From my own perspective, I would add that his willingness to reply to emails and to make calls outside the formal consultation slot (and indeed out of office hours) is especially helpful to me, as we can move along the treatment/referrals without delay. People often go private because they are busy and it is a revelation to get medical attention that runs at my pace.
