G. R.I am trying for past hour to reschedule and appointment. I have waited in a que of 10 ppl and when my turn came they put phone down. Please hire more people and offer the services you ment to offer. Thank you
D. S.We must all write as we find. Expectations vary. Perhaps some are just too high. We are so lucky in this country to have a publicly funded medical service free to all in time of need. In most countries people are not so lucky. They would be delighted to get our level of service.
The Herald has regularly carried letters complaining of the service provided by their GPs. That has not been my experience. Now very nearly 80 I was almost a stranger to the surgery until the last 4 years. That has changed and I am now becoming a regular for a variety of medical issues. The consequences of getting old!
I have received excellent service. I have requested urgent appointments on a few occasions, always explaining the reasons for urgency. All my requests have met with a very speedy response. That has included face to face meetings with Drs or nurses or urgent phone calls as appropriate.
The only problem has been delays when trying to phone, but at least we are now told where we are in the queue, so we can decide whether to hold on or try later.
K. N.I used to be a patient here and the staff looked after me very well. I came here for mainly pill and meds reviews. I did not like Dr Lloyd as he encouraged me to have the contraceptive implant which I didn't feel comfortable with so I declined it. He asked about other service users in the care home of mine which I refused to tell him about.
I liked the nurses however one nearly prescribed Penicillin (which I am allergic to) as it didn't flag up on their computer.
I liked my named GP (Dr E R Arkle) and she would gossip about one of her patients in particular (as that patient was one of my carers at my care home) even though she was not meant to.
I like the back entrance and my carers would ask if I could use that entrance as it would be quieter for me.
When I missed the last flu clinic for 2014 in 2014, I was offered an appointment but when I got there, I could not go in so the HCA happily came out to the car and administered my flu jab there.
They let me wait in the care provider's company car instead of the waiting room which is easier for me
O. S.Can't fault the surgery, always amazing service. Never had a problem getting an appointment or receiving advice, always receive help by lovely doctors. Reception have always been pleasant also. Econsult is great. Brilliant surgery, am very lucky to be a patient!
J. K.I have often found the appointment wait time can be up to an hour. However all the Doctors are very supportive and the appropriate amount of time given regardless of time restrictions, so I never mind the wait. Personally I have always received the very best treatment and respect by all Drs, nurses and receptionists. I can't praise the surgery enough. The systems work well and I highly recommend this surgery to anyone. I often visit the different GP surgeries though working in the community and none come close the the sevice at Roborough. I have also used Roborough surgery through work and and my client always receives the best care. I can't speak highly enough and I am truly grateful for the high standard care given as at times I have had a few different health issues and no matter who I see the service is always of a high standard, this is partly due to the receptionists understanding. Thank you Roborough Surgery.

M.I've been a patient here since I was born; and it's not an exaggeration to say that Dr Bredermeyer saved my life once. While NHS cuts have noticeably impacted the wait-times, it is absolutely not the practice's fault and all doctors and staff work as hard as possible to lessen this impact - while remaining kind, courteous and dedicated. You couldn't possibly ask for more - at least not under this government.
I. T.Roborough Surgery is a good place to go if you are not well. They send the prescription up to Tesco for you to collect for tablets.
