Rachael was brilliant with our Labrador pup-she gave me great advice and tips on the behaviour problems we were having and showed me how to encourage loose lead walking. She was also great at explaining some of the techniques and ideas to my children, which was really helpful.
She was so easy to have around and really encouraging and understanding. I would definitely recommend her if you’re struggling or worried about managing your dog. She’s really knowledgeable and our dog was literally eating out of her hand!!

So pleased that this lady was recommended to me. Due to pains in my legs I can't walk my husky like I want to. Rachel has made such a difference to my high energy furbaby. The photos and videos she sends make our day. I can't recommend this service enough 10/10. Her training is superb. Eli is a different dog since we engaged with "walk this way dogs ". Her advice and information helps all of us. Our dogs love her to bits and it's a joy to see them greet her upon her arrival.
If you need a trainer or a dog walking service, "walk this way dogs". Is just what you need.

Rachael is true expert in her field. We contacted Rachael shortly after we got our new shiba inu puppy, Finn, as we wanted to really give him the best start in life. Rachael came into our lives to initially help with training in general with things like walking, recall and “doggy listening skills” as well as some stranger and social anxiety - but she ended up doing so much more going above and beyond. What really stood out for us was Rachael’s commitment to us and Finn, not just to have a dog with “blind obedience” or where anxiety was just waited out, but for us to have a relationship built on trust and care and this was evident from the start. Rachael even used her own beautiful German Shepherd, Gypsy, as a doggy role model and confidence builder for our Puppy and it was a whole team effort from them both. We referred to Rachael as the dog whisperer because of her innate connection and patience but also because not once did she ever have to raise her voice - in fact she has talked to us about training Finn to respond to even just a whisper. Rachael didn’t come in and just work with Finn - we were all her clients and each visit she gave us the tools and skills to continue on the important work. We felt that our own capacity was built as dog parents after each visit and we saw our confidence grow as well as Finn’s. It wasn’t always easy but having Rachael there really made it feel that nothing was insurmountable. Rachael worked so hard with us on building trust that we have since, under her expert guidance, got Finn off leash with amazing recall and in fact he just trots after us when he feels we get too far away. We don’t know where we would be without Rachael and her CEO Gypsy the German Shepherd but we do know she came in and changed our lives. We can highly recommended Rachael and her positive and nurturing approach to her work to bring about such positive change. Rachael really does teach you to “walk this way” and it works! Thank you so much.

Contacted Rachael after one of my huskies appeared to have quite high anxiety around other dogs, whilst the other was overly friendly and sociable. I struggled to work with both issues at same time, which made walks very stressful and difficult.
Rachael came to my home and worked with both dogs. She found a technique that worked and walked with us and for some time giving me a glimpse of my dogs' full potential. Since then I have been consistently putting the training into practice and am seeing great results as my dogs have been extremely responsive. They literally ignore passing dogs... and cats! This has never happened before.
I am so grateful to Rachael and would highly recommend Walk This Way NI to anyone who needs assistance with behaviour/training! My dogs LOVED her instantly upon meeting her. She has made a huge difference to us... no more stress, no more pulling and much better behaviour! Happy all round!! Thankyou so much!!

Rachael is fantastic. She is such a natural with dogs and is a complete professional. We were having real issues getting our Labrador to get into the car and she worked with her calmly and at her pace to help her feel more confident. This has been completely life changing for us and our dog as we can now take her to the beach again! I would highly recommend Rachael to anyone and won’t hesitate to call her again if I need help.

We cannot recommend Rachael highly enough, she is excellent at what she does. She has made such a difference to our 2 dogs (German Shepherd and Bernese/Lab) who need a lot of exercise and stimulation. They both absolutely adore her and Rachael adores them too. Rachael is professional, incredibly reliable and trustworthy and is just lovely to work with. We have a very busy family life at the minute with 2 young kids as well as our 2 dogs and it is such a relief to know that our dogs are happy and tired at the end of the day. Rachael is great at keeping in touch and letting you know when she is arriving/leaving the dogs back and always sends us little pictures and videos of what the dogs have been up to that day, we always look forward to these!
Rachael adheres to all the current safety requirements and we have always felt very reassured by how thorough and meticulous she is.
If you are looking for someone to walk or train your dog, I don't think you'll find better than Rachael.

