I joined GP at Hand back in 2017 and I do not look back. You can speak to a GP, nurse, prescribing pharmacist or mental health practitioner from in a few hours to a couple of days. Most consultations in general don't need to be in person, and a phone or video call work perfectly for 90% of our medical needs. GP at Hand saves time for people who really need to be seen in-person. But if you ever need to do a test or have a physical consultation, there are several clinics across London, easy to get to and with verey civilised waiting times. In my experience, all clinicians have always been friendly and extremely helpful, listening and responding to all my queries with compassion. You can set up your repeat prescription and choose to speak to the same clinician - thus being able to choose your own GP - which is a lot more than many in-person practices offer. It is perfect if you need to travel for work too, as you can see a clinician from anywhere in the world. I love Babylon and I could not recommend it enough.

Joined GP at Hand back in 2018/2019 and has been very useful especially through the pandemic. There were times I could not get through to 111 during the height of Covid nor register at my local GP for health issues and GP at Hand was super useful ! I do get sometimes they can be bad with timings I.e. hospital referrals; they told me to call one hospital regarding booking my appointment a week after I was seen in person at one of the clinics, only to be scolded by the hospital for calling so soon, but I explained I was told by GP at Hand to call... sometimes I think just bad timings and a little short on the organisation.

Wonderful GP service. Each gp is very attentive, make sure everything is understood and that no further questions are there. I can’t imagine going back to traditional gp again. This service is fuss free. You can book appointment at any time of the day and night super flexible to fit anybody’s schedule. Well trained staff. I can’t recommend it more ! Just use it :)

I went for a face to face appointment with Dr Elizabeth Stutters and she was friendly, helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. 5 stars service! I've been here also for some routine exams with HCA clinician and she struggled taking the blood (tried both arms and more than once), which was the 1st time that happened to me. I really do love GP at Hand - every doctor I've spoken to has been lovely, empathetic and knowledgeable. The app is great and the physical clinic I went to once for a blood test was extremely well run with great staff working there. The only few downsides I've had are quite regular last minute cancellations from nurses (which led, on one occasion, to me not being able to get another appt for a few days and having to call 111 and use up resource there) and the support line feels non-existent. I've tried to call several times over the months for no-one to pick up or use the call back function. When it works, it really works great though

It's good. Getting an appointment is easy and works. But at times, I have had to go through a lot of trouble too with them. For e.g. - they lost my blood samples twice and made we wait for 2 hours for a blood test the second time, because they forgot to fill some admin request form. - getting a physical appointment is not so easy but if you do, their centres are at only few places. The GPs/nurses I have talked to over call, most of them are nice and spend all the time to ensure I have been satisfied of the conversation. (But not always)

The best GP service I have ever experienced. After years of struggling to get appointments at times that worked around my work schedule, speaking to grumpy receptionists, never being able to get prescriptions renewed on time, I discovered this wonderful online GP service. Being able to speak to a doctor/nurse/prescribing pharmacist either on the phone or via video call has made taking care of my health a simple and pleasant process. You can book your appointments online and there is never long to wait. Prescriptions are sent straight to your nominated pharmacy, and if you do need to actually see a doctor or specialist face to face, it’s very simple to arrange a follow up at one of the clinics. I have told all my friends that this is great.

After a video appointment, we went here for a blood test. The receptionists were welcoming and there was a nice waiting area. The nurse was kind and punctual. I reckon it might get busy when the pandemic calms down but otherwise it is a nice practice and I would recommend people to visit.

Best GP experience I've ever had. Love the online appointments but the clinic was also a really nice space. It feels private as they only see people if they assess the need for a face-to-face appointment, so the clinics are clean and tidy and often practically empty! The clinicians are always really friendly and I've had only good experiences here. Which is more than I've been able to say for any other GP!

This service has its pros and cons. I think the pros outweigh the cons if you are living in a big city. In London the quality of care at local GP practices is often under strain due to numbers of registered patients. With Babylon you are more likely to get an appointment within a day of two. Sometimes even within a few hours. Although there is a high rate of cancellations by the practitioners. It's easy to reschedule if that happens. I have found either incredibly skilled support, or 'acceptable' support from the doctors and prescribing pharmacist. Sometimes the support has been incredible, and significantly better than any local service I have had. Highly empathetic, knowledge and holistic. If you don't have complex needs, GP at Hand is probably a service improvement. The support of Babylon is quick and efficient too.

