very successful in getting under control every time. When I got to Dr. Fenton, my hair was falling significantly and I had been previously consulted by my GP who said that there was nothing to be done and that the condition would go away by its own. Even if this was true, the hair falling was so dramatic that I'm sure I would have lost most of it possibly irreversibly if I hadn't done anything about it. I was in a bad state mentally as although a hair medical condition is not painful or life threatening, it can be very damaging mentally and affect your motivation and confidence, particularly that I was only 24 years old when I was diagnosed. Dr. Fenton was very thorough in the investigation by doing a series of blood tests and asking me a number of questions to ensure I was adequately diagnosed and then promptly put me on treatment which proved to be effective. Thanks to Dr. Fenton my hair recovered almost fully to its original volume and density. During consultations, Dr. Fenton is very professional and actually listens to any concerns you have, regardless of how minor or silly they may sound and answers them with respect and patience. He always takes due diligence in his work, keeping me and the GP in the loop on any consultations and assessments, but most importantly is knowledgeable and has a great deal of experience in hair issues which definitely saved my hair! I totally recommend Dr. Fenton.

I suffer from alopecia areata and started seeing Dr Fenton many years ago. Under his guidance and with his support he helped me to manage the problem, and always did so with great empathy and kindness. I now live many miles away in Hong Kong, but have never found a dermatologist who was ever as good. I just wanted to leave my positive review and experience even though it has been some time since I visited his clinic as there appear to be some disgruntled patients complaining about price. I mean...it's Harley Street. Kinda par for the course in the area. In my experience he's a great doctor.

After cancer treatment, skincare from side effects was poor in Britain - until I discovered Dr. David Fenton. He knows problems caused by cancer drugs, and cured me of painful split nails, itching scalp and other skin problems associated with cancer treatment. Top marks!
