I can’t thank Millway Medical Practice enough for looking after myself and my whole family. It doesn’t matter how busy they get, somehow they ALWAYS manage to see you/speak to you and sort whatever it is you need in a super speedy no fuss way. All the Drs, nurses and whole back and front of house team are polite, helpful, efficient and ALWAYS get the job done. I have been very impressed with the practice. On two separate occasions lately, the receptionists and the GP attended to my needs very efficiently and quickly. I am especially grateful for the help I received last week during an acute migraine attack - I was able to get my medication from the pharmacy within 20 minutes of calling the surgery. I have been a patient at the practice for many years and have always received an exemplary level of care. I have no direct experience of other GPs as a comparator. I have given the practice 5 stars but have a very small reservation. During the pandemic the online capability of both the practice and the NHS has increased hugely and is now extremely comprehensive. I appreciate there is as an interface between the practice and the wider NHS systems but am uncertain where this lies. Starting from the practice web address for log in I am sometimes left unclear as to where the online forms take me and how successfully I have navigated the system. Bottom line: Would I recommend the practice? Yes I do.

I write this review after an astonishingly difficult year, not just for myself but my partner Paul. The first class attention given by Dr Shelly, Lisa Mcay, Nikesh Patel and pretty much all the wonderful staff of Millway Medical Centre. At a time when covid has had a huge impact on how protocols have change drastically, Millway have risen to the challenge of not just providing excellent care…they have gone above and beyond. This has been my family’s surgery for 23 years. The doctors and nurses are consistently great and caring. It is a really lovely friendly local practice. Sometimes reception can seem a bit heavy handed, but they have a tough job to do I’m sure.

As a family we can’t thank the entire staff of the surgery enough for all the support they have provided and continue to provide. Dr. Keval Patel has really been a blessing for my parents. Always happy with the surgery as a whole, but so happy they've opened up as a vaccination centre. Smoothest run yet! No queue, no delay, actual doctors working outside on a Sunday in the freezing cold to make sure we were well looked after and could ask questions. So lucky to have our NHS. I love the online eConsult, very helpful Doctors and very fast response time. I would definitely chose eConsult over making face to face appointments. It is quicker, safer in these Covid times and for patients with spinal injuries like me that struggle to stand or sit down in waiting areas and reception it means no extra pain and aniexty. I have been a patient at Millway Practice for about 10 years and during that time they have provided medical support to our family of five, from childhood vaccinations to more complex issues. Dr Lewis recently provided an outstanding service both before and after an operation; she phoned at regular intervals to check how I was and gave useful advice, together with the opportunity to discuss any concerns I had. These calls continued for a number of weeks and were much appreciated - I felt very well looked after. Praise too for Nurse Ekene Taylor, who has treated me over the years. She stands out as a kind and consistent nurse, dispensing sensible advice and reassurance. Many thanks for your support.

I received steroid injection from Dr N Patel today. It was a straightforward one as I was given all the information regarding the treatment. I understood what to expect but was reassured of the effect and side effect. He's very professional. The GP surgery continue to observe safe practice, implement social distancing, infection control and use things to clean hands and items used during consultation. My wife and I joined Millway when we moved to Mill Hill in 1997 and since then I can only say how wonderful Justin Peter and his entire team have been! They are always available if you keep on trying to contact them and their treatment of us all over the last 2 Pandemic years has been fantastic in organising out 3 jabs ! Of course the phone lines could be better (being No 30 in line is not a pleasant response !) but if you take the trouble to either go in person or use the E-consult web page you can always get through to one of their many doctors within 1-2 days. In addition I can also praise the nurses who have given me countless Blood tests in such a courteous manner (I personally am probably responsible for the National shortage of phials !) The staff at Millway Med Practice have been very helpful, they have always returned my calls and given prompt assistance with any prescription changes / issues etc. The doctors seem keen to help, are very friendly, seem to be thorough and offer clear and understandable explanations. Based upon my experience so far I cannot honestly say anything negative about this practice. Added note! Sincere thanks to Dr Kavel Patel for his excellent care, caring disposition, easily understood information and his general advice. Having had a medical problem with the slight potential to be something sinister I cannot praise him highly enough for promptly arranging the necessary tests & procedures and confirming the actual issue so quickly - all resolved! I've always had good service from this practice,however I recently tore ligaments in my knee and have been off my feet for nearly 8 weeks, I feel I've been dismissed and ignored .I'm 71 and in good health I had to demand an xray and I'm still in as much pain I have not been referred to an orthopedic surgeon . DR Hall always seems to be on holiday I was told by a very dismissive receptionist that I could not have a triage for at least five days. After being in agony and getting no help I've resorted to going privately. May I also say your reception needs to show a bit more compassion to people in pain as I was given a very offhand attitude.