Been using GP At Hand for the last couple of years after moving into an area with poorly rated local surgeries. Really great service so far, almost everything has been able to be dealt with over the phone, often same or next day appointments, with any prescriptions going to my local pharmacy to pick up shortly afterwards. I've had two trips into an in person clinic for routine tests and I was impressed by the short waiting times there - not as closely located as a local GP service but the short journey didn't cause any problems and the choice of appointment times was welcome. As a fairly healthy person who just needs some minor treatments occasionally and routine tests such as smear tests etc, this is perfect for me. It's also great to have access to the doctor's notes on the app.

I am so happy with this service. To begin with the app itself is easy to navigate and has helpful self help tools. There are so many appointments available all day. All the GPs and nurses I've had consultations with are very attentive and compassionate. When I have truly needed any investigations or treatments I've received them with no issues. I attended in person at South Westminster Centre some days ago for a blood test. The building itself was nice. The staff that let me in the waiting was lovely. I saw nurse Matthew for a blood test. He made me feel at ease and made a usually unpleasant experience easy and quick. I really appreciate everything the service has done for me and I would definitely recommend it.

This service has worked really well for me. I like being able to manage everything via the app, and having a choice of clinics to visit if I need a physical appointment. I feel like I've been empowered to take greater care of my health as the GP's are keen to involve me in any decisions and share my health data with me. I’ve found this to be a great service. It’s usually easy to get same day and weekend appointments (however, recently I’ve had to wait a few days for an appointment). I found the service superior to other NHS GP practices I’ve been registered at, the doctors really listen for the most part, they explain things well and involve you in decisions. It’s been really easy to get letters, referrals and prescriptions. When I’ve had to be seen face-to-face, the process has been great, on these occasions I’ve been seen immediately. The major positive for me is that when I’ve had an ongoing issue I’ve been able to contact the support team and book my appointments with the same doctor. I’ve been so grateful for this continuity. The only problem that I’ve had is around sick notes. Usually they come via secure text within a few days but they have been two occasions that I’ve had to chase for them. The support team was largely responsive however.

This has got to be the future of medicine. It's super convenient, I can often speak to a GP the same day whereas before I could be waiting weeks for an appointment which might mean running out of a prescription medication before I could get it renewed. The support helpline have also been really helpful with any questions I've had. I have used this app quite a bit. I would normally leave health concerns unchecked due to the inconvenience whereas now its much easier to spot something early and arrange a quick appointment which means my medical records are a more accurate reflection of my health. Every doctor, nurse and physiotherapist I've interacted with through the app has been great - good at listening, attentive and understanding, skilled at explaining next steps - and I've always left positive reviews. My partner had a difficult time with one doctor who he felt was a little dismissive but he left a review about this and the next doctor he saw gave him the referral he needed so our experiences with GP at hand reflect our normal GP experiences. It's high quality. I like that they have a number of clinics in London and hope the NHS can get on board so app-based GP appointments can be accessible for people in other parts of the country.

The mix of video consultations and face to face clinics when needed works very well. I have been able to speak with a GP within an hour of requesting an appointment. The doctors have been very professional and approachable and refer patients to physical clinics when needed. The clinics I have visited have been well run and are conveniently located. Have used Babylon GP at Hand NHS since it first became a thing. No more waiting for hours trying to get through to reception or waiting days for appointments. I’ve used the phone, video and face to face consults numerous times over the years and have never regretted it. As the platform grew generally the wait time has increased ever so slightly and the support team can be busy but these aren’t reasons for me to not like the platform. One of the biggest perks is being able to see consult notes after for transparency and if you forget what the doctor says.

Fantastic service. I have been using this service since 2017. Never failed me. Quick access to GPs even at odd hours. Either through audio or video. It's greatly improved since. No rush, relaxed in my own familiar environment i.e my house ☺️. The doctors are very helpful and patiently explain the problem and course of action. I've been using GP at hand for over 2 years. I want to o give an honest review because even though I believe they are 5* that is down to my GP herself not the company. Who hands down is the best Dr I have ever had To that end. Sometimes receptionists are rude. Sometimes Drs do not give adequate care because of preconceived notions. But every time I raised a complaint it was dealt with. I trust my Dr implicitly. All in all I like the model of care and convenience, people who complain about GP privatisation don't always know that all/most GP surgerys are privately owned consortiums or businesses.

