I don't think that 5 stars really covers what Hearology have done to my quality of life. I was deaf in one ear for 20 years and never expected to get the hearing back. I regularly had my ear cleaned there and Vincent noticed there was probably something we could do to sort it. After careful collaboration with Kenny, i now have my hearing back and my life has totally changed. Charming, friendly and really know what they're doing. Would recommend a thousand times over.

Excellent microsuction. The whole process felt extremely professional and clean. The clinician was great and made me feel at ease. The only comment I'd have was that the appointment felt a bit rushed, despite me being on time. I didn't feel like I had time to ask many questions and I was hurried in to the appointment. I suppose it needs to fit into a 15 minute slot but when you're paying that amount (and in my case didn't really even need much wax removal) I'd like to feel like perhaps I had 20 minutes instead, to ask questions and not feel like the clock was ticking. I'd definitely recommend Hearology though, all in all I had a great experience.

Went for an ear clean and the staff were wonderful. They were extremely friendly and professional. The actual procedure was less than 15 minutes and I am thoroughly pleased with the results. Went in struggling to hear out of one ear due to earwax blockage and came out with my hearing back and the discomfort in my ear removed. Would highly recommend for people suffering with blocked ears.

Needed an emergency appointment for a friend. The whole process of obtaining an appointment was very much helped by staff who couldn't have been more helpful, considerate and kind. I'm very happy with the service overall. I went in with a blocked ear after having no success clearing it myself with ear drops from the pharmacy. I was able to get a next day appointment and the whole thing only took about 15 minutes in total. The doctor was kind, explained everything clearly and did a good job cleaning my ear, including the one that wasn't blocked.

I was directed to this kind of service by the NHS and a friend had recommended hearology. My problem wasn’t fully resolved in the original appointment, at which point I was told I could return for a follow up without further charge. However, the clinician offered to see me in a free slot 15 minutes later, even while he had other things to do, and was successful. Good service and clear communications.

Edit: maybe 3 stars is too harsh - edited to 4 stars - however my comments stand. Hearology’s reply to my feedback says I failed to mention about being offered another appointment, and when they did so I refused and said I’d rather go elsewhere, when I did not. Yes they did politely offer me another appointment the following day at another clinic, which I thank them for, but I simply and perfectly politely replied “not to worry”, as I knew I couldn’t get to London Bridge on Saturday. And all I politely mentioned before that, is I knew my appointment would highly likely be quick, and politely questioned about the appointment after me going early. As for the Ryanair reference - okay maybe a bit harsh, given their reputation for customer service, but the key point I was making is valid - low cost airlines operate a tight turnaround time with little or no leeway for exceptions, and the ‘zero tolerance’ appointment system hearology run is the same to some extent. I of course, completely appreciate lateness is difficult to manage as I acknowledged, but rather than getting into the laws of Physics, it was simply saying there is an extremely tight 15min appointment system with little/no buffer, which some business allow for, and maybe there’s room for improvement - for example if needs to be that tight for their business model (which is fine), then maybe there is a better way of setting appointments 5-10 mins before the treatment time, to allow for overruns, time people to find the building / arrive / register, or anyone running a few minutes late. That way it maybe also wouldn’t feel so rushed, as some other reviews have pointed out. Failing that maybe the confirmation email/text could at least more clearly ask people please arrive 5 minutes before the appointment. As I highlighted, some appointments over run and patients can equally be made to wait (as I have been happy to several times), and so yes it is a little frustrating when that flexibility isn’t reciprocated. But if anything, it was simply feedback, as well as a warning to others not to be late! I’d fully recognise the service overall is good, and 3 stars (now 4) isn’t exactly a bad review. I do question businesses that rush to the defensive and quote things that wasn’t said, rather attempting to take onboard any feedback - but if that’s just because of my Ryanair reference touched a nerve, then I apologise - but they really shouldn’t feel too sad about feedback - there’s always room for improvement, including me getting off the tube at St James’ Park next time. Take care. ** original review** Was 4.5 stars now 3.5 lol. It’s essentially a great service, in terms of the actual cleaning service they provide, but as others point out it is all very rushed - so make sure you arrive early, be prepared to wait if they are running over, but don’t expect any flex if you are even slightly late. They essentially operate a Ryanair style turnaround with 15 minute appointments and no buffer. That’s all fine with quick simple cases, but some clearly take longer. On more than one previous visit, I’ve waited 10-15mins past my appointment time to be seen, which wasn’t a problem, but when I arrive 5mins late for one appointment (they say 7, I say 5, but I’m not going to split hairs lol), there was zero flex the other way round. They simply saw the booked appointment after me early, and used the additional time I provided from my appointment, and wouldn’t see me. Not even when a subsequent appointment said they were more than happy to wait 10mins, and I knew my case would be probably very quick. Of course it’s my fault for being 5 mins late on that occasion, so not a complaint as such, but it does feel like they could have a better buffer / scheduling system. Competition in this space is increasing with new providers and cheaper prices (not that cheapest is always best), and the overly strict policy and inflexibility, especially given that higher price, may turn some people off returning. As I say though, I would still recommend their actual service, so more feedback than anything.

