C. R.Fantastic place! The dogs are so well cared for and the standards are very high. The staff will guide you through every step of meeting a dog, and there is support offered throughout, and even past adoption. They do have some limitations on which dogs you can adopt depending on your circumstances and home, but they also have a duty of care to adopters and to the dogs, so everything is done for a reason.

P. H.We adopted Hudson nearly a week ago now and we would already be lost without him, he is an absolute pleasure to be around and have in the home. We drove to see him 3 days in a row and brought him home on the 3rd day. All the staff we encountered was very polite, friendly and very helpful. You can tell the dogs are well looked after and loved while in their care. I cannot recommend this place enough. Hudson is our first rescue and will definitely adopt more in the future.

L. C.I had bedding and towels to donate and asked on my local site did anyone else have any. The response was brilliant as I ended up doing four trips full car loads boot an inside full. They have boxes outside you put them in they were full so I rang an with in minutes a man came down in a van and emptied the boxes an my car. Well organised professional immaculate clean. Will do the same again asking for donations. It was right time to do it as people getting new stuff for Christmas. Everyone appreciated me collecting them an dogs trust were very happy receiving them.

S. W.I love this place! I'm a huge animal lover and have to admit have always preferred to rescue a pet than to but one spanky new. I have not long lost my pooch and have felt v.lonely. It's too soon for me to be getting a new dog but I would encourage anyone to have a look at the dogs trust. They work hard to look after all the animals in their care.

I. P.Got our lad here a few weeks ago and cannot fault the staff. The handover was great and the dogs all seemed so happy and well kept. I've seen a few reviews saying that they don't adopt to homes with kids but we took my daughter along with us to the site and they were great at explaining how she should be with him, how to hold him on the lead and give him treats. They were honest about his flaws and told us everything we needed. We've had him 3 weeks and it's like we have had him forever. Thank you so much
M. M.I fell in love with Pip after seeing his profile on the Dogs Trust website, unfortunately it was a Wednesday and the centre was closed so Thursday afternoon at 11:40 I was at the reception desk filling out registration forms ready for when they officially opened at 12:00. I stated that it was Pip the Yorkshire Terrier I was interested in and I sat down with a lovely member of staff called Katie who went over my details. Twenty minutes later I got to meet beautiful Pip and was able to walk him around the grounds then spend sometime in a enclosed area were Pip was allowed off his lead and felt comfortable getting to know me and my Mum. At the end of our visit, Pip was taken back to his Kennel and I went back to reception and was now told that he was provisionally mine. After consecutive visits with Pip and a home check done on the Monday, Pip officially became part of our family on the Tuesday and is thriving in his forever home.

J. C.Visited Liverpool dogs trust in the hope of finding a suitable companion for our own, very nervous, rescued dog. The kennels were spotless and housed various breeds of dog. Personal checks were specific and designed to make sure the dog you decided on not only suited your needs but also had a safe and genuine place to go to.
Early days yet and hopefully we will find a suitable companion for our dog. Fingers crossed but highly recommended and helps with so many (mostly through no fault of their own) homeless dogs.
Thanks to Kim of Liverpool Dogs Trust it looks like we have found a buddy for our miniature Jack Russell. There getting on well and enjoying each other’s company!

T. V. H.Dogs Trust Merseyside are a wonderful organization. They look after all of the dogs really well and provide excellent training services for dogs and puppies that might need a little more professional guidance.
If you choose to adopt from them, please be aware that it might require a lot of effort on your part. You'll likely need to visit the centre a few times and you might even have to add a bit more height to that garden fence!
The most important thing (and I can't stress this enough) is to follow the training instructions given to you by the team. They are incredibly responsive and helpful via both phone call and email.
We were overwhelmed by the care and support given to us when we adopted our dog. Thank you Dogs Trust!

