We have had a fantastic time with our Collie, Patch. He has throughly enjoyed his time learning new skills and we have learnt so much too.
I cannot reccomend enough how beneficial the classes have been and how amazing the tutor has been too. We cannot wait to progress further.

I got my rescue from Bulgaria over 5 years ago now. She's still timid but used to be very reactive too, and scared. My vet recommended Debbie to me and thank God she did. Debbie helped her get over her fear of strangers, especially school kids and men. She's now friendly and approaches strangers often. Now the fear has gone her curiosity has returned.
She also taught me how to teach my dog the basics and has advised me through the years when I've been stuck. I can't recommend Debbie highly enough.

Great business that has a wealth of experienced trainers. We have had consultations and meet ups in the last few years that have helped us understand lots about dog behaviour and signals.
We got in touch with Leigh about the online classes this year, to help with our overall training and I am so glad we did. The classes were great to do with our 3 year old dog and has helped build her confidence and ours. Leigh has continued to help us with training, and has always been at the end of the phone for our many questions! Friendly, knowledgable and will continue to recommend to anyone.

We have just got to the end of our third course with Leigh, and we are really looking forward to the next one, whatever that may be! The course is well paced, and Leigh is so knowledgeable and patient it's an absolute pleasure to attend the classes.
We have also worked on a 1 to 1 basis with Debbie, who is an absolute gem when it comes to behavioural issues.
I cannot reccomend Schooling 4 Dogs highly enough, whether it's the first puppy class or something more advanced you are looking for.

Over the past 9/10 years ive been fortunate to have worked with Debbie, & her team, with my two complicated Rescues. I attended a number group training & workshops (including Recall, Clicker & relaxation).
Debbie is incredibly generous with her time & knowledge. She has always been genuinely caring, empathetic and above all her priority was the well-being of my dogs - she helped me greatly!
I have recommended Schooling 4 Dogs to friends, clients & family with excellent results and Debbie successfully worked 1-2-1 with my elderly mother's reactive dog - mum adored Debbie, and they made excellent progress together.
If you're looking for training or behaviour support I highly recommend speaking to Schooling 4 Dogs.

We did a 1-2-1 session with Leigh from Schooling 4 dogs and the help and guidance he provided us with helped us so much with our new 3 month old puppy Gary! By the end of the session Gary was sitting and he gave us tips with his biting and games to play with him. We then started Level 1 puppy training classes with Leigh and enjoyed every single one of them! We have benefited so much from these classes and are booking on to Level 2 and can't wait to start! Thanks so much to Leigh at Schooling 4 Dogs for going above and beyond to help us with our boisterous little puppy!

We loved puppy classes as did our puppy Kevin! Such a friendly and relaxed training atmosphere using positive rewards.
Kevin made lots of friends and learnt so many good behaviours including general manners, happy lead walking and recall. He couldn’t wait to get into training when we arrived which is always a good sign.
Sandy is an excellent trainer with lots of knowledge and always a happy face offering all the support she could for any issue we were facing.
We can’t wait to progress on to middle school!
Would recommend to everyone!!
Thank you Schooling 4 Dogs and Sandy!

Fantastic puppy training classes - not only to learn a few tricks or the basics but a whole philosophy of how to train your puppy to be the best, happiest dog for life. I've just signed up for the follow-up "junior school" so that we get even more brilliant weekly classes, and can further both mine and the puppy's skills to have the most fun possible in our life together. Purely reward-based training which brings really enjoyable, stress-free results. Can't believe how easy it is to do all the right things when you know how. Thank you, Leigh!

Debbie is a great trainer and is always available at the end of the phone should i need her. I recommend her along with a few other trainers in the city because they do hold qualifications for training and behaviour work with dogs. I've seen some amazing turn arounds with dogs I've seen in a professional capacity. I myself have one of my dogs booked onto one of her workshops. Kind, caring and more importantly works force free and adapts training and behaviour techniques to suit the dog and the situation in front of her.

Leigh was our puppy trainer and went from nervous new owner to confident dog owner in 6 weeks. We still have some areas to improve but was a great introduction and useful insights and training handouts each week. Would thoroughly recommend and we are looking to take our next class soon. Class size was about right

Debbie is a brilliant trainer and always has the time to give great advice and support for my dog who suffers with fear aggression I have had one to one sessions with her and my dog loves her so much and he likes her to be near him when he is walking, Debbie brought a stooge dog to help support my dog to feel confident around other dogs.
She gave me great advice on things to do to de stress my dog after walks and to make him use his brain at home to make him calm and focused.
He is definitely less anxious around other dogs.
I would highly recommended Debbie 100%

Just finished Level 1 on zoom, and whilst initially I was unsure how it would work remotely, I was really impressed. It worked well for us as often Rocco was asleep, but that enabled us to listen more and then put into practice what we had learnt in our own time, love how Leigh explains everything in simple terms and from a dogs perspective, will be signing up for level 2 😀

We've just finished the Level 1 Puppy Class in Hove with trainer Leigh and we found the course excellent. It is fun, well organised, great location and we got very helpful handouts and videos. Also Leigh was at the end of the phone when we needed him for any problems. Highly recommended!!