Rachael is currently working with our rescue Shih Tzu Alfie. Although extremely loving he is a very anxious and reactive dog who cannot get close to other dogs without his stress levels going through the roof, which has made walking him a very trying experience. We've had two sessions with Rachael so far and we are already seeing positive results! She gives sound practical advice focusing on Alfie's history and needs but also giving us as a family the confidence to practice on our own. Walks no longer consist of constant lead pulling and reactive barking. Thanks to Rachael he's made great progress, we still have alot to learn but now have a great teacher. Can't recommend her enough!

Every experience that we have had with Rachael has been fantastic. We originally met Rachael when one of our dogs developed anxiety after moving house and having a few too many changes all at once, that could not have been prevented. Rachael came and did sessions with Willow on a 1-1 basis, settling her and allowing her to return to her normal self. Rachael also did some training with our other dog Bear. We got bear when he was 7 months old and had developed many bad habits, as well as being very nervous. Rachael worked with Bear to increase his manners, ingrain good behaviours, and helped us to make bear feel confident and at ease with others, his environment and his new home. Rachael provided us with ‘homework’ which were training points to work on with both dogs between our training sessions with helped significantly, and allowed us aims to work towards. This meant we were visibly seeing differences in both dogs. Rachael is very supportive throughout the entire process, and is completely non-judgmental.
Both dogs reacted excellently to Racheal, and she treated them with patience, calmness and respect. We were so happy with how their training went that we have continued with Rachael as our dog walker. I would highly recommend for all of your dog training, dog behaviour and walking needs. I would 100% recommend Rachael and Walk this Way Dogs NI for all areas of dog training and walking needs. She is excellent.

I cannot recommend Walk This Way Dogs NI or Rachael highly enough. As a first time dog owner I thought I just had an unruly puppy but Rachael quickly showed me that I needed to be trained as much as Teddy did!
In just a few sessions my puppy was transformed from a nervous, frightened and very noisy pup who strangers avoided and I had to constantly apologise for to a happy, confident and quieter dog who socialises well with people and dogs we meet on walks.
Rachael has transformed Teddy’s quality of life, I don’t have to worry about taking him out in public and the whole neighbourhood has commented on how much better behaved he is!
Whether you are a first time fur baby owner like me or you just want to brush up on some obedience skills Walk This Way is for you. Rachael gave many really practical tips and training skills from getting Teddy to listen and respond, work for treats, walk well on and off the lead and how to relieve separation anxiety. Helpful play ideas have reduced boredom and destructive behaviour. I cannot express enough how much of a well behaved and confident dog Rachael has transformed Teddy into. Yes you will have to put the hard work in but the results are amazing. I only wish I hadn’t wasted so much time on dog training books and YouTube videos instead of going straight to Rachael when I got Teddy. Her insight into a dog's mind has helped me understand Teddy’s behaviour and now I can correct bad behaviour before it becomes a problem.
Sorry for the long review but I could go on for days about the benefits of Rachael’s services. Very reasonably priced, always reliable and quick to respond to texts, calls etc. I had a terrible experience with another dog trainer and was dubious about trying another but the results speak for themselves!
Thank you Rachael, from Alana and Teddy!

Racheal was fantastic from first consultation to the end. She gave us loads of tips to help us with our two dogs as we had just moved to Belfast and they needed help settling them in. We had one nervous dog and one very excited dog. With Racheal's help they have both settled down and just love sleeping and watching TV. I gave a list of the things that I wanted to sort out lol we got advise and tips on each one. It is amazing to see how changing tiny things can make a big difference
Anytime we need to ask a question she was happy to help.

We first bumped into Rachel a while back at the end of a walk with our puppy. When she met him that day her interaction with him was as if they had always been friends and he couldn't get enough of her. Recently we had been having some problems with a bit too much energy when walking on lead and general rowdy behaviour. So we got in touch and met up for some training sessions. She was attentive when watching how he was interacting on the walk, and we worked on a range of things to help him get his energy out in other ways, and not on me. He has been a joy running free off lead now, always paying attention, and listening to commands. Game changer!

We have an overexcited puppy that was struggling a lot with walking on the lead, especially when there were lots of distractions. After an hour with Walk This Way, we came away with lots of tips and tricks and since our dog is doing brilliantly. Thank you!
