We really fell on our feet when we met Maria and started our one to one sessions with her. She is a fabulous dog trainer and really takes the time to talk about how the dogs brain works so you can better understand your furry friend. All training is undertaken with a gentle approach. Maria's group sessions are brilliant and so welcoming. We really enjoyed going as a family. Highly recommended!

We booked a couple of sessions with Maria as soon as we brought our puppy home. We also attended puppy and progression classes. Maria is welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble and she is always on the end of the phone, should you need advice or supplies. It has been a pleasure to attend the weekly classes. We have learnt so much and it was always fun as well as informative. If you are looking for a local dog trainer or behaviourist, then I would highly recommend Four Paws and Trails.

After struggling with recall and loose lead walking with our 8 months old labrador, the search began to look for a dog trainer. Although a little hesitant and like we’d admitted defeat, we came across Maria on a local Facebook group. A quick message to explain our problems and Maria was keen to help. She’s very knowledgeable, understanding and takes into consideration every dog and their owners situation. We attended the group sessions and had a few 1-2-1s in between. We can not thank her enough for the information she gave us to be able to help Hugo become the dog he is today. It’s clear she really loves her job and the dogs too! Highly recommend! We attended one of Maria's dog training courses when we adopted our first dog (a rescue). The course was very well organised while still being relaxed, we learned some really good tips and training exercises and our dog showed some real improvements in just 6 weeks. (Well, we showed some improvements as it was about training us as much as the dog!). Maria was patient, knowledgeable and friendly throughout and we can't recommend her services enough.

Maria has been walking my dog for nearly a year now, he's come on leaps and bounds, hes built muscle and looks fitter (he's nearly 10!) Marie gives excellent advice, i know i can always turn to her for sound advice! She adores the dogs she walks and prince is always very happy/eager to go with her, get in the van and enjoy himself. Marie is very professional, always gaining additional training- completing training course etc I would highly recommend Marie to anyone, she's trustworthy and overall a very lovely lady!

Booked some private sessions with Maria to help with an overly stimulated and energetic puppy who couldn't calm down. She helped us with games and exercises that were fun, engaging and rewarding with our pup. His attention towards us has improved, he's now able to calm down much quicker, and we've been given the tools to ensure we're giving him the best training and interaction we can to ensure he's a happy pup! The exercises were excellently explained, clearly demonstrated, with well defined progression to increase the level of interaction and difficulty to stimulate our pups body and mind. It's not hyperbolic to say she's changed our lives as things have improved so much. We can't sing Maria's praises enough!

Maria has been looking after our dog, Poppy for about 15 months. Maria is very professional,reliable and flexible and is interested in the overall welfare and development of your dog. Our dog is older and Maria has tailored the walks and the activities she does accordingly . I would highly recommend Maria to anyone .

Maria is wonderful! We are a few weeks in with her and I already can't imagine not having her come for our pup! I told her that we were first time dog owners and that we'd chosen a very high energy and boisterous breed and she has been kind, informative and reassuring. She came to meet us and our puppy Finn and stayed for over an hour going through everything very thoroughly. She takes Finn twice a week now and sends pictures and details of their lovely trips out, which I look forward to getting while I'm working. She is socialising him with other dogs and really helping with his overall training. She even set up a treasure hunt for him in our garden when I told her he couldn't go walking one day as he'd hurt his shoulder. She is very accommodating - my partner works shifts and I often don't know which days we will need Maria to come for Finn until late in the weekend before, but it's never been a problem. Her service is great value for money and I would highly recommend Four Paws and Trails to anyone looking for a brilliant dog walker.
