Great response from the Reception team in getting my query about receiving the 4th booster jab sorted out. After an initial email, Reception team passed on my query to my GP, who clarified the referral process for me in a personal text message. This was followed-up by a phone call from Reception personnel, to ensure I had received the message and there were no outstanding queries. Couldn't have been better served by the whole practice. I would highly recommend joining and have had a great experience so far. When no other practice in the area would assist me, they stepped in without hesitation. The staff are helpful and above all; welcoming. Receptionists and the doctors are so friendly and respectful and who ever lives in this catchment are very lucky indeed! A gem of a place.

My family and I registered here when we moved to Muswell Hill in 2019. I have been really impressed with them. Even during the pandemic I have been able to get appointments quickly and everyone I have dealt with has been helpful and professional. I feel very lucky to be registered with this practice.

Been here twice. Dark haired reception person was very rude because i didnt know where to go and wait. As well on phone appoinment wasnt great either, the doctor didnt seem to believe me when i told them i was in pain, then for when i needed a letter i got told a price then when i was going to collect it it was more than what i was told. But i did have one great phone appointment regarding medication, so thank you for that.

Am staggered by the negative reviews as I have always had excellent service and support from the practice. Doctors are thoughtful and expert - quite honestly I think its a good thing when on a rare occasion they have cross checked something because it shows me they know what they know and what they don't so I feel more confident. I think the nurses are also excellent eg I have had lots of problems with smear tests elsewhere but MHP nurses always pain free, Reception staff do a difficult job well - when I was there last week a receptionist was very patient with a rather confused elderly gentleman to make sure his issues were resolved. No surgery is perfect but in these difficult times when so much is unfairly being said about general practice I hope this practice realises how much they are valued by their community.

In the past couple of months my husband Brian and I have needed rather more medical help than previously (creeping old age!) but very recently had cause to be overwhelmingly grateful to Dr. Lam and Joyce for their quick and outstanding response to Brian's rapidly deteriorating condition following a chest infection. So this is a big shout out of thanks particularly to them! During the pandemic we have been thankful that we've both been able to have face-to-face consultations with a GP at the Muswell Hill Practice if we've needed it, although there were widespread reports of people in other places being unable to do so. Thank you to everyone at the practice for going the extra mile, including Dr. Narges Mohmand who arranged for a prescription to be sent to the nearest pharmacy in Dorset when we were away from home for a few days, even telling me what the pharmacy opening hours were!

Fantastic practice I came in to give in a blood pressure reading as I had not popped in for a long time glad I did it was dangerously high and it's thanks to the lovely Joyce that got me seen by Dr Cambanus these staff work under great pressure they are not magicians they are just trying to do their job as best they can under very difficult circumstances

I was astonished to see such rude and unpleasant reviews for this practice. You can't always please everyone but of course the vast majority of us who are delighted would never bother to fill out a review! So here I am! I feel so deeply fortunate that my family have been registered at this practice since we moved to area in 2007. The care my husband and 3 kids have all received has been truly excellent. There was a particular receptionist that I found to be unhelpful and rude but they no longer seem to work there. It was such a pity as the rest of the team have been excellent and Joyce in particular has been a wonderfully helpful and caring first point of contact over the years. We've seen almost all the GPs there over the years and they have each been exemplary. GP practices are under immense pressure to meet the needs of the patients at a time when the NHS is at breaking point and workloads and stress are ever increasing. I think we all need to be mindful of this when its tricky to get appointments or receptionists are overloaded etc. I think the practice is doing great job negotiating the demand and implementing new strategies for ensuring those who need to be seen do get appointments. I have always been able to speak to a Dr and be seen the same day if it is necessary. The online e-consult is a fantastic introduction and we have made use of this during lockdown.

This is the best doctors surgery I have ever used. Nothing is too much trouble and they go above and beyond. I have had a couple of issues with reception over the years when trying to get an appointment,but they are just doing their job and they also really go through it as some people who come in are very demanding and rude. I will try to remain with this surgery always as I dont think there is a better one. Lovely doctors, Joyce is a darling and they are the most efficient professional doctors I have ever dealt with.

