After reading online reviews for Dapper Dogs teeth cleaning service I had high expectations - but honestly they were surpassed! I took my Tibetan Terrier along at the weekend - his teeth were brown around the base and I was worried the stains might be permanent and tooth decay might eventually set in. But just 20 minutes later the guys at Dapper Dogs had them sparkling white and clean. Just as importantly when I returned my dog was happy and relaxed and didn't seem at all bothered by the procedure. And all this for £15. I now have peace of mind and my doggy has a gleaming set of pearly whites. Highly recommended.

I came away from Dapper dogs in Saltdean today over the moon! I was concerned that my two older doggies may have needed a General anaesthetic for a descale at the vets but Ollie managed to get them beautifully clean while I waited! And at such a reasonable price. I felt reassured they would be well treated and of course they were, you can tell they really care. Ollie and John offer such a great range of stock in their shop aswell and will go that extra mile to help you. Highly recommended! :)

I can't recommend Dapper Dogs enough! I took my normally nervous boxer, Maya, for dental cleaning and they did a wonderful job removing almost all of the tartar on her teeth and she was calm as anything with them. So pleased with the result and I will definitely use them again!

Lexy is timid with strangers but needed her claws clipped urgently as she also has double dewclaws which can be a problem for her if they get too long. I was amazed that she went calmly into the groomers without me and returned in 5 minutes with everything done. Their kindness and confidence really helped her and although she's never going to be enthralled with the experience she was perfectly happy afterwards. Claws looked great too! Thank you.

The best groomers in the South in my opinion. I have an old, blind dog who has always hated being groomed until I bought him here. Their patience with him is just superb and he evens lets them clean his teeth which was unheard of. And they are always super friendly and helpful to us owners too. I have been using them every 6 weeks for the last 2 years, and I wouldn't ever use anyone else now - and my hour round trip drive to get to them when there are plenty of local groomers proves just how good they are! Highly recommend x

It’s not the first time and for sure not the last to take my dog for grooming to Dapper. My dog is being difficult when she is going to have her haircut. But never got a half job done with them ever. Absolutely brilliant service. Very friendly staff and excellent quality grooming. Jack, the Westie has been hand stripped there twice and both times he has come back looking very smart. The cut has grown in exceptionally also. Would definitely recommend them and go back even if we do now live the other side of town.

My response to the owners response.... . It was seven mins and no longer. I have no missed calls on my phone. I am a loyal customer of six years and have not let you down. On the one occasion I didn’t turn up it was because I had a completely different date in my diary which could have been your error not mine and I paid you for it anyway. I think you should know your customers and get to know that my dog is a regular and we always turn up. The problem is you don’t know your customers. We waited faithfully for nine weeks. This may have been for various reasons but it was the first time I could take the time off and you were free. I kept this date just to come to you despite being able to get in elsewhere sooner. To have not let us have ten minutes before filling our space was appalling. We all lead busy lives and your attitude was flippant and careless. I was shocked by your response to be honest but left quietly as didn’t know what to say to you. You did not offer me any alternatives like you have claimed here to ease the situation. You just said you filled the space because you couldn’t loose money but I would not have let you loose money. As a regular you should have been aware of my integrity. You do not know who your loyal customers are. You never offer recognition. It is only your groomer who recognises my dog. The way you have behaved today was just inconsiderate. You should warn people that you let the space go in under ten minutes. I would have been more than happy to have paid in advance. It is a poor way of operating. I lost a days work for nothing and my dog who has been waiting so long for a trim was sent away. You’ve lost a good and loyal customer. I find your remarks about you not being able to please every one patronising. I am very easy to please. I promise you I’m hard to upset. I just find your story hard to believe. The space was re allocated too quickly. I think in all probability you messed up with your bookings as you have done before and used my seven minutes late as an an excuse. The thing is if you’d been honest I probably would have been more understanding.. I have no complaints with the grooming. Nor is it my aim to spoil your excellent reputation and I don’t think my review will do anything to harm it. I just felt it important that you think before doing this again to your good customers and have more care and consideration especially to those who you know would pay for a missed appointment. A safer option would be to offer your customers the opportunity to pay in advance to safeguard their space. I would have been more than happy to do. I hope you learn from this experience and I wish you success for the future.

Brilliant little find. Very accomadating, good stock but can get lots in quickly. Delivers as well so good for large items. Did the dogs teeth at a very reasonable price with a good finish. No wonder the local vets are not happy. Well done lads keep it up

Used Dapper Dogs in Saltdean for the first time today. Had my dogs teeth cleaned the service they provided was fantastic my dogs teeth were so clean which I must say was a mission as 1 of my dogs is nervous and the other ones want to bite everyone so I was surprised at the professional way the technician handled them and kept all of them so relaxed which in turn helped me to relax I will definitely be using them again

John and Oli are fantastic with dogs, we use them whenever we are away for house sitting our 3 poodles and for all their grooming services as well as food, supplies and even our Christmas Tree! In short we have tried many other options but none are as good as Dapper Dogs.
