Over the years I left my boys in a number of catteries, or with private cat-sitting ladies. My boys are Scottish, and true to their culture never complained about them or praised them. I tried very hard to get their opinion but to no avail. Then almost accidentally, I came across Home Loving Cats and I phoned Gina Robinson. I was magnetically captivated by her warmth and love for cats which was, to say the least, a very pleasant surprise. I had to fly to Argentina and stay there for three weeks, thus having a diabetic cat and one with cancer, made me feel very uneasy about going. Then Gina came to meet the boys, and a blast of trust took over me. Gina proved to be fantastic. She not only looked after my cats, but also gave them a lot of love and dealt very skilfully and efficiently with the vet as there was an emergency with one of them. The vet later admitted to me her admiration for Gina. The boys expressed their love for Gina, waiting for her at the front door as the cleaning lady witnessed. In conclusion, I enthusiastically recommend that you leave your cat in the care of Gina

We have recently moved to Edinburgh and so don't know a lot of people yet to ask for help with our fur baby. I just went online and liked Gina' for the reviews and thought worth a try. Gina was so warm and prepared when I first met her ad instantly put me at comfort.. Gina took care of our cat for a week while we were away. We got some lovely pics, videos everyday in addition to a chat when I wanted more :) Food, play , litter box and meals for when we return were also taken care of! In addition Gina was kind to offer any help with recycling bins or topping up the fridge. I am so glad to have found her and she will be our go to everytime, as long our holidays don't clash! You might be thinking, another 5 star review? But having now used the services from Gina in Edinburgh to look after my cat, I can only agree she fully deserves every 5 * review. Gina was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, passionate about cats and their welfare, and affordable!! I have tried a few different people in Edinburgh through other services but none have compared to the level of service Gina gives. My cat loved her ( I could tell by the photos she sent daily, you can see her chilling on Gina's lap!) and my cat was very calm and relaxed when I returned. She cleaned bowls, litter tray, and gave my cat the attention she needs! I would 100% be using her again, I really felt like my cat was in safe hands. Thanks Gina!

We would highly recommend Gina after she cared for our Bengal girl, Charlie while we went on holiday last month. Charlie is definitely a home loving cat! She doesn't much care for car journeys or for a stay in the cattery so this was the perfect solution for us. We warmed to Gina straight away - her love of cats is so evident and it was a pleasure introducing her to Charlie when she visited before we went away. We felt in very safe hands and Gina was so organised and professional in making all the arrangements, it took all the stress out of that side of our holiday preparation! Gina was amazing! I would highly recommend and I will definitely be booking her again. Everyone stresses about leaving there beloved pets when they go on holiday well if you want that feeling of stress to stop ✋️ then I highly recommend using Gina from Home Loving Cats. Ollie is my bhoy and I havent left him for more than 2 nights so you could imagine my worry about leaving him 16 nights! I met with Gina before I went away and most importantly she met Ollie, and my mind was put at rest right away, what can I say the woman loves Cats! I was kept up to date with photos and a wee video of how he was doing every single day. Gina was lovely and made me relax on holiday as I wasn't worried about him at all when i was away. Nothing seems to be any trouble and Gina goes above and beyond offering to get me bread and milk on my return! Highly recommended 👌

We were a bit nervous about leaving our cat at home as he is always looking for attention and hates being alone. We recently moved house and were looking for a new cat sitter for our lovely rescue cat Baxter, I cannot speak highly enough of Gina. She is extremely professional and a delight to deal with. It's evident Gina loves cats and she makes your cat feel like the best one she ever met! She's extremely professional sticks to the times agreed, looked after Rosie really well, sent lovely pictures of her, groomed and played with her. Great experience using Home Loving Cats. Gina was great with daily communication and videos/photos of the cats and straight from the point of meeting and introducing her to the cats/showing her the house etc I could tell right away they would be well looked after. Gina was amazing from start to finish at putting me at ease leaving our 10 month old kitten at the time alone while we went for a weekend away. She is incredibly loving and great with cats and was a hit with Milo straight away, we really enjoyed the small daily updates and videos. This is the first time I have used a cat sitter - and I will certainly be asking for Gina's help again in the future. She was amazing! I think our moggy loved Gina more than he loves me! She responded really quickly the first time I got in touch with her and took the time to really understand what our routine is and what my concerns were. She kept me updated and reassured everyday that we were away and her cat photography skills are very impressive! Unfortunately there were a couple of "mousing" incidents during our time away, but Gina cleared them up so there was absolutely no evidence of them upon our return. I’d 100% recommend Home Loving Cats to look after your feline fur crew! Our cats have different/complex needs and sometimes need a referee, Gina has taken care of them for us for the first couple of times we have been away in over a year. I was worried about our older cat who had recently had investigative scans for illness. Gina was an absolute star! She genuinely cares about the cats and understood my worries. Both cats are relaxed and happy to be looked after by Gina, this definitely shows when the elder cat recognises her car and appears for food and an ear tickle. We were really impressed with Gina right from our first enquiry with her; she was organised, professional and set our minds at rest that our kitten would be well looked after while we were away. I had a really great experience with Home Loving Cats this past week. Gina went over and above to make sure that my cat Bow was well taken care of and went out of her way to reassure me of everything that would happen, as this was my first time leaving my rescue cat alone and using HLC. Gina came for an introductory visit to confirm any medication, feeding etc routines and, once I went away, I received really lovely daily updates of how they were getting on together (which was amazingly - I think my cat is still missing Gina today! :D). I really can't recommend HLC's services enough - a wonderful idea that saves so much stress for owner and cat of not having to take a visit to a cattery!

I have used Gina's service twice now and have been very impressed, with her professionalism and also her way with my 2 rescue cats. She asked lots of questions about their care and I was confident she would look after them really well. Both cats are nervous with strangers but Gina managed to gain their trust and they were both giving her head bumps by the end of her visits. First, for context, I should say that our cat is a rescue, a victim of abuse, and as a result, he’s incredibly timid. It took myself and my wife several months to get him relaxed enough to come out into the open and accept pets. Nowadays he’s very attached to us, but despite our efforts, we’ve not been able to socialise him and he won’t go near other people. This meant that we were pretty nervous about going away to visit family and leaving him in someone else’s care for any length of time. Then we saw at advert in a local magazine for Home Loving Cats, and thank god we did! Gina was wonderful from the get-go, and for quite a comprehensive service, her fee was surprisingly inexpensive. Everything was geared towards reassuring nervous cat-parents like ourselves. She went out of her way to get as much detail about our cat as possible, meet him face to face and make sure there wasn’t going to be any real changes in his routine. Her love for cats was evident in her every action. She kept in constant touch via WhatsApp, sending videos and pictures every day. She went the extra mile to reassure us that our boy was safe and we could relax, and she made it her mission to connect with our timid rescue. Low and behold, by around day 4, this scared wee soul was rubbing around her ankles, bumping her with his head, letting her stroke and brush him, and even meeting her at the door! We couldn’t believe it! I can’t over-emphasise how difficult it is to gain his trust, but Gina did it in four days. We really got the sense that her time with him meant a lot to her and that she really came to love our boy, which helped us feel so much better about having to leave him. Not only that, she also did some cleaning, emptied and disinfected the litter tray, brought our bins in, and watered our plants. We will definitely be calling on Gina when we next need to go away. We feel like our timid rescue has finally made a new friend, and is looking forward to seeing her again!

A B&B kind of arrangement! Not our first time requesting Gina’s help, this time though we thought we would go abroad and have Gina in our house looking after our 2 Maine Coons. Gina is unbelievable.
