I was looking to book an appointment with the doctor to discuss an issue. Whilst on the website I found a section where you could advise what your symptoms are and put your personal details in. I then got a text to say I would be contacted within 48hours. I got a text the same morning to say I had a telephone consultation the next day. The doctor called as arranged, knew the issues what I wanted to discuss. The doctor was understanding and assuring. The doctor also booked me a blood test whilst I was on the phone. I found this new system very reliable, efficient and helpful. No sitting in a phone queue for ages and speaking to a receptionist regarding my issues. Don’t get me wrong the receptionist do a good job but sometimes not easy to discuss personal concerns with them. So writing it down at a time to suit my own schedule was very helpful. Thank you Boroughbury.

Friendly staff and doctors, a modern, well furnished surgery if you do get a face to face appointment and plenty of parking and cycle racks. I'm truly grateful for the help from Boroughbury I have received in these trying times. It may still be difficult to get an appointment quickly but that is no fault of the surgery.

This year I’ve leant on Boroughbury quite a few times most recently for an issue with my eye. My personal experience of the practice and it’s staff has been outstanding. I know that the patient list numbers around 30,000. It’s a busy practice. There is usually a few minutes wait until your call is answered indicating that patient demand is high. The staff always call back on the day and you are assessed and treated over the phone or invited to surgery in person. The Drs at Boroughbury are attentive and always listen and discuss your concern without rushing. When I needed exploratory stomach checks last Winter they arranged what was required very swiftly. My overall experience of Boroughbury and City Hospital has been outstanding.

Wow!!!! How things have changed.....for the better. Amazed how quickly a Dr called me back after speaking to a receptionist . I was soon given an appointment later that same morning. And once seen by a Dr, who took blood for testing, a prescription to my pharmacist. Was dreading going through the hassle of making an appointment, and really regretting putting it off, at my cost. Thank you so much Boroughbury surgery.... Someone new must be in charge.

Just would like to share my experience. After moving from Surrey to Peterborough, i was not sure about this medical center but i would like to appreciate all the staff at the Boroughbury medical center. From the doctors , nurses and Receptionists , they all are so polite and qualified. Extermely helpful in every manner. Would love to stay with this Surgery. 😊👍

Just had a call from my doctor at Boroughbury Medical Practice, 12noon Saturday to discuss x-rays taken yesterday, 4th March. Saw doctor initially on 16th February. So 17days from first consultation to discussion with doctor on way forward. Let’s stop knocking GP practices and NHS and give credit where it’s due, especially the Boroughbury, who we have been with since coming to Peterborough in 1968 with great service. Put yourself in their shoes, they’ve had to deal with a “pandemic” in addition to all the other calls on their time. Well done Boroughbury👍

Just recently moved to the area and registered here because of previous reviews. Can honestly say I've been very impressed so far. They're so quick, everyone is really friendly, the doctors are all really lovely and calming. The online system is very easy to use and their website is very informative. Very easy to book an appointment as well. Honestly, very happy with this doctors surgery.

A New Patient Messaging Service from the NHS to access your GP. Are you fed up when you telephone your G P listening to a recorded message saying "you are above 30 in queue" then have to listen to piped music for ages. Take advantage of the new NHS Patient Messaging Service to leave a message for your GP. You can add photos if needed. The Practice will get back to you in 2-3 days You don't have to be computer savvy. It's as easy as sending a text on your mobile or a Facebook Post. In these difficult Covid times GP's are doing their best to keep in contact with their patients. The Back Office Staff at this Practice are very helpful and can often sort out your queries. We need to be more flexible as well. I can get a blood test the next day arranged by my GP if I am prepared to go to a Walk In Centre and not insist on attending the Surgery.

Absolutely fantastic service provided by staff at the centre even in these difficult coronavirus times... received a call back after contacting the appointments line, explained a number of issues and was offered a double booking in order to run through and investigate my concerns in good time. I was offered and received a full health check alongside dealing with the issues raised and all in extremely professional, knowledgeable and caring fashion. Blood test results were received back within less than 48hrs and provided via a telephone call. Great service by great staff, thank you.

TLDR: Staff are great - booking system isn't. Previously, I had struggled with the booking system and gave a one star review. I wasn't able to work out how to book an appointment and calling and being on hold for a long time just doesn't work for me with my job. However, this week I again tried the online booking system - there was still an error - each time I clicked to select an appointment the system told me the appointment had just been booked and was therefore unavailable - it did this with each of the timeslots I clicked on- despite this and somewhat surprisingly the next day I received call from the GP and got an appointment for the same day. Once at the clinic the staff and GP were exemplary, their service was totally professional, and I was very pleased with the visit - so pleased I subsequently felt guilty for leaving a one star review.

