I’ve recently returned from hospital after being hit by a car and badly breaking my leg, and the process of registering was simple and quick (sorted within a week) and I’ve never known a GP practice where you can just call and get through immediately - to the *most pleasant* helpful reception team! I called asking for a prescription (first phone appointment), and while I was still on the phone to the receptionist Dr Martin was already calling me! He arranged my prescription with no issues compared to my last practice and we had a nice chat (regarding my condition) aswell. Really happy I read the reviews where the low star ratings seemed to be things the practice can’t help or don’t have as services. Keep up the great work :)

I was with dr Kumar at bold st.he was amazing. Loved my children. Always came when needed.Dr whittenburg is just as professional in his job.always helped me.rang back when asked. Receptionists are really good and helpful. Katie the nurse is lovely nothing is a problem to her as same with the DR

I just searched for their number and I had to leave a review cause I couldn't believe it's rating! It's the first GPs I've felt comfortable with and I'm never afraid to have an appointment. The Dr is always super helpful and lovely and the nurse was so patient with me when I popped in with an issue. I couldn't ask for better. I've been some bad doctors and these have never disappointed.

Not sure where the negative reviews have come from, but my wife and I have used this surgery for the past few years and they have been amazing. We have always got an appointment when needed and first class care even during the pandemic. Dr Whitenberg has been the most understanding doctor we've ever had and Katie the nurse and the other girls are also brilliant and very helpful. I would 100% recommend this surgery.

I have just read a review on here against G.P Mr Martin Whittenburgh and cannot believe the lady is talking about the same G.P. I was first registered at Bold st (20yrs+) where Dr Whittenburgh took over from Dr kumar I must say he brought the surgery upto date especially when we moved premises to Cockhedge medical centre. On a personal note I have found Dr Whittenburgh to be a proffesional G.p and is one that you can talk to over various problems.I enjoy the fact the he also has a great sense of humour which to be honest does give you that feel good factor. To know that he knows my family he can understand some of the problems which are a family complaint. I have serious medical problems and some not so Dr Whittenburgh will listen however with the state of the country and the staff aren't immune from this.I've never had a problem during this pandemic to ring up and book a telephone consultation with one of the receptionists understanding that it will have to be the next day due to the amount of patients.I've never missed that call before surgery off himself. I'm going now but I would like to say I certainly hope to have many more years at Cockhedge with Dr Whittenburgh, the receptionists, katie the nurse practioner may you all stay safe and well you all make one hell of a doctors surgery. much appreciated Dawn Taylor.

This has been my doctors for over 10 years now and they have always been so lovely, caring & understanding with me as a Mental Health patient, they always make me feel comfortable if I’m ever there 😚

Not many GP practices around where you phone 8am and get same morning appointments, I've been with this practice since Dr Whitenburgh took over Dr Kumar at Bold Street many years ago and have only been unhappy once which was resolved very quickly. Dr Whitenburgh is a great GP no nonsense type character and the staff are always sound with me. Some of these reviews are hideous and it seems people only leave a review when they're not happy.

Very shocked about the people filling positions as doctors and nurses as well There was a time where doctors would ask you alot of questions and offering possible solutions,now they just seat in their chair not even looking at you,they don’t even listen and they are trying to get you out of the office immediatly. I have stomach problems for over a year now and I have asked Dr Whitenburugh to help me go to a specialist,a private or something,he said he can’t do that,he is not allowed to reccomand private hospitals/doctors.

I have just read the reviews on the surgery and wondered if those patients were talking about the same surgery as me the staff on reception are brilliant and so helpful and the nurse kate is so friendly and makes you feel so at ease and doctor wittenberg is in my opinion the best doctor in warrington and I never have a problem getting an appointment and for me is the best surgery in warring and I would like to thank each and everyone of the staff for taking care of me

Some of these reviews are shocking been a patient here for years since dr whitenburg took over bold street and Dr Kumar, the guys a outstanding doctor really does care... The reception staff are so lovely.. I can ring for myself or my kids at 8am and get in straight away.. Keep up the good work Dr whitenburg and team ❤️
