Claire was so much help, not having a puppy for a number of years I'd forgotten some of the basic training but Claire has been fantastic with us. It was also important to me to pick a trainer that like myself, was a dog lover, prepared to face any challenge but at the same time being extremely supportive to us and understanding to Teddy. We enjoyed our training with Claire, she made it fun and was always happy and Teddy connected with her from the start. I have used Dog Confidence for 1 to 1 training sessions for my labradoodle pup. Claire is a excellent trainer and Bella is always happy to see her. Each session Claire has shown us new techniques to build on to achieve our desired result, which ultimately for us was loose lead walking. With an overly friendly/excitable pup who felt the need to jump up every person or dog she walked passed, it was brilliant to see the progress she has made during our session today thanks to Claire. Claire has also helped us with general advice for things like dog harnesses, training toys, feeding devices etc. I highly recommend Dog Confidence!

I attended Claire's 8 week puppy training class with my cockapoo puppy. The training was excellent and my puppy was able to socialise and get accustomed to other dogs in a safe environment from a young age. Classes were always followed up with emails detailing what we had worked on in class and Claire was always approachable if you had any specific issues or concerns. I followed up my class with a 1-2-1 puppy booster session at my home as my puppy had issues with my older dog in that we were unable to walk them together because the puppy was over excited and barked continuously. Claire gave me some excellent strategies to resolve this issue and within a week we were able to walk both dogs with no problems. I would definitely recommend Claire and Dog Confidence for anyone looking for a local puppy training class with good follow up care and on going support

I attended puppy classes for my German shepherd Teddy & right from the start Claire was friendly and positive which put me & Teddy at ease right away, Teddy was very excited in the beginning with lots of barking & talking but my the third class he was so relaxed around the other dogs. Claire really knew her stuff and was great at explaining and showing us lots of new ways to teach our dogs commands. I also booked a one to one session for my other German/Belgian shepherd puppy Toby as he is very energetic especially when going for a walk and pulls like a train, Claire rectified this problem in one session, I couldn’t believe how quickly Toby picked it up & it’s like walking a different dog now, walks right by my side with no pulling. Claire also sent over lots supporting videos to keep up with the training and reinforce the no pulling techniques. Which is great as I have kept to the training and really noticed a difference. I would 100% recommend Dog Confidence.

Claire has been guiding us through a training programme for our sprocker Duke. She is patient with both the dog and us and clearly has a deep knowledge of dog behaviours.
