Reviews of Speak Dog Training and Behaviour Consultant
I had booked about 6 lessons with Emma for my goldendoodle puppy Murphy.
Emma has been so friendly and very professional. She has had so much patience with Murphy and myself !!
Emma follows up the training session with emails of what we covered in the lesson. Very knowledgeable and always on hand if needed.
If you're thinking about looking for a trainer for your puppy/dog don't hesitate in contacting her.
Many Thanks again Emma.

Emma is top draw. Would recommend her to anyone with a puppy or dog who need advice or help training a dog deals with behaviour issues ... great guidance. I'd best describe her as an expert in her field. Enough said.
Emma really does 'Speak Dog'. Her knowledge and understanding of dogs is second to none and she has a real passion to help owners get the very best for their canine companions. She uses no harsh training methods and tailors her approach to match the breed, nature and individual needs of each dog and their owners. She sees the best in every dog and helps owners to bring that out. I watch with interest as her methods and training initiatives are 'followed' by other local trainers. It appears that where Speak Dog leads, others follow! Emma trains dogs to achieve positive life skills and coping mechanisms. It is not all about fancy tricks and regimented 'drills'. Having a dog able to meet people appropriately at the front door, meet other dogs appropriately, lie quietly in the pub or cafe, enjoy a visit to the vets, to have good 'food bowl manner', to sit or lie quietly and trust you to come back...all of these things are taught in an enjoyable and effective way. I have also knowledge of some truly wonderful outcomes of Emma's training methods with a range of both simple and complex behavioural issues. I can't rate Speak Dog highly enough.
Emma is one of the most experienced, approachable and enthusiastic trainers I have ever ever used. Her approach is totally reward based training. We took our lab Loki to her for puppy class, then decided to continue with bronze and silver training and will also be doing the gold class. Our pup has learned so much from her skills and advice and loves seeing Emma weekly (sometimes more than I think he does us). I would recommend anyone who wants a friendly, well thought out and professional trainer to use her invaluable skills and input to having a happy environment to learn essential skills for both puppy and owner! I wish you all the best Emma, keep up the amazing work! :)
If anyone is looking for an amazing dog trainer/ behaviouralist or dog training classes then Emma at Speak Dog is your lady. She is fantastic and our puppy has come such a long way with her classes. Classes are small and great value. Check out her website and Facebook page for more information.
Fantastic trainer that really knows her stuff and makes it effective and fun for my dog - - and I have been trained to be a great owner too!!! - really thoroughly enjoy every minute of these classes and d not a punishment or clicker in sight - just praise, toys, games and treats ..... and well behaved dogs - Emma is a hoot & the only thing I dread is the courses ending. highly recommended !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We met Emma at a puppy socialisation class at our vets. She was very approachable and friendly, so decided to enrol Pen on her Puppy Diploma class.
Many classes claim to teach positive training methods, but Emma embodies these principles, she has a passion for providing you with positive techniques through reward based training to help you build a deeper bond with your dog in a way that enables you and your dog to communicate better, a way to 'Speak Dog', to learn how to speak your dog's language.
The classes are always fun, both for you and your pup, the pups go home feeling contented and tired.
As for the owners, it is always a laugh but the techniques are learned.
Pen has passed her Bronze Certificate and is currently working through the Silver Class and once passed, we will enrol her on the Gold Class. She looks forward to the classes.
There are many 'positive trainers' and behaviourists out there, but Emma is the only one I would ever recommend, she has your dog's utmost interest at heart.
Excellent service and support throughout from Emma. We also achieved excellent results with our dogs..
Best dog trainer ever
