Reviews of Bridgewater Surgeries

I moved to Watford and registered to Bridgewater Surgeries since 2012, and my overall experience has been brilliant. Good availability of GP appointments both for routine and urgent, the practice really try hard to accommodate urgent appointment. During and after COVID, their hybrid approach of using phone and F2F appointments strike the right balance, sometime we just want a quick consultation, check test result and reassurance over the phone, and if the triaging doctor feel the need for F2F they provide it immediately. Well done and keep up the good work.

I moved to Watford 5 years ago and registered with the surgery and have had a good experience. Appointments have been accessible and have been seen and referred appropriately. The staff have been personable and thorough. Thank you for all your hard work

I have used more than 4 different surgeries in past 15 years. This is amazing. You get appointments very easy. They refer or do the tests if required. You will feel like you have a family doctor. Thank you.

Have always had an incredible experience, the staff are always very very helpful, especially since having my Son. Dr Gaj in particular was very professional and thorough, he gave me lots of piece of mind which is extremely welcomed after having my first baby. Annie was also so warm and encouraging whilst giving my son his vaccines, this is obviously an anxious time and the team were nothing but excellent. Kim has also been another regular friendly face, giving me my vaccines for years, she’s just brilliant. Thank you to all the staff at Bridgewater, I feel confident that my son will be in the best hands with care he will receive growing up.

In this day and age no surgery can be perfect but despite the government using the NHS and other services to line their own pockets Bridgewater is very, very good. A special mention must go to Dr Anne Andersen. She is mentioned by another review as being hard to deal with but nothing could be further from the truth. Dr Andersen is empathetic, helpful and exactly what you need as a doctor. She is able to see things others have missed - it probably saved my life once (Thanks Dr Andersen) - and also cares. Keep up the good work all at Bridgewater.

I have had a great experience with both clinical and administrative staff. It's nice to have a surgery with regular staff and consistent systems to help patients navigate. Despite the pressures on GPs and the NHS, I feel where possible continuity of care has been maintained and am thankful to Dr Hodes in particular for ensuring this. Urgent medical issues have always been appropriately addressed by the duty doctors and my family are truly thankful for this.

Where do i start? I joined park end surgery about 9 years ago it then merged with coach house. I have needed it more recently as my children had some complications which Dr Andersen picked up in the early stages. I am eternally greatful to her and the team which is now bridgewater surgery. Yes phone lines take long to answer yes appointments are difficult but you will always get a call from a doctor and if its something very urgent they will go out of their way to see you at the end of clinic. Dr Andersen especially has always called me after my children have been discharged from hospital to find out of everything is ok. I can't fault this practice. For all this who are not happy here please move to other surgeries but trust me you'll come straight back here. This is a hidden gem of Watford. Don't go by the negetive comments on this review page. Experience it for yourself.

I have been with the surgery for 7 years. Since reluctantly moving doctors surgery due to a house move from what I thought was an excellent surgery in Hillingdon to Bridgewater Surgery.
I have various ailments but have never once been disappointed in the service I have received at Bridgewater Surgery either at Printers Avenue or North Approach. I see Dr M.T most visits or he calls. But when I have seen others they are equally as caring and knowledgeable as each other. I can not fault my named GP for his amazing ‘bedside’ manner and obvious care towards my health. I feel so confident in telling him and any of the others drs anything. The nurses and HCA’s are equally amazing.
More recently having had emergency surgery followed but two severe allergic reactions I can not express my heart felt thanks to the surgery from the receptionist to the fitting me in and such caring reassurance from both Dr M.T and Dr R.T
My only negative would be the phone lines which can take sometimes up to an hour to get through to someone. There was a great booking online system in place pre-covid but that’s gone now which is a shame. You can also send an online consultation and they get back to you within 48 hours but normally within 24 hours.
Well done Bridgewater you are absolute diamonds 💎