We've just completed our Level 1 Puppy training course and what a difference it has made! Leigh and Apple have both given fantastic guidance in every lesson, meaning our puppy learnt a lot :) And although our puppy has come on leaps and bounds, so have we! Patience is key and we can see clearly how much it affects our puppy when we aren't working with him to get it right. I would highly recommend this service and we are just about to embark on Level 2! Thanks again Leigh and Apple! :)

Debbie and her team helped my 3 year old Boston Terrier with some nervous behaviour and becoming reactive on lead.
Debbie was fabulous from the minute we met her we learnt so much that helped to refocus Henry’s nervousness with clicker and positive reinforcement training.
6 months on and Henry’s has been great, he’s so much calmer and happier. Can’t thank Debbie enough she’s awesome. I wouldn’t hesitate using her or recommending her. She is so knowledgeable!

I first met Debbie around 5 years ago when my girl was getting a little out of hand. My girl is quite complicated due mainly to a nasty disease that causes her a lot of pain at times and which is on going.
Debbie is nothing short of amazing, her knowledge, dedication and support allowed me and my girl to keep going and basically obtain the best outcome for Jazz, which is as normal a life as is possible for a great big reactive GSD.
We have now done various workshops over the years including calmness and scent detection workshops all of which I have found invaluable, along with following our incredibly detailed behaviour plan.
I have recommended Debbie to several people now and watched with amazement the difference she makes.
You will not easily find someone that will put in so much time, effort and commitment to helping you and your dog. In my case I needed to understand life from my dogs perspective and my contribution to her anxieties and where they came from, in order to help her feel safe so she could settle down.
All in, I must repeat, amazing and incredibly knowledgeable woman, highly recommend her!!

A great class for puppies and, more importantly, new owners! Leigh was great and helping on a one to one level as well as teaching the small class. It also helped me to be disciplined with the training with weekly tasks. We are definitely taking up the level 2 class to keep the training up!

I cannot recommend Debbie and her team highly enough. I first met her when I attended my puppy training classes and since then I have been fortunate enough to benefit from her wisdom and compassion on numerous occasions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Schooling for Dogs and trust her judgement 100%.

Risky completed her puppy training with Leigh. We had fun “learning” how to train her and the classes were invaluable. We are definitely booking onto the next stage and we know Risky will enjoy herself as much as she did on the puppy course.

We have just completed our level 1 puppy class with Leigh and really enjoyed it. Leigh is really knowledgable and calm and helped us build our confidence with our new puppy.

This class taught us how to teach our puppy which was the most important learning. There were handouts to guide training at home. The teacher, Leigh, is very enthusiastic, open, helpful, and friendly. The class was a joy to attend, so much so that we are continuing on to the next class.

Our puppy has just graduated from puppy classes with School 4 Dogs in Crawley. Leigh and Apple, the trainers, were absolutely fab! Our puppy enjoyed the classes & has improved a lot. We would highly recommend School 4 Dogs classes.

Huge thanks to Sandy for helping us so much throughout lockdown with our little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Lady. From initially helping us with sleeping and crate training, to working on separation anxiety, recall, lead training and other bits and bobs, Sandy has been amazing and we’ve seen such an improvement in Lady. Not sure what we would have done without Sandy’s weekly zoom sessions. Thank you so much!

Debbie and her team have helped our rescue dog since we got him in late 2016. He had a tough start in life and over the last 2 years has gone through a myriad of problems revolving around anxiety and separation anxiety. Schooling 4 Dogs have been our rock throughout this time. They have helped and advised us on behaviour and training, and our dog could never be the dog he is today without that. He has made such progress and is a happier dog for it. Without them, I’m not sure what we would do!

We can't recommend Schooling 4 Dogs or Debbie more highly. Jas was a rescue from Greece and when she arrived she was incredibly nervous and struggled to cope with domestic life. After an initial session where Jas was assessed we received an indepth report and training advice to help us and her. We continued to receive support and advice in the form of further sessions and telephone/email advice. The support and advice we have received has been excellent and jas has come on leaps and bounds. The price we paid was excellent value for money and we really wouldnt be where we were today without Debbie.

I contacted Debbie to help me with my reactive dog. Debbie took me through a plan through kind scientifically proven methods. After this I decided to study dog training and Debbie helped mentor me. Debbie loves her dogs and always has their well-being in front of anything. I always recommend Debbie.

