The surgery runs a good triage service which means you can always get an appt, or avoid one, whenever you need. Really excellent clinic, which also runs a lot of community wellness activities. All my local friends are happy they switched to this practise.

Recently moved to Hackney area and needed to move doctors. Registration was super quick and easy and got an appointment almost straight away. Dr Yaqoob was warm, friendly and very efficient. Took the time to understand my issue and made sure I was referred to the correct department as quickly as possible. Would definitely recommend!

Having recently needed my doctors (been registered since birth) desperately and not been able to get through, I decided to register with RRMC and within one day my registration had been completed, I had managed to book an appointment and speak with several members of staff about my issue. Fantastic Medical Centre! The reception team are all very friendly and so accommodating. So sad I don’t live near this practice anymore. Everything about the booking process is so seamless and easy and mostly online. I liked that you could speak to the doctor on the same day or within 24 hrs and not book in advance - I wish all GP surgeries were like this. Prescriptions easy to get and order online. Referrals fast. GP’s were helpful. Reception provided a typically ‘NHS’ service.
I think all GP surgeries should be modelled after this one.

The BEST service. I had the worst infection, contacted Dr Mehta who instantly gave me a home remedy and prescribed medicine. So helpful and efficient. Honestly the best GP practice in all of England. Recommend to any and everyone. 🙏

Updated: After my previous review, I received a phone call from the GP, and everything was finally solved over the phone. The staffer who I spoke with was very kind and helpful, which is the service I expected when I tried to register unsuccessfully the first 4 times.
Original review: I've been trying to register for about a month, but unfortunately I couldn't. I made my first application online, and made the other application as a form in the reception. I had 2 missed calls from them, I called them back and they said we didn't call you either, went again today, I couldn't register there, and they said that I had to do it again on the online and these 4 times I talked to 4 different people and I did not register. it's very annoying because I saw all good reviews!! I thought was a good GP but unfortunately they couldn't even make a register.

This is such a great practice. They have been really fast at rolling out the vaccine to everybody, they offer fitness and meditation classes, and all the staff I've spoken to have been so friendly, helpful, and listened to all my questions and concerns. I can't recommend them enough.

I have not experienced anything but great help from this practice. Love the app and how easy it is to update prescriptions. Once when I needed urgent help, the GP got me referred and on medication within an hour. I have been a patient at this GP for 4 years and I am only leaving because I am moving from London. Wish I could take the practice with me:)

I will leave the below comment, in case anyone else has a similar problem (or just a problem in general). Their response after the below review was extremely prompt and I am very happy with the manner they dealt with my issue.
People are amazed at the efficiency of this practice... I am amazed the practice is operating.
I had one doctor appointment and it was absolutely fine, no worries there.
My issue is with the main desk admins/staff... I recently joined, and, as I am in a crisis, I desperately needed an appointment. The main desk put me in their system with a different name, different contact number and it took me 3 calls for them to see there is something wrong. Maybe reading is not their strongest point...and I am the foreign one.
Following the appointment with the doctor I got a note which I needed for my job, which, of course, it has the wrong name, thanks to the front desk. When I called to remedy this, they said they will have the doctor rewrite it. I am still waiting for it... and of course, it is affecting my health because I am the stresed one.
Throughout all of this, there was no apology, not even a "soz". So thank you again for the formidable service, you are probably more likely to reply to this than actually fix my records.

Look I've only ever had a good experience at this docs. However, my partner just spoke to a doctor in relation to her long Covid symptoms, particularly concerning distorted taste and smell. She was told quite abruptly there was nothing they could do with zero empathy. I appreciate there might fatigue in the medical world at the moment, it's been a long year. But currently *everything* my partner tastes and smells tastes of either burning flesh, rotten fruit, fuel or nothing at all. It's knocked her for six and took a lot for me to push her to call her GP, if not to explore treatment but perhaps for mental health support. They effectively said there was nothing to be done which might be true in direct treatment for lack of smell but is certainly not true for knock on side effects. Why was there no recommendation for smell training? Why hasn't a therapist session been set up or suggested?
Try a little empathy next time.
Update: Dr Gopal phoned immediately to speak with my girlfriend and offer some support. Made the world of difference already to feel like someone understands her and that her feelings are valid.

The staff are excellent, understanding of your needs, and the online bookings and phone consultation booking system are excellent. I’ve always been able to speak to a doctor within 24-hours - can’t recommend enough!