I moved from my local bricks-and-mortar GP to GP at Hand with Babylon and haven't looked back. I very rarely need face-to-face appointments, but at my local GP this could take weeks to become available. With Babylon, it's usually same day within a few hours of booking a slot in my front room with a phone. If a prescription is dispensed, it's sent to my pharmacy of choice by the time I've arrived and it's usually ready to go within a few minutes. I can understand that if you have complex case histories, this may not be ideal for you, but if you're an average Joe on the move, I'd try this out first and see if the shoe fits.

I recommend GP at hand to all my friends and family. Telephone consultation appointments are easily accessed, same or next day usually. Follow up face-to-face appointments are also prompt and I’m usually seen within the same week thanks to Babylon’s multiple clinic locations all over london. I don’t mind travelling a little further if it means I’m seen sooner. All the GP’s are extremely professional and thorough! Which is refreshing. The customer service helpline is always available, the phone line is never ‘busy’ as it commonly is with the traditional local gp clinics. Honestly the best health service I’ve experienced, very glad I switched over.

I have used this service numerous times. I love it and will never go back to my old GP. I love that I can see a doctor or pharmacist or nurse at all hours! Should you wish to speak to a GP at 3 am, you can just click on that time slot! No more “sorry, the GP is booked for the next two weeks!” Now I am able to discuss my concerns in a timely manner. Better yet, the video conversation is saved in the app for me to watch again later, additionally, the treatment plan is also saved in the app so I can follow instructions without forgetting any important details. At the end of every consultation, you are asked to rate the service, as such, it’s usually always great! Where it may not be ideal, a bad review seems to ensure you never have contact with that staffer again - the use of technology here is outstanding, you just don’t get this service at a traditional GP practice! The artificial intelligence feature of the app is getting better, although I don’t use it much yet given it’s so easy to speak to someone at short notice and mostly at any time you want 24/7 - even when you are overseas! No need to hunt down an English speaking doctor anymore if there is a good internet connection.

I am very happy with Babylon so far. It's been a year and a half that I am using the service. The ability to talk to a medical professional often the same day, has changed my view of the NHS in general. I used to consider it the National Hibernation Service..it still is to some extent, when you go for referrals etc. But with Babylon coming in, the primary care has improved a lot. I'd recommend Babylon to be extended nationwide.

I've never been physically to the clinic, but used the app several times. It's brilliant. There is always a doctor available in max 15min for consultation over phone or video call. So far I love it. I switched within a day and sent an email about how to get my medication switched over. They told me to make a GP appointment, which I made on a Sunday. I hopped out of the shower two minutes before the appointment and they called when they said they would. My medication wasn't on their list so they had me make an appointment with a consulting pharmacist. They don't have as many appointments available for the pharmacist but it still was pretty flexible. They were able to give me my preferred medication and sent the prescription to a pharmacy of my choice within the day. I also love how you have a recording of your appointment so you can look back and the written summary ifs very detailed and helpful. I haven't been sick yet, but so far I'm happy with it! Much more convenient than my last GP and very friendly, flexible and punctual service.

I've been using Babylon GP at Hand for almost 2 years. It's excellent as it offers same-day appointments sometimes in the next hour via video/phone. They've handled any physical appointments very well when I need to see someone face to face (it seems to take much longer to get a physical appointment recently). They can do referral to specialists, prescribe medicines and write sick notes. All a normal GP would offer but much more convenient! The only downside is the call to the admin team takes ages to get through (10-20mins during lunch hours). Also it can take 2+ weeks to get a face to face appointment at the location near you.

I have been using Babylon GP at Hand for over 1 year. Gone are the days of trying to phone my local surgery at 8am, getting the engaged tone and hitting redial over and over again, only to be told there are no appointments available. Now I can book a call or video appointment with a GP usually within half an hour, at a time and in a location to suit me. I have also avoided a visit to A&E, skipping the standard 4 hour wait. I got a GP appointment, referral to a local non emergency clinic, x-ray and all clear in less than the 4 hours I would have had to wait in A&E. Plus I can order my repeat prescriptions from the app, choosing which pharmacy I want to send them to, and I even get reminders to re-order regular mediation. I have nothing but positive things to say about this service!

