Absolutely fantastic. I have suffered from a bad back and headaches for a long time. I was recommended to try acupuncture and I found this lovely family run clinic. I have noticed such a difference in my back pain and my headaches have gone. I do attain once a week now for maintenance. I always look forward to my appointment.

Year long severe life changing hip and lower back pain, which made me immobile on the verge of considering a wheelchair. Conventional doctors all had different guesses as to what was wrong with me, from arthritis to MS, all requiring high levels of cartilage and tissue destroying pain killers and eventually surgery. I knew they were wrong. I had used this Clinic when I used to live in Plymouth with excellent results. On recently visiting Plymouth again, Meilan kindly oversaw my emergency treatment, which involved intensive acupuncture, traditional and electro, plus heat and cupping and diagnosed me with sciatica and herniated discs. Within an hour of treatment, the pain and discomfort had practically all but gone, apart from some pain in the thigh where no electro acupuncture was conducted. I only wish I stilled lived only a drive away from this clinic, as I would continue my treatment and maintenance with them. These are the best acupuncturists in the South West, in my opinion.

Meilan is the acupuncturist I've been working with- and she has made this experience such a great one! my headaches has lessened and my back is as good as new. I have to say that both Ding and his wife have really helped me. I originally came in with really bad stomach issues, the symptoms I had with my stomach have now all gone thanks to Ding professional help. I was suffering with migraines for some years, I could often have them as frequent as 2-3 per month. Since starting Accupuncture with Meilan I’ve not had any, So I’ve been nearly 8 months migraine free!! Only a migraine sufferer would understand the relief of that! I also used to get cluster headaches daily and these are now far and few between. I did a course of treatment initially, I now have one a month. I couldn’t recommend enough.

I was recommended to Meilan Shen 2 years ago for my frozen shoulder . I hadn't slept well for 3 months as the pain was indescribable. My job as a hairdresser was extremely difficult and was sceptical at first but after 1 treatment I got a full nights sleep and the pain was reduced by half . I had 6 treatments and just before my forth treatment I was hit whist driving my car at traffic lights and had whip lash. Meilan also treated this and within 3 weeks I had full movement with no pain . I have recommended many of my clients to this clinic who have all received great results .

I've been to acupuncturists for over 20 years in many different countries but I haven't found one who is able to fix problems so quickly. I've had a strained hip that had been getting worse for 6 months now. After one session Mailan reduced pain by 50%! It will require ongoing treatment but I can't express what a relief it is to have to less pain. I've also had constant water retention in my legs and ankle forever, again à few treatments with Mailan and I can actually now see my ankle bone! Sleeping has been an issue and after yesterday's treatment I slept a straight 7 hours! Mailan is Good! I can't recommend this sweet lady more. Worth every single penny. I'm going to her for Fertility treatment too so watch this space! I could regret going when I've got screaming twins on my hip! Lol Suzanne P Downderry
