67 year old male. Progressive hip pain, could not ski for two seasons. Full left hip replacement - anterior procedure - by Dr Riviere at SWLEOC Epsom in March 2019. Zero pain from day 1 (OK - I had pain relief) ; back in spinning classes end of April week 5 and aqua beginning of May week 6 - admittedly gently at first. Climbed York Minster 275 steps in July week 16 (photo view from the top). Aqua instructor course August week 20 (back right of photo). Great job. Just need to get my balance back for skiing March 2020. Life changing. Many thanks Dr Riviere.

50 year old who recently had hip resurfacing surgery at SWLEOC in Epsom and received outstanding pre and post operative care from Mr Riviere and his team. The nurses, doctors, physios and domestic staff were all great and had me home the day after my op. Now 2 months after surgery and pain free and feel ready to resume all sports. Can't thank Mr Riviere enough. Hope you win the 6 nations!

I seen Charles for my pre op consultation and from the moment we met he made me feel relaxed and at ease. His attention to detail was fantastic.Operation for a Hip Resurfacing went as smooth as silk. All staff connected to Charles and at the Lister Hospital were amazing.I was treated better here than I have been in some 4-5 star hotels. I am most grateful to Dr Charles Riviera for the skill and detail used on my knee replacement. The initial cut was not pretty but done to perfection on September 4th 2017. Look at the photo's of my knee now exactly 1 year later. Hardly a scar and most importantly I can walk and live a normal life, Hike's are not a problem. Thank you once again Charles you gave me more than a new knee, you gave me a new life.

Dr Rivière has changed my life. I’m a 44yr old mother of 3 very small children, and I needed a double simultaneous AMIS hip replacement, I struck it lucky and I got to see Dr Rivière at the Epsom SWLEOC centre. From the outset Dr Rivière, listened to everything I wanted to tell him and he asked lots of questions, and I felt confident he understood my whole situation. He explained how there’s lots of different approaches to hip replacements, and he was committed to finding the best solution for me. Which he absolutely has done. He recommended I had both hips replaced at the same time, I gladly agreed as I didn’t have a good hip to recover on. I was a little nervous as I did my google homework, that there wasn’t much information on double AMIS replacements, however I shouldn’t of worried as this was absolutely the best way to do it. After the op the pain had gone. The debilitating ‘pinch’ had disappeared, such a fantastic feeling. I’m now 4 months post op, and I’m dashing around after the kids, going to the park, going for walks, doing the shopping, the housework .. without even thinking about it! 5 months ago, it was completely different. My scars, healed with no bother at all, no weeping, I didn’t need to change dressings, and as far as scars go, I’m very pleased with the straight clean lines I have. I would recommend Dr Rivière to my nearest and dearest without a second thought. He’s a true Gem. Thank you thank you thank you!

From we met he made me feel assured that he could resolve my problem. The surgeon Charles Rivera is an artist . It’s only been five days since my operation walking freely and my scar is virtually undetectable can’t believe it
