I have just had the MOST amazing experience today having had my first training session with Jean and Bruce. I say my training session as my dog Nala is a natural but I’m the one who needs the help! What they don’t know about dogs and training could be written on the back of a stamp and I cannot tell you how grateful myself and Nala are. I once saw Ceaser Millan who had the Emmy-nominated television series the Dog Whisperer and is a New York Times best-selling author perform in Dublin but these two amazing, dog loving people are the UK equivalent! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your sincerity and incredible support. I wholeheartedly recommend Tegryn Dog Training 100%. We have had been going to Jeans dog training since May & already a huge difference in my 1 year old lab. Jean teaches the me aswell as my dog to ensure I’m calm, relaxed & confident with the handling & training of my dog, this makes it easier to continue to train at home between sessions. Jean & Bruce are very knowledgeable about any problems I have & give advice on diet & health also, their dogs definitely don’t disappoint when being used as an example. My dog loves going, already looking forward to the next session.

Having recently rehomed two dogs (2 year old litter sisters) who came with a long list of behavioral issues we knew that we would require assistance from a professional and luckily, we found Jean & Bruce!! From the very first lesson the improvement was noticeable and the advice and support that Jean has provided us has been invaluable. The lessons are held in an open secure area which gives us the confidence to be able work off lead. After several sessions the girls were even managing to walk close without a lead and they now have a recall!! As Jean has a such vast knowledge of dog behavior, she can explain to us why her training techniques work which has been a huge benefit to us. I am sure that without all the help from Jean we would not have overcome the “issues” that the girls arrived with. I would highly recommend Jean and cannot thank her enough for all she has done for us and more importantly our girls!

Jean is one amazing lady. I have 2 dogs - a Jack Russell & a pug cross Jack Russell. They were wild when I first went to Jean but a couple of sessions on they are different dogs thanks to Jean's vast experience and knowledge. She is amazing with the dogs and I love her honesty (and she is great fun). I have tried several dog trainers but Jean is the only one that's down to earth with the appropriate training methods that I have been looking for. I foster dogs and work for an animal rescue centre and have seen lots of dog obedience classes but the only one I would recommend for all the dogs I re-home is Jean !

Jean has a wonderful way with dogs firm and fair our two dogs love her as well as making training fun she encourages both dog and owner to be the 'best they can be' With two young and exuberant dogs Jean provides the help and training to keep them happy and under control . Her methods are kind and she has the knack of explaining what needs to be done and how to achieve it. Betsy has made has made great progress since we started seeing Jean. We wanted some help to get Betsy more confident (and controllable) when we were out and about particularly in her interactions with other dogs. She is now walking brilliantly on the lead and is listening and responding to voice commands. Jean's own dog, Sam, has been coming to part of our lessons and this has been brilliant to help with the road to socialisation. I'd highly recommend Jean who makes each lesson bespoke depending on your needs, and, the needs of your dog. As a bonus, Betsy absolutely loves her lessons with Jean.

Without a doubt we can highly recommend Jeans dog training services. We took our lively labrador puppy Wesley when he was about 8 months old, and were amazed by the results after only a few lessons. Jean works hard to ensure that not only the dog but the owners also take the lessons seriously in order to have the results required. Wesley has become a very obedient dog, who visibly thoroughly enjoys his lessons, and he and we alike have gained and learnt so much. Jean has a natural talent with dogs and knows how to get the best from the dog AND the OWNERS!!! Wesley started by being boisterous on the lead to now being brilliant off the lead and progressed to using dummies and working towards being a trained gun dog. Overall Jeans training has brought the best out of Wesley which far exceeded our expectations, and has now helped us decide on having another puppy who in a few months will be ready for lessons with Auntie Jean!!

