I had a HoLEP Holmium Prostate Laser procedure with Surgeon Mr Marios Hadjipavlou (via London Urology Specialists) this treatment method is less invasive, i.e it is especially suitable for older men. Marios made me feel totally at ease from the very start (ie the initial consultation). The actual procedure was done at Private Care at Guys (HCA Healthcare). The room for the overnight stay was very comfortable. Marios’s expertise in the laser procedure was outstanding with the result that there were very few after effects and advice was given in pelvic exercises prior to the operation. Speaking personally of my experience of Marios’s work on my prostate, I most probably had one of the best surgeons currently available.

I was lucky enough to be introduced to LUS through a family member who works for the Movember charity after enduring over a year of debilitating chronic pain due to collateral damage from a course of radiotherapy for prostate cancer. The radio was successful in that there is no sign of the cancer returning four years on, but the side effects were such that, despite "gold standard" pain management treatment, the local urology specialists pretty well gave up on solving the underlying issues. At my first meeting with Mr Jeremy Ockrim, after going through my history, he stated in a very matter-of-fact way that "we can fix this". His confidence was completely borne out and, after delays caused by the Covid pandemic, he carried out major surgery in September 2020 which, in one stroke, solved all the issues caused by the radiation damage and completely eliminated the associated pain. The fact that I made a very quick recovery from the major surgery and have had no after-effects at all is a testament to Mr. Ockrim's high level of professional expertise and skill. I consider myself very lucky to have been introduced to LUS, whose support services have been excellent throughout, and to Mr. Ockrim, whose intervention has for me been nothing short of life-changing. They have my unequivocal recommendation and lasting thanks.

Extremely please with the outcome of my vesicovaginal fistula surgery by urologist specialist Mr J Ockrim. On meeting Mr Ockrim he explained my problem, why it happened, treatment and the risks. He made me feel welcome and at ease even when he examined me. His expertise filled me with confidence and I was eager to pursue surgery as soon as possible. He arranged tests the same day to confirm and find the location of my fistula. Eight days later I had my complex surgery which went well and the care was superb! I have just had my twelve-week post op consultation and all is great. I am back to being me! Have my quality of life back and I can’t thank Mr Ockrim enough. Thank you!