I would highly recommend Hearology - look no further in your search for a reliable and safe ear clinic. I went to Hearology Victoria for ear microsuctioning, having had a bad experience a week earlier which was painful, failed to remove all of the ear wax and left me feeling deafened and dizzy (do NOT go to Gee's chemist). I was therefore anxious going in for a second attempt, but my experience at Hearology was first class. The staff there were nice, knowledgeable and very experienced. Vincent explained everything I needed to know at the beginning, and made me feel at ease throughout the procedure. I can finally hear properly again after months of deafness and tinnitus. The procedure was quick and painless with no side effects. Just amazing hearing! It was totally worth the money and I will certainly be coming back in the future.

I had a blockage of ear wax in my left ear which in turn prevented my hearing. It was a fault of my own for using cotton buds! I started searching up companies for ear wax removal on the Sunday when I had the loss of hearing, it wasn’t until Monday afternoon I found Hearology. I called them and asked for a same day which they were unable to do. However they did give me 10am the next morning which is just as good. The price was £89 which at first I thought Is a bit much but you get what you pay for. The service was fantastic, I don’t normally leave reviews but I owe it to them. You can’t put a price on health and hearing. £89 for the service they provided which brilliant. It is clean, professional and a nice quiet zone. As soon as the procedure was finished my hearing came back straight away. I am a relieved man, you never know how good you got it till it’s gone! I will be sure to make this an annual check up of mine, people forget how vital ears are when doing check ups. I must say I was shocked by the amount of earwax that was in my ears but now knowing it is clean a part of me feels blessed. This was my first ever check up and I suggest if you got a blocked ear loss of hearing you get to this place!

Having narrower than usual ear canals means I have had a number of earwax removals by Microsuction over the years but this was undoubtedly the best experience of them all. I have been coming to Hearology every year for the past 3 years, they do provide a great check-up of the both ears, and a good clean up of the wax from the ear canal. its quick and efficient. However customer service wise, this year they let me down. I think a nice and kind attitude is always important with any service provided.

Both my ears were blocked with wax for about 3 weeks and my local GP surgery could not get me an appointment to have my ears syringed for another month. I was desperate and could not wait any longer for something to be done so my wife contacted a number of private ear clinics but most she spoke to could not provide me with an early appointment. She then found a company nline called Hearology who were happy to see me within 48 hours. When I arrived for the appointment at their clinic in Victoria, the office was clean/ modern and the staff were very friendly and courteous and directed me to their waiting room. I didnt have long to wait before the audiologist technician came to greet me and show me to his room. I explained the problem and he then explained to me the process he would be doing using a suction device to clear the trapped wax from my ears. The suction method was painless with only a tickling sensation inside the ear when it was being done and after around 15 minutes both my ears were totally cleared of any wax. I've got to say it felt so amazing to be able to hear clearly again!! It was expensive at £89 but I would highly recommend this procedure and Hearology to anyone with clogged up ears because it is smooth, painless and fast. Thank you Charles.