I don't normally have a very good experience with my surgery as I always have to speak in a high tone (which is against my character) to try and get an appointment. But I must share my recent very good service received fro Dr Daniela Amasanti DeBono. I was going thro some serious problems with a condition and spoke to her a couple of days ago. Seeing that I was in no way capable of coming to the surgery she arrange for a Nurse to come out and see me. Nurse did various tests and said my GP would call back next day with blood results if.and cause of worry. Dr Amasanti called the following afternoon to say that I should go to A & E ASAP. After reaching there and not succeeding with any clearer diagnosis, they arranged for me to come back to Hospital for further tests on Sunday. In the meantime Dr called me in her lunch break (or whilst having her lunch) to check how I got on at hospital. After seeing that I didn't, and explaining to her that I was 100% sure it had something to do with my new medication. She quickly took it upon herself to check the side effects and said she too felt that I was right and so got on to the Hospital Gastro Registrar. After about an hour Registrar called to confirm that I should come off that medication asap. I am thankful to Dr Amasanti for bothering to call me back to check on me as no one else has bothered to do so before. Once you're referred to A & E, they wash their hands of their responsibility. Thank You Dr Amasanti.

I joined MW practice as a patient from 2003 and it's been a most professional place. I have but during Covid 19 the GP appointments have been disappointing. I visited Dr Patel on and off for two years. Suffering severe attacks of abdominal pain and tests at hospital results were negative. Been hospitalised twice with pain and untrasound blood tests negative. Now I'm aboraid and had another attack and ultrasound shows huge gallstones. Dissatisfied with GP care and hospital reports that did not pick this up.

I have been with the Millway since a child, starting off with the late great Dr.Eglinton who epitomised what a GP should be. Then our family was blessed to be assigned to the then newly young Dr.Peter. With the ever changing world due to Covid, it’s a different environment and each workplace tries to adapt accordingly. Yes it is frustrating when you can’t get to see your own GP and no I’m not too keen on the e-consult either, but in time we will get use to this system. Recently I have had wonderful assistance from the reception staff, who have been such a help to my elderly mother. We are always quick to criticise and complain about certain staff, and that’s why I think it’s important to also praise them. I’ve often stood waiting in the reception and shocked how rude some patients are towards the staff. Imagine if you were subjected to that on a daily basis through no fault of your own? A few kind words could really make someone’s day 😃

Literally one of the best practices I've been a member of. I know the NHS must be under a lot of pressure during this pandemic and I can understand that, a lot of things are not their fault and I haven't been registered long in this practice but the difference from other practices is extremely noticeable! from the registration process which was so straight forward, fast, painless, they connected me to all the online services I needed in a few hours, gave me an telephone appointment a day later with a GP who was very caring and detailed... I finally feel I'm on a recovery road, it has been hit and miss for months in other practices. It seems very organized, they really try to communicate between departments and what about the personalized recorded voice of a GP for all important announcements? I have several friends registered here and they all talk highly of this practice, now I will be doing that, please keep it up!

Booking an appointment online was comparatively straightforward. The form that has to be completed is very repetitive. Received a reply from Millway within a day and got a reply from a doctor on the same day. Service was very good. There are 3 options to obtain a service from the NHS; Patient View, NHS app and Millway website. The synchronisation between the 3 is flakey at best. Needs work.

They are oversubscribed but that is not a fault of the surgery, more a symptom of underfunding of the entire system. I have a complex, long term health condition and I’ve always had great experience with the GP’s and nurses here. We must not take FREE/Subsidised healthcare for granted..... what would be Great about Britain without the NHS.

Please note with most reviews that are lower rated, the frustration is coming from service of reception staff. Personally have had no issues but what I think it's more important for me is the service from the doctor's who are really great! With two little ones, I have had no problems being seen and have found the doctor's greatly sympathetic when needed and direct and action orientated when needed.

Doctors are friendly and good. Reception staff are a little snappy. Premises are always clean and waiting times at the centre are not too long, 5-10 minutes. However, phone service is terrible. especially, when calling to receive results of a test. Waited for 1 hour and 38 minutes to be put through. I was 8th in the queue, 6 went in the space of 5 minutes and the other 2 before me took 1 hour and 33 minutes!!! When I managed to be put through, they didn't even apologize for the wait, when I asked her to wait for "one moment" she huffed and puffed as if I had just put her on hold for 1 hour and 38 minutes! My whole phone call took only about 2 minutes.