Wow, this is so good you just have to join. There are a couple of items all users should know as not all horses run well on all courses. Your Dr will probably be different each time. Physical appointments are made at their clinics - not an issue as you can usually get one within the day. Video quality isn't as HD as I'd like. Your records will be transferred from your current Dr's. You can often get an appointment within 10 mins of needed it. You often get full resolution on the call. This includes scripts, recommendations, referrals and the like. I have had followup tests booked and confirm while I was on the call. Service is 24/7/365. There are Pharmacist and Physio appointments also available through the app. There is an AI behind this (check YouTube) with all you data and amazing diagnostic ability. The chat function often has a higher percentage diagnosis success than a GP.

Very useful and fast service! I had a pretty bad cold and was able to book an appointment with the GP the same day. The practitioner was punctual, and very approachable. Even though it was a 15 min appointment, nothing felt rushed. Excellent service and staff.

GP at Hand is overall an excellent idea. However, the NHS needs to radically improve data sharing between hospitals so that all medically qualified staff within the NHS have access to all of a patient's data prior to a physical or online meeting. The data must include results of all scans, BP tests, hospital and GP visits, health clinic reports and recommendations for treatment. The current system is inefficient and wastes time and staff effort. Each hospital and health clinic maintains its own results that are not shared with other outlets in the NHS system.

Having lived in London for some time constantly switching zones, updating my GP felt like a notification I kept hitting the "not now" button on. As a generally young, fit and healthy individual I never felt I relied on my doctors for very much at all. A friend recommended Babylon GP at Hand, all done within an app on your phone; NHS GPs wherever and whenever you need them. The sign up process was smooth and simple and took me 5 minutes, it then takes a couple of weeks before they have your medical records and you can get started with the app. I have been using GP at Hand for nearly 3 years now and to my surprise I became very unwell a year ago, what I didn't realise was I was about to face 10 months of extensive investigations and procedures and eventually be diagnosed with a lifelong disease at the age of 24. It wasn't easy in any sense but I assure you, having the support of the GPs at GP at Hand any hour of the night or day, allowed me to seek advice every step of the way. I think GP at Hand doctors are doing an attentively fantastic job and are a golden example of using innovative technologies to improve all of our daily lives.

Great service, can't believe I stayed with my previous surgery for so long even though it was impossible to get an appointment! Have been using GP at Hand for around a year now, have had many phone call appointments, face to face appointments, blood tests etc and all generall on time and easy. Often I'm the only patient at the surgery when I go to the physical appointments, which is kind of mind blowing in London. The only downside is that if you have to actually deal with Babylon, the people who own the app GP af Hand uses, they are kind of rubbish - or at least were. But it seems they have a better system in place now so that unless theres some kind of unforseen issue you shouldnt ever have to deal with them. Recommend 100%.

I have been living in London for 6 years and went to the GP once. However, the other day I suddenly got sick (pharyngitis) and needed an antibiotic as soon as possible. While I was going to work (8.30am) I registered with Babylon GP, by 10.30 they have confirmed my account and I was able to book appointments. I had the appointment at 11, and went to pick up my prescriptions at 12.30. Absolutely perfect, super comfortable, super quick. Recommended it already to all my friends! The best thing about this is that you are given treatments and advice straight away and exactly when you need it, not 2 days later (at best) as with you GP.

Best GP service I've ever used! I've had multiple in person and online/phone appointments and have got excellent care, plenty of time and understand accepting doctors. Is it perfect? No. In person appointments don't show in app and medical records don't either except for online appointments. Too many things need a call to customer service. But compared to any other GP I've seen? Amazing. A healthcare revolution.

I had two online appointments and a referral for a blood test, it was smooth and easy. GP that saw me were competent and they explained in a comprehensible way why I need a blood test and the results. I gave only 4 stars because one of their GPs cancelled my online appointment out of the blue 20 minutes before the booked time, however it happened only once.

I have been able to get online GP appointments within a few hours, often within the hour. I've also had several follow ups in clinics which have been easy to book and quick to come up. I just had some outpatient NHS surgery which was easy to manage also. All in all I am very happy with the GP at Hand service fro the NHS and for me it's a huge improvement from my former GP clinic, which was unfriendly, unwelcoming and where even a GP appointment could take weeks. I don't think GP at Hand would be as suitable for anyone with very complicated medical issues who needs to see a nominated GP face to face regularly, and I worry that the NHS funding model leaves the more complicated/expensive patients to traditional GP surgeries to care for, but that's not GP at Hand's fault and the funding model should evolve to cope with it. For many people like me, GP at Hand is a vast improvement to the NHS access and patient experience.