I've found the reception staff to be extremely warm and helpful when I've called to register, and book appointments. My doctor was understanding and took my concerns seriously over phone consultations, ordering relevant tests. I've also had a very positive interaction with a nurse appointment - friendly, informative, and professional.

The best practice. Very, very good Doctors. The best advice and service. I always get an appointment the same day as I call. It's strange to see bad reviews here. I've been at a patient at this practice for well over 15 years and have never had a poor experience.

Joyce is good but the practice needs to update its systems. It takes 2 weeks for notes to be filtered after seeing a specialist , someone has to deal with report / notes before notes are passed to my GP. It should be done immediately.

I have been a patient at this practice for over 20 years.I have always found the doctors to be efficient and considerate and I have never felt rushed. Many people are complaining that they have to wait - well that's better than the doctor rushing a patient because he has to keep to a tight deadline. Others complain about the reception staff, who are all doing their best given the pressure they are under. Look up the other reviews given by those who have given the practice one star and you will see they are mostly chronic complainers, who don't have a good word to say about any service they use; school, hairdresser, dentist, restaurants etc.......Best to just ignore them.

We moved here 4 years ago and I feel very lucky to be registered with this surgery. Dr koumettou has been absolutely wonderful and the care I have received has been thorough and thoughtful. Previously I saw Dr Amanda Sutton and she was equally caring. Appointments are in demand but I have followed reception advice (when to call etc) and have always managed to get something. This is a wonderful Practice.

Best practice I have ever been registered with. Really helpful reception, always been able to get an appointment and great GP’s and practice nurses who are so helpful. Couldn’t believe it when I got a call from Dr Cambanis within an hour of having an ultrasound scan at the Whittington Hospital to discuss the results. Had to change my GP because they were just too bad. Done lots of research (LOTS), gathered all the nearby GP's checked all their reviews, list of doctors, their experience, reputation and so on, then visited the different GPs made sure they had parking, ease of access etc etc, then called them all to check which had the best reception service. On all counts Dukes Avenue was best by a long shot, then I booked myself in for an appointment; I've been struggling with the same problems for years, no doctor has been able to help me yet except for a lady GP at Dukes who spent maybe 2 minutes looking at me and she was very accurately able to pinpoint the major problems and the causes and I'm now on a good treatment plan that would not have been possible had I not been at this surgery. I should go on too much because our surgery would get crammed and they wouldn't be able to service the whole of the UK but they really are the best and I'm so happy to be their patient.

I had a cervical smear with Nurse Marina Jones and it was easy quick and comfortable. No Pain. I didn't even notice it was being done! She puts you at your ease!

I remember the days you just rang up and requested an appointment. What's going on? I've been with this surgery for 20 years and I only visit if I really have to.

Very good practice. Been with them for over 12 years. Booking advance appointments that fit in around work can often mean a few weeks wait, but there are appointments released on the day for those that need it, and telephone consultations. No complaints.

My family have been patients at this practice for over 30 years. We moved out of the area, by about 4 miles, recently. The practice agreed to keep us on as out of area patients. I have type 2 diabetes and have found the specialist care I receive for this condition to be excellent. This was one of the reasons I wanted to stay with the practice. Lovely practice, let down by a grim waiting room with aging magazines, and tired looking consulting spaces. Lack of visual contact with receptionist enhances that feeling that you've been forgotten. Reminiscent of a 1970's surgery- matches the decor and building...

It’s very difficult to get through when trying to book an appointment. I think they could make better use of technology such as with a phone app to book appointments. Having said that the doctors are great.

A really rather fantastic surgery with some of the best GPs going. They can be a bit facist regarding catchment areas but I suppose they have to be considering they are massively over subscribed. Joyce on reception is amazing too (although her grumpy colleague whose name escapes me obviously needs a hug).
