I love the caring work they do with their animals. I have a little RSPCA Adopted Chihuahua. But I called in at Blue Cross to hand over a bag of my hand-knitted blankets and old toys my dog no longer plays with. They are a lovely bunch of staff.

Considering the difficult times we are all facing, Blue Cross guided us through a distanced adoption of 2 rescue cats. BC answered all our questions and provided us and our new kitties with fantastic support. Thank you for helping us provide forever-homes for these beautiful kitties!

I visited the center in Ipswich to ask about a dog in which I was interested in adopting, having already filled out their online form. I spent well over an hour there with a very helpful and friendly man, who went through all the forms and information etc. which I needed to know. I left there a very happy lady with an appointment to meet my chosen dog in 3 days time. They are very caring to the animals and guests, and very thorough with trying to match the animals with prospective adopters.

The problem with blue cross is they actually make it very difficult for families to adopt, nearly always no children under 10. Refused me to adopt greyhound as had an old Yorkie, even though had greyhound when I got my yorkie . And expensive to adopt there , so went and bought puppy from breeder, no problems there

My experience with the blue cross was the best. Super friendly staff who found us the perfect cat who needed a forever home. The process was super simple and they went the extra mile at every step to help with the adoption process and after care. Cannot recommend them enough.

I had the honour yesterday of viewing a beautiful little lab, and the young lady who explained the adoption process to me was very professional and knowledgeable. The site itself is a fantastic set up, with all of the staff involved in a hive of activity.. A terrific place to be for our little 'Best Friends' to start their journey into finding their forever homes..If You are seeking a new or first time dog, I can highly recommend Blue Cross Suffolk...

My fiancé and I attended the open day a short while ago and the facilities are very modern and comfortable for the cats and dogs waiting to be rehomed. We were very impressed with the other facilities available for the animals, such as the kennels for pregnant animals and the sensory gardens! All of the staff we spoke to were very friendly and passionate about the animals and everyone was made to feel very welcome. I'm looking forward to the next open day!

What a well organised, friendly place. Dogs ' welfare tantamount and rules for visits, possible homing etc can't be faulted. We hope to adopt another dog in New Year (having lost our beloved 13 year old labrador in September). Completed registration form when we visited. Very impressed with whole set up.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. We have only used this place for training with Best Behaviour Dog Training however, the staff in the Blue Cross Centre are so lovely and helpful.

Went for an open day. Lovely facility. Please check them out if your looking to get a cat or dog. Or even want to support them with time or financially. Everywhere looks clean, staff were lovely and the animals looked as happy as they could be waiting for a family to come take them home

Enquired about rehoming two cats and received excellent service. Appointment made very quickly, staff knew there onions and clearly love the job they are doing. Cats home within the week and have settled in really well, much of that down, I'm sure, to the care they received during their stay at Blue Cross, Wherstead. Well done and thank you to you all.

We picked up our little dog chico. A yeat ago and we returned with some bits and pieces to help the animals. What a great animal shelter 10/10 well done to all. Happy New year.

Blue cross has been helping animals since 1897 when they started with the London work horses. They rescue, heal and find forever homes for all sorts of animals from guinea pigs to horses. They're not as well known as other national animal rescues but they should be as they are a fantastic charity and deserve as much support as they can get.