Thank goodness we found Jean! She is an absolute star and has worked wonders with us as owners (no easy task!) and of course our Golden Retriever pup Arthur who is now six months old. We have been training with Jean for several months and Arthur has progressed in leaps and bounds. She is firm but fair and much beloved by Arthur. Jean was recommended to me from a friend of mine and i tell you what i will recommend her to anyone! I have an 8 1/2 month old GSD which i have been taking up to her classes since he was about 6 months on and off(only due to weather) and the improvements in him are fantastic, what i didn't realise is that the classes are aimed at training myself so the harder i work on the techniques that i am being taught the better my dogs becomes! Jean's training methods are great and she delivers them in a friendly but firm manner that will help anyone to better themselves when training their dogs. Jean was recommended to us by our local vets, what a blessing, her understanding of our boisterous puppy, Benji a Jack Russel / Bichon Frise has transformed his behavior. What a Find!!! Found Tegryn Dog Training via Google we have a 18 Month Gsp, Wanted to have more control over him and stop him pulling on the lead, After 1 lesson the lead problem was solved, Now working on Recoil etc.. Bruce and Jean are fantastic they are very professional and firm with the dogs, But at the same time they make the lesson fun and get everybody involved. Well what can i say about Jean? Her no nonsense approach to training is different to what others may teach. Her firm but understanding techniques really help both dog and owner to learn and to understand each other better. Training is hard work but Jean makes it fun too. As the first time owner of a giant breed dog i knew training was essential and i'm so glad i found Jean. Not only does Shadow learn but he enjoys and looks forward to spending time with his Aunty Jean! Over the past few months we have learnt so much and come such a long way, i can see the progress we have both made! WHAT A FIND Jean was recommended to me by a friend and what a blessing it has been to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to training my dog. I have a very energetic 14 month old working Cocker Spaniel who I took to puppy classes early on elsewhere but they were not able to teach me how to control her excessive energy and friendly enthusiasm and channel it in a positive way. Jean has given me hope that my very intelligent dog can be trained, with patience, to be calm and socially acceptable. Jean has an amazing empathy with dogs and my dog Willow eagerly responds to any challenge she sets her. I am thrilled to bits with her progress after just 10 sessions. I realise that it is my responsibility to listen and learn from Jean especially when it comes to my behaviour in being the pack leader .and not being a softie I can use my voice in a more impactful way now so that Willow knows what I mean and we can both enjoy a wonderful way of understanding one another clearly. I can't thank you enough Jean for all your patience and hard work. I have learned a lot as well as Willow and look forward to spending a happy life together. We have GSD (from a puppy) who was fairly obedient until we took on a 3 year old GSD cross rescue. Both strong dogs started to get the better of us. It was a pleasure to see Jean handle the two big dogs like they were chihuahuas! She soon had us working to achieve same results! Jean is a wonderful dog trainer, we have a rescue Westie whom Jean is turning into a lovely obedient dog. After just one lesson we noticed the difference in Cai's behaviour. We have great faith in her, it is amazing to see the rapport she has with any dog she comes into contact with - they just seem to know immediatley that she is the pack leader. I would have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending her. Jean is training us too and most of Cai's problems are that we had no idea how to handle him. Although very strict, Jean is great fun and we enjoy our sessions as much as Cai as we all learn together.

I can't thanks Jean enough for turning me and my dog Leo around. Leo is a beautiful lab and after being with me since a puppy I had managed to do all the wrong things and he had become quite an unmanageable teenager. Jean spotted the problem right away (me!) and has been very patient training me how to handle Leo. Jean clearly loves dogs and it's amazing to see how Leo responds to her firm but kind approach. I had got to the point of considering rehoming Leo which would have been very sad but all that is behind us now and we are developing a great bond. Thank you Jean for rescuing us!

After reaching the point of desperation with our 3 dogs' hooligan behaviour we found Jean and what a blessing that was! Jean explained why the dogs were so out-of-control and how to address the issue. On the very first lesson, she had all the dogs on her side and transformed them into 3 little charmers who love her to bits. We really couldn't believe what we were seeing! We realised just how cooperative and delightful our dogs could be when given the right 'lead'. We are now following Jean's advice and hoping some of her magic rubs off on us. A Nanny Mc Phee of pooches but FAR more beautiful inside and out, this is what you will find when you meet the irrepressible and totally impressive Jean- the patron Saint of Dogs! Needing guidance and support for our quirky schnoodle and enthusiastic cockapoo, we arranged a meeting with her to see if she could sort us out (all 4 of us!) and boy oh boy has she! The four of us fell in love with her immediately. She is intelligent and funny, firm and informative and an all round inspiration. What can I say that hasn't been said already? Sam was a six month old rescue pup. We needed help as he was anxious and confused, had no recall wouldn't walk on a lead and was generally unsure what to do (as were we). Jean showed us that we had to give firm love not the over exuberant praise that I was lavishing on him when he did something right. With her patience and guidance Sam is now an absolute pleasure to walk on his lead, His recall is excellent, and he is now a happy well adjusted dog. I can't recommend jean and her methods strongly enough. I can honestly say that if you have any issues with your dog and you need help this is where you need to go.

Husband fell in love with Seth the 1 year old lurcher who needed re-homing from a friend of a friend. We already had Charlie the 10 year old sheep dog. Together they spelt trouble. One behaved while other didn't and then they swapped roles, walking was all over the place and close to dislocation of the the shoulder. Seth dug my tidy and colourful garden over and uprooted abnoxious weeds called FLOWERS and then he would visit our bed for a lie down with still muddy paws. LIFE WAS BAD -THEN I FOUND JEAN - my saviour. She loves dogs, she likes people but prefers her people well behaved so that the dogs belonging to those people can follow suit. She makes sense and teaches you how to talk sternly to your dog and to modify your voice so that commands are neither squeaks that excite your dog nor detrimental shouts at your dog. Jean gets you on track to enjoying your dog and allowing your dog to enjoy you BUT as pack leader to the dog with the respect that role entails. My dogs enjoy our sessions, have improved in behaviour tremendously, they recognise that commands are to be followed and are doing really well with whistle commands now. We have come on leaps and bounds in just 10 lessons. I can honestly say I love my dogs and they love me BUT they love Jean too!

We have been visiting Jean now for 5 weeks and our lovely boy collie "Dylan 31/2" has become the dog we always wanted,Jean has a way of making training enjoyable for both dog and owner alike, Dylan is now part of the pack and now knows his place with in it,he has calmed down and is less stressed, which was not his fault, but mine, I would recommend anyone who has any issue with there dog to give Jean a try, as we have!!!, you will be amazed what can be done....we are!!!
