I have a 12 weeks old mastiff. He is a very nervous puppy. It was tough to find a trainer who could provide one-on-one training. I found Rachel after doing a lot of research. I liked how she worked; she came to my house, saw my dog in his natural habitat, and provided direction and assistance to me and my family, which has been quite beneficial to us. We've seen a significant improvement in a puppy as a result of Rachel's training. And the best thing about Rachel’s training that she is easy to contact and always available for advice.

We came across Rachel and the Star Pawfection team by chance and it was without doubt an excellent thing to have happened. We recently became owners of a cockerpoo pup and having not owned a dog for years, and having three young kids it had the potential for a ill mannered dog. We called Rachel and from that first contact we knew it was a great decision. Rachel oozes care, attention and detail. From our initial phone calls which lasted at least half an hour on both occasions, she took time to understood our situation, our routine, our household and was able and willing to give advice there and then on the phone "for free" without any hard sell. She earnt our trust from that moment, which continued when she came to our house for the training session. Meeting her in person she lived up to that which I had expected and more. She is wholly personable, confident and able to ebb and flow with the clients household with ease, quickly identifying issues and ways to resolve. She went through first steps and basic commands, through daily routine, managing poor behaviour and teaching more acceptable standards, to managing young children, walking routines, feeding. She puts into practice what she says, giving live demonstrations of her balanced training methods. She was able to teach my young son how to walk the pup and things he can do himself. Rachel is very easy to talk to and answers questions on the spot but she tailors her approach to what you want to focus on. There is a lot to understand but she delivers it with calm, understandable detail. Not only that she has remains in regular contact after her visit through messages and whatsapp and we still share progress videos or ask questions which she is prompt to reply to. Rarely do you meet those that you immediately feel comfortable with, but Rachel is one of those individuals. I cannot recommend her highly enough and will continue to work with her for years. A real 5* trainer.

What a difference a 3 hour visit with Rachel from Star Pawfection has made in our house. My dog had been acting up and my pandering to her was causing more harm then good. It was me that needed training on how to be a dog mum and Rachel was brutally honest with me about that. Which I needed. She talked through dog psychology and how to manage my various concerns. Within 2 days, I was already re-bonding with my dog and could see such a difference in her behaviour. She is so much calmer and after 12 months of having a fussy eater - I now have a dog who finishes almost all of her meals. I have a young nephew - and my dog was starting to attack him more and more as her behaviour got worse - I can safely say (so far) their relationship has completely changed. I am teaching him the techniques Rachel ran through with me, and she is learning to respect him too. They are best friends - just as I always hoped. The aftercare has also been the best - Rachel checks in often and continues to offer advice on the back of anything I tell her. We found Rachel after recommendation and her brilliant Google reviews. We adopted a Spanish rescue pup and and the poor dog went into complete shut down. Rachel initially came over on a sort of emergency appointment to work with the Ford and to tap our brains into that of a dog - not a human! She was on hand with advice at all times of the day and from there she came for a full session on the Sunday. We have worked to implement her techniques to help Ford and we certainly look forward to continuing our relationship with Rachel to train Ford (car fear, bus fear, wind fear!!) - and him to feel like he’s a secure, happy and loved pet. Rachel is friendly, straight talking and very knowledgeable but above all clearly wants the best for her human and furry clients - plus she has the most beautiful dogs of her own!

We were struggling to walk a 9month Labrador as he was a very excited, pulling and jumpy dog. We looked around for trainers however, found Rachel and thought a therapist is what our dog needs more. She is very efficient with her replies and met up with her very quickly for a meet up at our house. After having few hours of training/conversation we immediately saw he's behaviour change and she explained what we were doing wrong and corrected us. There is still some improvement needed however, it is a long process that we need to be consistent on but her aftercare is very good and can contact her anytime.

Absolutely brillant ! I have an alusky & literally hes a lovely puppy but stubborn with a very hyper streak! Ive absolutely learnt so much from Rachel. She has saved my life , I spoilt this alusky since ive had him and thought i was doing right by fussing him contiunsly , but Rachel had helped me so much to inforce some discipline to him. Im so grateful ive found her . Within 2 days hes a different puppy alot more well behaved . Would recommend her to anyone !