Recently changed GPs to Richmond Road as we moved into the area. I was hesitant at first, because of the online reviews, but a friend recommended them.
I am so happy I picked them. Light years better, in every respect, than my previous GP clinic.
The reception staff are very polite, I always get through on the phone with minimal waiting, I'm always called back within an hour, often patched through immediately to the GP if he's available. The waiting room is large and pleasant. The GPs have always been very polite, courteous, and don't treat you like a problem, but like a patient. The patient care alone makes you feel better, and reassured.
I would definitely recommend them.

I wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone. I registered with them in September (now we're in December) and I haven't see the Doctor even once! Even though I'm an ex-cancer patient and had a surgery in London which required aftercare from the clinic (they just ignored it). Test results are very delayed and they don't let you know when the results are out (you have to call every day). I gave them all my medical files which they never looked at so you have to remind them about your case. If something is wrong with you and you don't know about it then you're in trouble because they depend on you to give them the diagnosis. Only thing is the receptionists and nurses are nice but horrible system!
Edit - After the above incident Dr. Mehta has been able to turn the relationship around, by simply being caring enough to remember my medical history and being proactive in his advice. Finally someone that cared until I moved houses. After living in the UK for so long now I realise that that the system issue is a common denominator across a lot of NHS facilities unfortunately. You have to be your own doctor and chase the GPs and doctors to get anything done. Nothing preventative, only save you if you're in deep deep deep trouble. Sad.
Hope someone sees this and tries to find some solution to this. I'd rather pay a bit more and increase my chances to staying alive than pay less and only be saved on my death bed. Just saying.

UPDATE: I had a lovely doctor call me briefly after this review was posted (sorry for forgetting the name, I am bad with names). I talked through my issues and he was very helpful with rebooking my blood tests. In the end I got all my referrals and my blood tests and my appointments and I am grateful for that. For the sake of full transparency, I am leaving the (slightly amended) original review but wanted to post an update because they have helped me out and that is still saying more than a lot of other places.
And the doctor I have spoken to was absolutely fantastic: efficient, understanding and kind.
I wanted my review to reflect that and be fair on both sides.

I had to follow up three times to get my mental health referral sent through. All they need to do is send and email and, still, I had to follow up three times. Why not make a depressed person have to ask for help over and over and over? I mean, as everyone knows, us depressed people are great at asking for help. And we LOVE having to do it over and over again. Our go-getter attitude is exactly what us depressed folk are known for.
I also had to have a blood check, because being 25 and having hot flashes isn't normal so maybe worth investigations. Great.
So the GP forwards me to reception who offers me a booking for Friday at 10:30, which I took. Today (Wednesday) I get a reminder for my Thursday appointment. I called to say that is wrong and they say "oh, well, there's nothing available tomorrow" trying to initially place the blame on me. When I insisted and explained, they brushed it off as 'she probably made a mistake' and then informed me that the next available date is in TWO WEEKS. Well, how about when it comes to people's health we try not to make mistakes? Booking a blood test isn't exactly complicated and people have jobs and commitments that they need to plan around.

I recently had an awful ear pain and called my previous GP surgery who told me they had a wait time of 2 weeks for the next GP appointment. My friend told me to visit Richmond Road as she was always seen quickly by her doctor. So I walked in and told the reception staff about my ear, they registered me right away and I was seen within 30 minutes by a GP. Amazed! Thank you!!

I feel for the person 4 days ago whi complained about Dc Metha,
I also complained after being ignored for months whist going through abuse and a breakdown.I was tired of hearing how " stressed" the gps sending emails ...
The inevitable happen i had a breakdown yesterday and called the surgery whilst under the influence of self meditating what I was forced to do because of the state of my head .
He just called me to ban me from the surgery, it was the longest time he had spent on me .The pleasure in hes voice as he was talking about " his surgery " and how my behaviour would not be tolerated any more was unreal he loved every minute of telling me .and I told him so
People have breakdowns fact ,I had one after months of calling explaining I think im going mad this just happened in a shop etc please help me .they did nothing but say they were tired of chasing people up .Im NHS mental health the obvious step would gave been to complain but Dc Metha gets real excited even when a higher than himself person calls him back at all ,and refuses to push because of his reputation.
so instead leaves people like me to the point of total breakdown isolated in a Tower block then calls to say im banned and he won't be changing his decision ( didn't ask him to ) he just enjoyed saying it .
so here i am suicidal and going through abuse in a pandemic at Christmas
For anyone else who relates to this please contact your mp and keep complaining ,nobody should be spoken to the way he speaks to people, he makes so many mistakes with care himself and takes no responsibility.
Its not HIS surgery thats just his power trip way of talking down to people.
Keep complaining take it further and make him take responsibility.