Debbie is fantastic. I have a dog reactive dog, Cleo, who I found difficult to walk in public spaces resorting to walking in fields where I knew no one would be. I knew this wasn't ideal, as it wasn't helping Cleo with this behaviour and made it even more difficult when we did come across other dogs. Debbie taught me BAT - she taught me to not only recognise Cleo's body language and different appeasement gestures but for me to be able to keep Cleo under threshold so she could be a stress free as possible - using positive training methods. I cannot thank Debbie enough for her help, as ever since I have been able to walk Cleo in public areas with peace of mind that I'd be able to manage her behaviour in an effective way to keep her stress free and other dogs unaffected. I also know that Debbie is at the other end of the phone should I need her expertise with this behaviour or any other behaviour/training advice I need and that she is always more than happy to help. It's great to know a trainer/behaviourist that I can 100% trust and value the advice given. Thank you so much Debbie :-)

Me and my first pooch have loved every class, from puppy to advanced, I have found it invaluable and the trainers are all extremely experienced and supportive. The pace of classes is perfect (or should I say pawfect), techniques are superb and easy to follow. Highly recommend this school.

I am not a client of Debbie's, I am a qualified and respected peer who has spent alot of time working with 'PTS' dogs and alot of time with Debbie.
I am agast that some people do not value the mental well being of an animal and cannot see that emotion and behaviour are linked.
Some physical behaviours expressed by dogs are indeed, of no intent or harm to humans, which, often means they are dismissed and animals are left to endure the expression of their mental state.
I am proud to call Debbie a friend and peer for the energy, expertise and effort she puts into her work.
I have no hesitation in recommending and referring to Debbie which I have done in the past and will continue to do in the future.

Those who have written 1 star reviews, have tthe smallest part of the information, which they have gleefully taken to forcing upon the internet with little thought of their actions for dogs and people moving forward.
Some folk would do well to apply their fingers to their genitalia rather than to a keyboard to apply a review, I expect they would enjoy the experience more also.
I am eagerly anticipating a review of my own abilities as a direct consequence of sharing my own personal recommendation of Schooling 4 Dogs.
Keep up the good work Debbie and team. Dogs need humans who can see behaviour for what it is to the animals, not just those who pay your fees.

Debbie is a super star. My little dog Meeko loves her. I rescued a Chinese created a few months ago, as you can imagine all rescues come with a little baggage. But Meeko’s baggage was getting me into trouble. He would rush up to other dogs when out walking and be a little less than friendly, put it that way. He also did not like to be touched by anyone he didn't know ( lots of people touch dogs even before asking ).
I was feeling a little stressed by the situation, Meeko was starting to worry me.
I have very good knowledge of dog behaviour but no matter what I tried, Meeko was still behaving in the same way.
So I called Debbie ... ( First meeting out on a walk )
Debbie took hold of the situation with in minutes of the first meeting with Meeko.
She took time to watch the little fellas behaviour, she guided me to respond efficiently to the behaviour before it happened.
Debbie then came to see Meeko at home, not only did she interact with my entire family but she calmly had Meeko doing everything she asked him to do.
She talked us through simple and understandable training that Meeko could follow.
Debbie has a presents when she’s with a dog!
It’s increadable to watch the way she is with them.
She has given Meeko a new chance at a happy life, he’s responded to all the advice she’s given us. I’m happy to say that we are in control of his behaviour.
We are 💯 happy with Debbie and recommend her regularly to anyone who wants an understanding and easy to get along with dog trainer.
Thank you Debbie for being so amazing ...

Debbie Peters is a first class behaviour and training professional. I met her at the fantastic clicker training course and my cheeky little staffy loves training. Debbie showed me modern techniques and thinking. Debbie puts dog and owners welfare above everything. It is rare to meet someone who lives by their principles in a world of spoilt idiots.

Lottie and I have just finished our Level 2 six week course with Leigh, It was great fun, Leigh is a great teacher and motivator and is passionate about what he does ,we have learnt so much and Lottie is a happier and more content dog for it. Thank you Leigh.

Tilly had a great time in Sandy's class in Kemptown, and we both learnt a lot. It was great to meet the other puppies in the class and I can't wait to continue our training.

Debbie has been amazing, helping me with Harvey since i have got him a few years ago with various issues. I wont recommend any other trainer.

The puppy classes were great; the perfect mix of basic obedience training, play and socialisation.
Very friendly and helpful service, would thoroughly recommend :)

Amazing support from Annika and Schooling 4 Dogs, on the puppy class and particularly our 121 session, as a first time dog owner her knowledge and help was excellent, thoroughly recommend, we learnt so much and my daughter could attend to, which built her confidence too

Very pleased with the puppy class in Hove. Experienced trainer who is willing to answer any questions and gets to know each dog.
