Dont need an urgent appointment so thought I'd use engage consult. Tried at 6.50am yesterday and it said closed try after 7am. Fair enough. Tried at 7.10am and it said closed. Clicked button below to see what time I could do an engage consult and it says closed. Just tried today at 5pm to see it says due to staff shortages it is closed for the foreseeable future! Looks like I need to find a spare hour or so to hang on the phone. Just dreadful@

I don't attend the practice unless it's absolutely necessary, unlike other groupies. It's very difficult to get through by phone, because they are very busy obviously. I have never been longer than about 20 minutes holding on. Always usually pleasant staff, who get stressed out frequently. By rude demanding patients usually.

Fantastic little practice. As a new patient, taken ill suddenly, nothing was too much trouble. The asthma specialist nurse was called and an immediate appointment was made. Thank you for all your help from the gorgeous reception staff - both shifts -and the nurse who assessed and arranged an immediate hospital appointment. You were all superb and yes, I'm still here to tell the tale! Just a very big thank you.

I called in this morning hoping to get an appointment with a practice nurse as soon as possible. A doctor called me back and arranged for me to see a nurse around mid morning. After consulting with another practice nurse I was asked to return this afternoon for treatment. I duly returned and the issue with my blocked ear was sorted very quickly and efficiently by the nurse. Both nurses showed complete empathy and understanding of my problem and I felt in good hands on both visits. It's a wonderful surgery.

I have recently had an appointment at the surgery and found the Dr to be most helpful and welcoming. We moved here five and a half years ago and I was very reluctant to register with a GP here as my last practice was very hard to beat. I feel that the care both for myself and my husband has been of a very high standard. The receptionists have been helpful and accommodating. Working in the NHS myself I really do appreciate how difficult it is to provide us all with the service we expect. It is most important to be polite and to show you are listening, something I have always felt this surgery achieves.

Overall I have had very few issues with this practice. Easy to get through on the phone or speak to someone in person. The triaging system works well which means my family and I have always been able to get an appointment on the day if needed.

Excellent service, prompt access to docs on call back. Disagree about front desk team - very helpful, but people need to recognise that once they have sufficient info for the call back service, theres lots more patients wanting help so no need to stay on the phone. When.you hear about some surgeries in the county, this one stands out from the crowd. Only inconvenience is having to go to NGH for blood tests but it does actually give you more choice of going to suit yourself & results come back quicker.

I had to, on Christmas Eve of all days, get urgent medical supplies for my father who was in pain. The service of the staff, given the time of year, was really good and although they were short staffed, they did really well and as were the Pharmacy staff, who were really busy. Between Christmas and New Year we had to use this service again and despite the time of year and that some of the staff were on annual leave, we could not fault the service.

I have been well cared for over 37 years and have found all staff to be efficient helpful and friendly. I am however concerned about the high turnover in newly qualified Doctors and their abilities in diagnosing potentially serious health matters. It is understandable therefore that patients are requesting appointments with permanent experienced Doctors. Consequently a waiting list can arise for an appointment with a Doctor of your choice. There is also only one Doctor to my knowledge who is experienced in heart related matters. May I respectfully suggest that junior transient Doctors positions be reduced to perhaps 2 at any one time, this would enable patients with long standing ailments to build up a relationship with resident GP's.

Having moved house a few times, I can appreciate that the problems with getting through on the phone are the same everywhere. The care of the staff when once you’re in is excellent and professional and that’s what matters. It’s rare to wait more than 24hrs for an appointment.

I have been with this medical practice for 10-11 years. I have found the overall treatment quite good except when it comes to mental health. I have been told that i have to 'actually have something wrong with me to be singed off work' when i suffer from depression and have done for many years. If you are looking for a doctors and do suffer from a mental health problem i would strongly advise to stay well clear of these doctors as I feel they do not take mental health seriously!

Phone line useless and 2 hours closure every day for lunch can't be right surely? Time to upgrade please. When you can actually speak to someone though they're generally helpful and appts are quick

The staff are always polite and professional even if clearly over worked and under funded, however I have often found it difficult to get in contact via telephone, lines are closed between 12.00 and 2.00pm and are often engaged during office hours