I used to go to France to remove the ear wax in my ears and it was very uncomfortable, because of the COVID I could not go back to France to do it so I decided to give Hearology a try and I have been very impressed by their service. It was painless and a way more comfortable, the ENT doctor would show me what came out and explained what he was doing. I will go back again. The price is a bit punchy if you are used to french health cost but well, we are in London...

Probably the quickest £80 I've ever spent.Excellent service but was shown a small amount of wax from my right ear (much less than I would have imagined) and the left ear was even quicker to "empty". Seemed like no more than 6 minutes overall. I was told they wouldn't charge for a wax free ear, but have no idea if I actually needed this treatment as a certain amount of wax in the ear is essential. The jury is out , although it was nice to have confirmation that ear drums etc were fine.

I need to have my ears cleaned every two months, so I have been to Hearology numerous times. It's easy to book, the process is efficient, the staff are friendly and the service is excellent. I normally see Harry who is knowledgeable and thorough. Due to previous bad experiences with syringing, I find the process quite nerve-wracking, but Harry always puts my mind at rest, explaining what is happening and detailing after care. Highly recommended.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You - to the customer care team and to Harry. I never leave reviews but I feel I absolutely must, to hopefully benefit anyone who finds themselves with blocked ears, due to infection or otherwise and who is not sure, or is concerned, about what steps to take. My GP had told me that I would need to use olive oil for 7 days to loosen a blockage otherwise microsuction would be painful. This was not the case at all. A blocked ear was really getting me down ( as well as the other infected ear) and in the end after doing my own research I made an appointment after using oil for one day. I just wish I had booked as soon as the problem occurred. The procedure was painless, brought instant relief and I can honestly say is the best £80 I have ever spent. Harry was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and kind, as were those who answered my calls with patience and care in the customer service team.

EDIT: After posting a one star review below, I received a really thoughtful response from management who took my comments very seriously, and so I am changing the review to 3 star to reflect this balance. I am satisfied that they have both understood my experience, explained reasons for what went wrong while accepting responsibility, and listened to my comments to improve further. I can't fault their response to this and appreciate them taking the time to get in touch and use it as a chance for improvement. -- I was really disappointed with this service. I had an appointment at the end of last year, thankful that after lockdown somewhere was finally open for me to get my ears done as I suffer with blocked ears quite regularly. I usually opt for syringing, as I have very small and twisty ear canals and can find microsuction quite painful, but I had no choice here. The waiting room was Covid-secure and professional (although the receptionist spent the half hour or so I was waiting on a personal call at her desk, so wasn't available for any queries). I didn't mind waiting, except when the audiologist came down he was clearly in a huge rush, running up the stairs ahead of me, and this continued throughout the appointment - very brusque, agitated manner and made me even more nervous about the microsuction. I explained my qualms with microsuction and previous experience of pain and infection following the procedure. However, when it hurt and I was flinching, he claimed it was my fault because of my ear canals and was clearly exasperated. In the end I just grin and beared it and waited for it to be over, but he was very very rough. It was a very unpleasant experience, mostly because of his attitude and the fact he was clearly rushing, rather than the microsuction itself which I always knew would be a bit uncomfortable. When claiming payment at the end, I was even pressured to leave a review then and there whilst still in the appointment room, in front of the audiologist! Several times. I said I would do it when I got home which seemed a bit baffling to him (I did not want to leave a dishonest review). I wonder if this is why this place has so many five star reviews. I do not recommend this as a service, especially for the price it charges. Even as a last resort I don't think I would go here again.

