We got a puppy a couple of months ago and since this is our first dog, we were looking for a dog trainer who could introduce and explain us t main principles/ techniques of this proces. A friend of mine recommended Katya and we took her basis course that consisted of a couple of lessons where our dog learned such commandos as lay, sit, wait, come, drop, leave and other. During our lessons Katya gave us lots of useful information and tricks on how to train and in general communicate with a dog. Moreover, she prepared nice summary’s of each lesson so that we didn’t miss any detail. Apart from that we learnt a lot during our session, we also really enjoyed it as Katya is patient and explains in a very clear way. Highly recommended if you are looking for a professional dog trainer!

Archi and I had online private puppy training with Katya. She is a knowledgable and attentive dog trainer. We’ve covered everything I needed to know as a first time dog owner: crate training, what toys to buy, how to deal with biting, potty training, and of course basic obedience exercises. Not only we had the online classes Katya also provided me with video lessons which was very useful. If I forgot how to do something I could always go back to these videos. I highly recommend Katya for training your dog.

We worked with Katya for several months to improve our Newfoundland X Poodle teenage rescue. All three of us (me, my husband and Bonnie our dog) took to Katya immediately. She was so good with Bonnie and also us as new parents too. Katya has so much knowledge and patience, explaining things clearly but also telling us why we were doing that activity. Our dog has a habit of being a bit unpredictable and Katya adapted to her mood immediately in sessions. Also, it was great to have a written review of our sessions and "homework" and progress tasks to really work on Bonnie's skills. We have seen a huge improvement in Bonnie's obedience, loose lead walking and recall. Katya was very honest with us and on her advice we have sought out a behaviourist for our dog. She is super honest about her limits and told us when she couldn't help us anymore due to behavioural issues. We are going to address these and then we will be back in contact with Katya if we need it! I would recommend her to anyone with a pooch needing some skills. Katya is amazing.

My 7 month old dog and I took part in Katya’s adolescent training course and it was fantastic. The classes are small which means Katya is able to tailor the content to the individual needs of each dog/owner. Each week was different with some activities, such as loose lead walking, getting progressively harder each week - which was great as you could really see the progress. Worth saying as well that Otis absolutely loved Katya and the classes and was so excited to go each week. Would highly recommend.

Katya was fantastic in helping to educate everyone in our family on achieving positive interactions with our new Viszla pup. She was patient and engaging whether dealing with adults, children or puppy alike during our one-to-one and group classes. The techniques learnt in our sessions were incredibly helpful (especially for our kids and as a first time dog owner). These were supplemented with useful additional materials/reviews shared post class, often tailored to our specific pup, to work on at home. We all thoroughly enjoyed the fun classes, learnt a lot and would highly recommend Head Start Dog Training.

I have a really good experience of work with Ekaterina, the trainer from Head Start Dog Training. She is dog’s lover, good qualified and experienced trainer, she is keen help to maintain a good relationship between owner and dog. She has very individual approach to realising and explaining the needs of dog. She helped me to understand my puppy and provide me with great source of personal recommendations as well as video and websites. Both of us - my dog and myself are enjoying the time of training. My puppy Charlie and I attended the group puppy classes with Katya in November . Charlie loved attending the classes which were well organised and structured. Katya provided lots of support and answered all my questions. This gave me great confidence to train my new puppy. We made friends too and had a lot of fun. Head Start Dog Training has been a very positive experience, I’m glad we found it! Katya worked with us to make a custom training plan for Ralph which was based on any concerns or particular areas we’d like to work on. The sessions were all straight forward and Katya was great at explaining things and answering any of our questions (we could even ask questions outside of training with a quick message which is very kind of her). We were given all sorts of tips and tricks along with the training which has helped put us at ease with certain challenges and understand Ralph’s needs better. We’ve seen massive improvements in Ralph since starting the training, and he loved the homework tasks he took home with him! Ralph’s initial training plan is complete but we are looking to continue working on specific areas and learn some cool tricks. We highly recommend Head Start Dog Training and will be referring anyone who’s looking for training without a second thought.

Our lovely wee Cocker spaniel pup Bramble has just completed his puppy/adolescent training with Head Start Training. It has been a great experience for Bramble who was very shy to start with, but has now developed into a happy and more confident youngster. Headstart dog training was perfect for me and my dog. As a first time dog owner I needed as much training as he did. Im absolutely delighted with our progress. Ralph is now much more chilled, obedient and able to go off lead. He's much better trained but hasn't lost any of his adorable personality. We are having so much more fun together. Headstart dog training has so much love for your dog and so much patience with you. All training is through positive reinforcement which was so important to me.

We took our 3 month year old Weimaraner Beau to Ekaterina. He took to her immediately and picked up all the basic commands really quickly. We did around 10 one to one lessons which was really beneficial for Beau’s behaviour and obedience. He’s now nearly one and still sharp with his response to the commands we were taught. He’s a well trained, obedient, sociable and a happy dog. The early training formed the foundations for this to be possible and we couldn’t recommend Ekaterina highly enough. Could not recommend Katya more in regards to puppy training. We had the private lessons and Katya helped us with clear and straightforward advice on how to train our 12 week old puppy with the impact on Archie's behaviour immediate. Well worth getting the additional training sessions and Katya was brilliant with Archie. A shout out to the wonderful Steve as well!
