I have visited several times Victoria Health Centre, to be treated by my GP. I have always received optimal care. Their support during the pandemic was remarkable. Special thanks to Dr. Elias and Dr Wheeler who have treated me with real empathy and honest care. The nurses of the centre have always been caring and professional.
NHS should be proud and reward accordingly medical teams like this! Sometimes "thank you" it's not enough to express the gratitude of a citizen to a public health centre.

Visited there today 24/08 to have a copper coil fitted. They ran a little later then my appointment time by about 10 minutes but once in Anne was great with the consultation before the procedure & during the fitting. Pete assisted and was also really professional. Both put me at ease and were efficient with the appointment from start to finish. Would recommend if you are considering have the coil fitted. I was refered by my GP.

Just went to have my contraceptive implant out (July 2022) and I was so impressed with the service. I had my doubts about going due to the high number of bad reviews and low star rating but my local GP had quoted a 10 week wait to have the implant out so I thought I’d try the health clinic as it’s 2 years overdue to come out.
My initial call to book an appointment was answered within 30s and they gave me an appointment for 5 days later. They registered me quickly and easily over the phone - the man on the phone was very friendly, and I received a follow up phone call with a nice nurse only 2 hours later to confirm and ask questions about my health.
The clinic was easy to find, they followed covid procedures well and the nurse even called me as I was signing in to confirm I was on my way. The receptionist was also friendly. They saw me earlier than my appointment as I was ten mins early and they were very prompt and punctual.
The nurse was so kind and helpful. She called the doctor to check my outstanding medication was compatible with the local anaesthetic which only took a few mins, and they are both very understanding and professional. The nurse walked me through the whole procedure before starting and explained everything clearly and thoroughly, made polite small talk to distract me during the procedure and made sure I didn’t feel any pain or discomfort during. She also offered more anaesthetic if I needed it. Her instructions in regards to aftercare of the procedure were also helpful.
10/10 recommend going here, especially if your GP has a long wait time. I can’t speak for other people’s experiences but mine was great.
Thank you Nottingham NHS doctors, nurses and receptionists for the great experience, and in particular the staff who helped me!

My personal experience has been great been going there a year and a half.
However once 18 you need to make an appointment or you'll be turned away when it's walk ins
Trying to make an appointment is literally so unhelpful the lady that answer the phone first time said she can't make an appointment because she's not a nurse told me me call back tomorrow at 9 am and I might get a chance to have a call with the nurse. I've been on hold for 15 minutes which felt like an hour. I'm unable to go to the walk ins because I'm 18 but also because I have work so it's difgivult to me to get there.
However the ladies that give you the contraceptive treatment are a delight to be around they make you feel comfortable well the people that I have had anyway and one of my friends had a very uncomftable experience with ome of the ladies xx however in my experience so far I haven't experienced that just the appointment telephone call thing frustrated me abit but it was me overreacting not the ladies fault xx

Normally have no problems with this place but am not happy with how my day went today. Had an appointment for an implant removal and got to the clinic and realised the lift was broke so called for help as I have a baby in a pushchair. Got told to leave pushchair in the doctors waiting room and carry my baby up and I asked how would would work as I'm having an implant removal and the lady assured me it would be fine and there are health care assistants who can help. So i waited for a while to be told by the doctor that they can not do it as I have the baby and I mentioned that the lady said it would be fine and they said no. So I've waited for no reason, left work early for an appointment for no reason, had to pay for parking for no reason. Re-booked my appointment to be told not to bring my baby with me next time ... so now got to suffer for another month with the problem that I have. So I am not happy at all and think they really need to communicate better.

Had a couple of hiccups regarding appointments etc, 1 before the first lock down and a couple during lock down.. Professionally sorted in the end though! Not completely their fault regarding lock down circumstances but still a little annoying as it took nearly a year before I got seen. On the other hand, very professional and got me sorted toward the end. So friendly and welcoming. And great at putting people at ease no matter what.
If lock down wasnt a thing, I know it would of been 100% regardless.
May sound contradicting regarding the review but thank you to all the staff there, you all are doing an amazing job regardless the current situation that we are all in 😊

I've been a patient here for over 18 years. Very caring doctors, especially Dr Elias. I had a blood test last year and nearly fainted afterwards: I hadn't eaten anything that morning, so my blood pressure had dropped very low. The lovely nurse and Dr Elias were very helpful, didn't let me leave the centre until I been given a biscuit to eat and my blood pressure back to normal.
Dr Baig identified my fibromyalgia, referring me to the Rheumatology department at QMC. This city centre surgery works extremely hard, they have a massive number of patients. Can't praise the NHS and this health centre highly enough.

I went there to have my arm scanned, I was interrupted several times, I tried to explain that my old implants were smaller than the one I have now, I was contradicted and told that wasn't possible. I know full well my previous ones were smaller because firstly, I had to collect the implant from the chemist, secondly the Dr showed me the implant when I first had one put in, thirdly I watched her put the implants in... last but not least I know they were smaller because it didn't hurt when the Dr put one in.
I understand that you are just looking out for my best interest, I will go for an xray to make sure it didn't break even know I'm pretty sure it didn't, I was always checking the implant because it caused me pain in the area it was inserted in, that is the other reason I know that the older ones were smaller.
Please in future when you get a person that has anxiety, listen to them, don't interrupt or contradict them, I was already feeling unwell when I came to the appointment, you also made me lay down when I told you I couldn't, that also caused me some problems and then when I sat up I had no help even though I said something and then I was expected to just hop off the bed as soon as I sat up..
The reason I gave 3 stars rather than 2 or 1 is because you were just trying to make sure that I don't have any further issues due to a broken implant. I also couldn't understand the main Dr, sorry, I didn't get much of what she said sadly.

The care received at the Victoria Health Center has always been the best. All the staff who work there do so with a true sense of care for the patient.

Dr N Phillips is the best Dr I have seen at this place, he diagnosed my asthma straight away, when the other doctors I saw missed it completely. As for the staff some are lovely and others need to be more professional or look for other jobs.

I've been a patient at this practice for s long time.
I have a great relationship with Dr Nightingale who has a way of putting me at ease and supporting me with numerous physical and mental health issues.

They said they don't give out private stuff but was willing to send a letter to my house about my issue and when my dad was there at home and he's not meant to know!

Was a bit alarmed by the negative reviews, but needn't have worried. I was seen promptly and the staff were efficient, friendly and patient throughout.