So far, I had a great experience. With the busy live in London, the time it saves me to visit my local GP is amazing. I have not had to visit in person yet but it seems pretty easy too. I had a prescription issued already that took 2 appointments of 10 mins each but at least I could fit that easier around my timetable than taking time off work.

First ever phone appointment was allocated so quickly-within two days-which is amazing to start with. That was fairly impossible before.-unless I had to notify my work and take time off in advance etc. Even though the call was slightly delayed-the doctor’s service proved so much better in comparison to my previous GP’s overall experience. The experience I've had so far with GP AT HAND are very positive . Of course there has been a couple of problems when for some reason the GP could not get through to me I sent two emails asking for an explanation, which I never got. But in the end, when I phoned up the following day my appointment got sorted very quickly. So the most good thing about the service is the fact you can get an appointment on the same day with a GP and the doctors are very friendly. Really amazing how fast and simple it is to register, and actually be seen in a few minutes / hours, but always on the day! The GPs I spoke to were extremely nice and knowledgeable, and their consultation notes were conveniently saved after the conversation. The customer service line to book blood tests / physical consultation is open until quite late, and they offer super convenient locations as well. I don’t know why I didn’t switch sooner instead of waiting and waiting to book appointments that I sometimes needed to book weeks in advance, or having to wait until they “release their time slots”. I would recommend this to anyone that is able to sign up with it. Having the ability to video call a doctor (often later the same day) and discuss something with them has changed how I use the GP. Very useful to have appointments on demand. Automatic prescription orders to pharmacies can be problematic though as some pharmacies are not used to this system and frequently lose prescriptions. Doctors also randomly decide to not turn up to appointments. Babylon needs a Uber style rating system to prevent that happening. Also please bring back video recordings of appointments. They were very useful for remembering what was said. If doctors don't like themselves being recorded then that says more about the doctor's competence than anything else.

I was waiting my old clinic to prescribe some medication for over a month now, my former GP would never call me so I transferred to GP at hand they got my registration the same day with all my records. I waited 45 minutes before speaking to someone so it's not very good if you need to book a consultation in person or you got questions. Doctors are supportive and very friendly but if you need a blood test they try to send you to canary wharf which is miles from where I live. A normal doctor gives you a paper form to take to local hospital and it's done. Think the support team need to understand if elderly person forr example cant travel the distance. A decent service. It took a while to set up, but I could use my normal GP until the day I got my email, and my GP phoned me up to confirm it's what I wanted. I've always had appointments within 20 minutes of me requesting one. I got a blood test done, which was posted to me, then I got the results emailed to me on request within 2 days. I phoned at 9pm on Friday and got an appointment right near my work for 3pm the following Monday. Quite happy, all in all. My regular prescription was prescribed and sent to my pharmacy without issue.

I'd recommend the service for people in good health that have the occasional minor ailment. Appointments can be had in minutes or at most in a few hours, and in the case I needed a prescription, it was electronically delivered to my neighbourhood pharmacy in minutes. For face-to-face visits in London, you will need to go to one of the 5 physical locations. They are clinics-within-a-clinic, so separate queues and doctors. All in all, helpful and friendly support staff and fantastic if you have a busy schedule. On the down side, I experienced teething issues that prevent me from giving the service 5 stars. First, I received 3 test kits/requests in the post over different days; turns out they were duplicates sent out in error, but definitely caused (me) confusion. Then I received a request to make an appointment to get my test results even after I had already completed one. Finally, the test results are delivered via email only after you write a manual consent message to them; can't these just be posted in the app? Long story short, it looks like they're on the right path to sorting out these niggles, and definitely a service worth trying out.

This app is a game changer - it made life so much easier for me. No more physically going to GPs, only to wait another 30 min after your appointment time, then when you finally mee your GP him/her tell you that you only have 10min to talk about your problems. None of this BS with Babylon. Convenient appointments at the tip of your finger (which can be made as early as within the next three hours), and so far all the GPs I have talked to on the app have been very sincere. Hope they keep up the quality of the service. HOWEVER, I only give it a 4 star because I know their in-person clinics suffer the same problems from the traditional GPs.

And yes, a few form-filling problems have come up - but the super friendly and courteous phone support team helped me sort it. I'm sticking with it. They'll sort out the structural problems. Honestly amazing. You can usually speak with a doctor or advanced nurse within a couple of hours and have an in person follow up if needed. Everyone I have dealt with had been friendly and professional. The service is way better than my previous gp pract. I can't recommend them enough!
