As a woman of color, it has always been hard to find products in my shade. Babs worked with me to find the perfect colors to make the hyperpigmentation on my legs disappear. She gave me easy to follow instructions to follow once I got home to duplicate the look. It has truly helped my self-esteem. I can wear shorts, dress and skirts again. My dermatologist recommended I see Babs Forman as my vitiligo had become active again, causing noticeable white patches on my face. At the consultation Babs chose a suitable camouflage cream, and showed me how to apply it, using brushes and powder. My consultation with Babs was wonderful. She was so patient and understanding. She quickly found the correct concealers to fade away my severe under eye darkness, something I have been very self conscious about for many years. She also guided me with a much needed makeup lesson too. I am so delighted with the results and her personalised follow up notes give me confidence to apply the concealer myself. I went to see Babs recently as I wanted to be able to wear an elegant dress for a special occasion and hoped she would be able to show me how to disguise some scars on my leg. I was a little nervous about meeting Babs but she was warm and welcoming and I need not have worried. Babs did a wonderful job of covering up my scars and then showed me how to use the camouflage make up myself. She then ordered the make up for me and emailled me written instructions (to refer to later) as well as providing info on which brushes to use, make up removal, cleaning the brushes etc. I am delighted with the results and grateful to Babs. I was very impressed with my consultation, Babs was very professional and made me feel comfortable. I was a bit nervous beforehand as I do not normally wear makeup and wanted a ‘natural look’. I had a great experience with Babs, she was very nice and I felt comfortable from the very first approach on the phone. The following make-up session was very effective, I have a melasma on my face and could not really solve it in any other way, so I went to Babs as the last option. Well, her camouflage covers all my dark spots, it lasts the whole day and is not too thick. Babs was very nice before, during and after our meeting, always ready to help. Babs is fantastic! She makes you feel comfortable and welcome during the consultation and is great at explaining how to apply the camouflage yourself. I was really surprised at how long the make up stayed on (intact)....even under jeans! Babs’ expertise in this field is excellent and I would highly recommend her!

Had my consultation with Babs for makeup to conceal surgical scars and I have to say, I am very happy with the results. You can hardly tell that there were any scars previously. Amazing service ! Babs taught my 2 bridesmaids the method of tattoo cover up which I used for my wedding with excellent results. She took the time to colour match me properly to make sure everything blended well. Instructions were simple and easy to remember and the products were of excellent quality and lasted all night until the next day! Having attempted to cover a facial birthmark with high ends products for the majority of my 52 years with no great effect . I had a one hour meeting with Babs and with no exaggeration my world has been transformed . I met with her 48 hours before a family holiday - she showed me what works , skin matched and how to apply it myself . An unlikely ask that the products could be ordered and arrive before I left - but they did with time to spare . I cannot recommend her highly enough - aside from hiding my birthmark I got some great makeup tips included !

Amazing!! I have dark pigmentation in the centre of my face after trauma, which I've been really insecure about as people stare at it. It will eventually fade, but it'll take a long time. Babs did a fantastic job at hiding it. She really took her time working with different products to make sure that I have a great result, and made sure that I was happy with it. She also took her time to teach me how to do it, and make sure that I knew how to before I left. She's really personable and a breath of fresh air! I definitely recommend! I had tried skin camoflauge quite a few years ago but always had problems with matching the colour.I made th appointment with Babs to hopefully find a new product that would match my skin colour and would be easier to apply. I managed to find a new product which was easier to apply and a better match. I think its hard to find a perfect match and finish so best to not expect perfection but find something close enough. Babs was great - very easy to get on made you feel very comfortable whislt trying out the different products. Just to manage expectations, I would add that each indiviual is different so the camoflage process is more of trial and error before getting to the result.

On the 18th September I went for a makeup consultation and It went better than expected. Being a man it can be difficult to wear makeup because we don't want it to be noticeable. Babs tried various different products on me until we found the correct shade that would not be noticeable. It seemed to cover up my facial rednesss fairly well. This was fantastic! I have a number of self harm scars on my arm and I don't want them to be visible for my wedding. I've tried most of the treatments out there but nothing has worked. Absolutely fantastic trip to see Babs at Skin Confident. The name is apt, as I felt that the products she recommended for me will definately give me that confidence that I haven't felt in a long time. I have very bad, dark scaring and hyperpigmentation on my legs left by a skin condition called Pruigo nodularis and haven't gone out with my legs bare for years. But I feel that this is possible for me now. She has a selection of products to suit all skin shades and they are easy to apply. The session was a bit on the pricey side, but I have no regrets and would reccomended this service to anyone. Lovely lady too and she really looked after me!