Found Rachel through web search and arranged puppy home visit for our German Shepard pup Louie. She visited our house on a Saturday and was very friendly and knowledgable, really helped put new owners at ease. We arranged to meet outdoors another time and again she stayed overtime, never felt rushed and we really enjoyed seeing the potential in our dog as she worked with him. Was good to see how well her own dog behaved.We are planning to to have lots more visits yet as the help is great and even if you think you already know a bit about dogs you might be surprised ! We have a little Cavapoo, who, by all means, was a very spoilt (unintentionally, I think) little pup! He would have tendencies to jump on you when you first came in to his domain, or even if you were just a poor passer by on a walk. He loved a distraction and not to listen to me. My voice would precede to get louder and louder with every minute that passed with him not listening; to anything i said, and I would then get more irritated and flustered and wouldn’t know what to do… I can truly say we were at the end of our tether patience wise! Enter, Rachel. From the moment she came in and spent a good few hours with us, after that one day, and us following the steps she asked us to implement; we (dare I say it) have quite an obedient dog! Naturally, he’s still finding his way in the pack, but, we could not have done it without her. For how she has helped, checked up on us post coming out; to her aura and calmness when dealing with our little Benji, was incredible. I would strongly recommend her to friends, family and even stranger dog owners on a random Sunday evening walk. There’s still work to be done, but his improvement is incredible, and how we all came together and followed simple steps for him, and persisted with it, is just the best investment of money and time we have made. Be honest with her, and you’ll reap the rewards. She’s welcome to pop by any time for a cup of tea. Top class and couldn’t be happier. Good luck to anyone that chooses her, you won’t be let down 😉☺️

We contacted Rachel for help with our chihuahua puppy who was barking at everyone and everything! Rachel came and saw him and us at our home and explained the reasons for his behaviour and what changes we needed to make. It’s been 4 weeks now since we have seen Rachel and we have achieved a huge positive change in our 11month old dog, we were having issues regarding getting our dog to walk/leave the house however with Rachel’s advice and training methods our dog happily walks straight out the house with no issues at all !!! We also wanted some advice regarding food and supplements which she was also able to help with. She advised us on how to create a better and stronger relationship between us and our dog including methods on how to do so which are working fantastically. A huge Thank You to star paws dog training! Rachel helped us with our 5 year old English bulldog that has been suffering with ongoing urine infections. After endless trips to the vets and not getting anywhere with them Rachel advised us to try a raw diet, she helped and advised throughout the change of diet with our pooch and within only 1 week we began to see a huge change and now only 6 weeks in I am so happy to say our fur baby’s urine infections have stopped completely and she looks and is doing amazing! The diet change has also helped with skin issues that our fur baby has been suffering with also. And this is all down to Rachel with her amazing knowledge and care. So thank you again star paws dog training you truly have been amazing!

Everything was a battle with our16 week old labradoodle puppy, Willow, until we found Rachel. She spent lots of time with us, taught us techniques to deal with our puppy’s unwanted behaviour and helped us with lead training. Willow is obviously a work in progress but she has come on in leaps and bounds already and our relationship with her is so much better. We are putting into practice everything she taught us and it’s really working. I cannot recommend Rachel highly enough.

My partner & I rescued an 18 month old German Shepherd in January and as soon as we got him, it was pretty obvious he had never been walked on a lead properly. Trust me when I say, we had tried absolutely everything but the PULLING DID NOT STOP. We were slowly losing hope until Rachel came round. I work 6 days a week so Rachel worked around us, came round on Saturday noon and spent 4 hours with us. I can’t explain to you how amazing Rachel has been. The aftercare has been amazing and she even popped back round with some more advice. It hasn’t even been 4 days and I’ve just taken my boy for a walk, HE DID NOT PULL ME ONCE. I am writing this with the widest grin and we can’t thank her enough. We would give 10 stars if we could.

Absolutely amazing service. We had been trying to train our pup into his crate for ten days without success, and noticed his behaviour seemed to be regressing rather than improving. Within 15 minutes of being with Rachel he was happily napping in his crate, and that evening willingly got into his crate to go to bed for the night. Amazed at the speed and turnaround of our gorgeous boy. Rachel really helped us understand where we were going wrong, and is responsive and continues to support you after the consultation. Would highly recommend, 5 star perfection pawfection!