I was experiencing severe ear pain prior to visiting Harry at Hearology, Victoria. My GP had identified that there was an infection and a build up of wax in my left ear. She suggested Hydrogen Peroxide drops which had no impact on clearing the build up of wax or infection. Much more efficient than getting your ears syringed. Appointments booked online which is really easy and convenient. The ‘hoovering’ feels a bit strange, can seem loud and a tiny bit uncomfortable at times, but really works. They show you the lumps that come out of your ears, which is kind of gross but strangely satisfying. Definitely recommend them.

The lady who did my ears had to spend a lot of time doing my right blocked ear because I had put in Sodium Bicarbonate drops for a week before I came thinking it would help, but it softened the wax causing it to go all over the place in the ear area and also stick to the ear drum. If I hadn't done that it probably would have come out quickly in one lump. This meant she couldn't spend much time on my left ear which wasn't blocked but, I would have thought that it had a lot of wax in it. As it was, she only did micro suction on it for about a minute or less before saying it was clear. I hope it was! I guess she had probably gone over my allotted time and may have been worried about people waiting outside. I could be wrong of course!

I am a doctor and based on my experiences I can strongly recommend this service. Harry who treated me is a qualified audiologist, very skilled and very kind. Hearology provide a great service. Because Harry did such a good job cleaning my external auditory canals I took his advice and had special earplugs made based on the shape of my ears. These have proved excellent and allowed me to swim without having trouble hearing in the days and weeks following my submersion. I was going on holiday and looking forward to some scuba diving when 2 days before I was leaving my ears became blocked & one of them quite painful. I made an appointment with the Victoria branch of Hearology and Harry there was very thorough, spending longer than my appointment time trying to unblock my ears. It turns out I've got very narrow ear canals, so he finally had to admit defeat, but referred me on to their London Bridge branch the following day, where he thought they'd have better success with more advanced equipment. I went along the following day & was seen by a Dr Krishna, who confirmed that my ear canals are extremely narrow, but he was finally able to clear both my ears. Dr Krishna also prescribed anti-biotic ear drops as one of my ears was inflamed. I paid a total of £179.00 for the two appointments & for the prescription. However later that day I queried the cost, as the original price was supposed to be £60.00 (on offer, reduced from £80.00). I was contacted by Laurence, who owns the business, who agreed that the charge was too high. Without further discussion he arranged to refund me £89.00, so I only paid £60.00 for the original appointment & £30.00 for the prescription. Given this, & the excellent service I received, I'd definitely recommend Hearology. I've had no problems with my ears since, & was able to scuba dive on holiday :-)

Michael removed all the wax and checked the health of the eardrum which was all fine, and gave useful advice after asking about getting ear plugs for live music, avoiding dry ears, and the issues involved with using oil too much. I almost cried with joy. I'd been suffering with a blocked ear for a couple of weeks, being bounced from GP to clinic, until someone told me about micro suction and found Hearology. The audiologist was very clear (esp afterwards, ho ho), explaining everything as we went along. But, if you've never had micro suction (but need it), it is like the lifting of an aural veil. It doesn't hurt — it's just noisy — but you leave with the whole world sounding sharper and brighter. Thank you!

Audiologist, Dylan Walker, was very professional in his approach and conduct, taking the care and time to explain in detail the functions & anatomy of the ear, and taking an in-depth look into the health and status of my ears, before and after the treatment. My right-ear in particular, was completely blocked as a result of utilising a cotton bud to clean my ear to ease an itch, but this impacted my ear. After following ear drops treatment for 4-5days I faced little improvement, incurring a badly developed reaction and inflammed ear to the drops. Dylan took me through the step-by-step process of the microsuction procedure, and was calm and re-assuring. All was completed efficiently & effectively, pain-free! Very much over-the-moon with the end result, and stoked to be able to have crystal clear hearing again, than dull, muffled noise. Highly recommend!