Been with Boroughbury medical Centre from the beginning, I have never had a problem to get an appointment or be seen. Yes sometimes the call waiting times are a bit long but I have always managed to still get through and be seen or at least spoken with a doctor. Overall it’s a great service and doctors there are great. Dr Tariq big thanks especially for my sons referral goes above and beyond to help you with whatever your problem or concerns are very happy with this doctors surgery.

I got referred here through 111. They were very polite and helpful. The Dr even spotted a haital hernia was my source of pain and Peterborough City hospital didnt even tell me that after my endoscopy. Thank you so much for believing my pain and helping me when no one else could

The only negative is that, quite often, the waiting time for phones to be answered is too long, and the 'press options' for getting through to the correct dept, are often confusing. Older people using the phones struggle to understand the phone system (as I work with older clients myself and they have told me). The GPs and nursing staff are thorough and professional and I have almost always had excellent treatment here. Similarly with the clerical staff/receptionists. Overall a good surgery.

This is by far the best surgery in Peterborough, i don’t understand some of the negative comments on here. It is obvious being such a big surgery there will be times that you will need to wait longer than usual to get through to reception. Whenever I have had a medical issue the Doctors and other staff have been so helpful, a special mention to Dr. Remedios who is a wonderful Doctor who listens to you with so much respect and sincerity, nothing is too big for him to conduct and he is always willing to listen.

The service here is excellent. I've recently had a series of blood tests and they were followed up by the practice really quickly with texts and phone calls. They are always trying to improve the patient service. I have complex medical issues and they have looked after me superbly.

Best Surgery i joined since arriving in Peterborough...although things are done a lil differently and you will not see a Doc asap the system they have and all the clinicians paramedics and specialists they have onboard you can be dealt with pretty much asap BUT you do need to call 1st thing and wait 30 to 45 mins...i tend to join CB queue it works and you generally get dealt with. At times ive called ad hoc and got seen in Day by luck...during Pandemic they have been brilliant always open i have been in a few times cannot fault em...have to say I love my Surgery on the whole despite a few times the prescription was lost lol ❤

Oh what a refreshing change. After a horrendous time over the last year, we decided to apply to Boroughbury. Thankfully we were accepted and I can only give praise to all who work there. Friendly & helpful reception, excellent treatment with Nurse, and GP. I have been kept informed at all stages and when phone call arrangements are made they are spot on. Always asked if there is anything else they can do. WOW I'm not used to this. Maybe another couple of Disabled Parking spaces would be handy, but I am definitely not complaining. Brilliant, Well done to all at BMC Peterborough.

I have been a patient at Boroughbury since it opened, prior to that was registered at North street since the 1980’s. I can honestly say that the treatment I have always received has been first class, timely and appropriate. Back in 2012 after a routine blood test showed an anomaly, I was immediately referred to a consultant and was found to have an aggressive form of prostate cancer which if left untreated would have been fatal. Since the opening of the new facility in Craig street the range of services and treatments offered on site has increased. Most recently I was treated for trigger finger by an injection into the finger within a few days my functions were back to normal. Well done Boroughbury.

I have always found the staff at Boroughbury Medical Centre to be patient, helpful and considerate. This is true of both the clinical and administrative staff and whenever I have had a problem the secretaries et al have been at pains to sort it out. The nurses and doctors I have had dealings with have always shown a desire to achieve excellence in their practice. I always feel cared for, taken into account, and kept well-informed. Attended today to get the covid vaccine. It’s not my usual surgery. I was impressed with how it was so efficient, with clear guidance and explanations. Melissa was friendly and checked me in. Rob went through the medical questions and explained the side effects and what I needed to do in certain circumstances like if I became ill afterwards. Rob had Charlea in the room too and they both put me at ease because I’m not great with needles! I didn’t feel a thing and left the room thinking was I even jabbed, that’s how easy it was and how well they distracted me! Afterwards I was given an egg timer so I could wait in the post-jab room for the recommended 15 minutes in case I had a reaction. Nicole stayed with the patients in the room, talking to us and answering any questions. I found her to be lovely and friendly in manner. The whole process maintained social distancing protocol - hand gel was provided and sanitisation of chairs after people left happened straight away. It was really professional how this vaccination program was run. Seriously, this team is amazing. Thank you!

I received a letter to book an appointment with the diabetic team & was advised to book by using the automated telephone service , the letter included a pin number to use . No option is available on the automated telephone service to do so & it is not possible to book the appointment on either my NHS App or Doctor Link App so the only option left is to wait on the phone for endless minutes to speak to a human being .

Had a flu vaccine this morning it was incredibly very very easy and well organised, only 30 seconds to do it! I would prefer to have it done on a mobile service rather than going to pharmacist so so efficient as long as you pre booked yourself first . Good job !!

Had a drive-in flu jab at the football. Incredibly easy and efficient. Drove straight in for a pre-booked appointment. Only took a few minutes in total. I hope they continue a drive through option in further years
