Reviews of Dr Magnus Lynch

I saw Dr Lynch at his Guy's clinic for a precautionary check on a suspicious skin lesion. Turned out to be fine and Dr Lynch was very thorough and reassuring. He took the opportunity to carry out a full visual dermatology screen, including of my scalp under my hair. He explained to me what to look out for and took photos of the offending lesion for my records. I cannot fault his attention to detail, his helpful and friendly manner or his level of professionalism.

If you were to ever consider the practice for a cyst removal or any other surgery that you will cover financially personally (or not), be prepared to not be able to have the full picture in hand when heading to your surgery.
Basically to make the story short I had a minor surgery scheduled, I have asked at least 5 time, either by phone or emails, to the practice to have the full details of the intervention so I have the full picture.
They sent me a quote, saying some fees are at the discretion of the practice. I had to chase them to have the price of the practice which they kindly gave me after 2 weeks.
On the day of the surgery on the bed I am learning that I have to come back the week after to get my stiches removed, which has never ever been mentioned to me before. Even after asking 5 time what is the full picture of the surgery including the recovery stages.
After raising it, the only answer I have is " we are not medically training at the office". Well I am sorry but this by no means a relevant answer when you are the only interlocutor for a patient. It is your responsibility to convey the right message and picture of the surgery to a patient.
Having said that, the surgery in it self went well, and I am happy I trusted Dr. Lynch on the position of the scar which I believe will be very neat, and that's why I have put the 3 stars (and not 1)
However if you are looking for empathy or follow up choose another practitioner. The intervention was just finished that Dr. Lynch was already gone for another patient (which in some way I understand but felt quite rushed on the day.)
In conclusion excellent surgeon but all surroundings are completely off.

I had developed an allergic skin reaction and the symptoms were worsening day by day. I am very glad to have taken the decision to consult Dr. Lynch. Not only did he diagnose it immediately and prescribed targeted treatment that greatly improved my condition within a few days, but also did a thorough investigation to rule out any other causes. He followed up on my progress regularly and did a great job in clearly explaining the details at every step. I would highly recommend him !

It’s been a very long time that I have a allergic skin condition. My whole face, hands, around my ears are getting red, itchy and afterall my skin ends up with painful skin cuts. I’ve visited so many clinics but it wasn’t helpful at all. I’m so happy that I’ve found Dr M Lynch eventually. He literally saved my life! After diagnosing my skin, he prescribed me the skin cream that nearly stopped the itchiness and painful skin cuts in my body. The main thing is, it’s steroid free cream and doesn’t damage my skin at all. I can’t thank him enough and really recommend Dr M Lynch as a dermatologist!

Dr. Magnus Lynch treated my skin condition which was severely affecting my quality of life tipping me into depression despite all treatment locally until I saw him. I was not only impressed by his diagnostic acumen with rational exclusion of other conditions but also by effectiveness of his treatment which was least intrusive and more efficacious.

I had great experience with Dr Magnus Lynch, he did mole check for my wife, also removed a mole and lipoma for me.
The procedures were arranged very quickly, the doctor has done high quality job.

Superb - beyond demonstrating clear medical expertise, as you would expect from someone of Dr Lynch’s calibre, he was highly empathetic and understanding about the mental health implications of skin problems. I saw Dr Lynch for stubborn papular rosacea and would not hesitate to see him again, or to recommend him. Clearly the consultation is somewhat expensive if you are not insured, but you are paying to see a leading specialist in the area of dermatology, and from my experience it was worth it. I have noticed an improvement in my rosacea in just a couple of weeks since seeing Dr Lynch and picking up my prescription, and am happier as a result, which is priceless.