Nice relaxed area, you are allowed to walk round and see all the dogs. If one catches your eye you can take them a small walk to get to know your potential new friend better.

v. a.They are quite strict about who adopts the dogs, but that is better than just letting anyone have them, they do try to tell people what they are taking on, also the dogs seem well looked after and as happy as they can be in kennels.
M. B.Was such as welcoming environment for anyone to come and see animals who need a little bit of love. Was able to see dogs happily and was well informed of the needs of dogs through appropriate signage where required. Was informed of the rules and what I could do when I entered and was more than happy with my visit.
M. K.A marvelous place, all animals are treated very well. I recommend that if you want a dog this is the place to get a rescue dog from. We have rescued a greyhound dog called Ace, he is beautiful, calm, loving and quiet, has settled with us well.
b.It's a lovely environment for the animals. Very clean and very cared for. Staff are knowledgeable and polite. Excellent adoption process too. On site vet also. There are public rest rooms available and it's also wheelchair friendly . I have adopted 2 animals over the last 8 yrs from here and the staff most deffinataly make sure the person is suitable for the dog. The centre also offer post adoption help too.

B. W.A well run and caring facility, clean friendly and approachable staff. We went a couple of times before we found "our" dog. After this the process and red tape where handled professionally and with adequate explanation.
The follow up after we adopted our dog, has been on point as well.
A positive experience, however they could do with a signed vending machine in the reception, as it gets quite busy at the weekends and waiting to be seen in sweltering conditions, was uncomfortable.
To be commended , the staff who handle all parts of the service.
J.Lovely atmosphere, lots of colourful fun activities for the dogs to play and learn with. Dog school has been welcoming and friendly, it's great to have a trainer on the other end of an email to help you out. Recommended to all my friends.
S. O.Found the staff really helpful. The dog we went to see unfortunately ended up not being suitable, but they suggested another which was with Foster Carers due to not liking being in the kennels. Spoke to Kim who deals with the dogs in foster care, she is really nice. She was really informative, showed me some pictures and a video, and we arranged for her to bring Randall for a home visit. She has brought him twice and it’s looking good, next time when he comes he is going to stop for a couple of hours. Would definitely recommend getting a rescue, and if everything goes well he will be our third. First time we have used Dogs Trust, and would definitely recommend.

L. N.Lovely clean environment for all the dog's. All the staff were lovely. Some very friendly dogs, a lovely little patter dale who unfortunately had a facial injury but was super friendly and beautiful, who needs a home quickly.
P. B.Took some items here after losing our elderly dog and ended up getting another German shepherd. They are very thorough and wouldn't just let us take any dog without proper introductions with us and our other dog. We spent just over a week returning most days to do introductions and off the lead play to ensure that they were happy that our new dog was a suitable match. The dogs are well looked after and the staff spend a lot of time with each dog training and caring for them to make them as settled as they can be in a kennel environment. Our new dog has settled in fantastically and has the most wonderful loving nature. Can't recommend the Dogs Trust enough. If people can give a dog a good home, they really should consider rehoming a dog. It's very rewarding.

h.I can not recommend this dogs trust at Merseyside enough. Lovely reception staff working very hard to help everyone that comes to them, fantastic work done by all other staff at the Center.
They found me my dog max with in 3 days and even after a small mistake was made on are first visit regarding a different dog hope he finds a good home with older people too.
Well max has fit in perfect with are family and it’s all a very big thanks to Merseyside dog tust.

H.Didn't get the dog we wanted, but we wouldn't have taken her anyway, due to the condescending way we were spoken to, by some young little know it all, who spoke to us like we were in our 20's and not in our 60's. But we had a look round and found, a beautiful little 8 year old Staffie, who just needed to come home with us, we pick her up on 7/1/20. K. L.From the moment we walked in I knew I would be adopting a dog from here. It's so clean and tidy, tbh I was blown away at how calm the atmosphere felt when walking in. We walked around and said hello to almost all the gorgeous dogs, then we spotted Poppy! It was meant to be. She was so taken by us, as we to her, we knew we needed her home with us. Dogs trust were fantastic in the process. As I write this I am lay in bed excited to go and pick my fur baby up this very morning!! D.The place is well run and clean and the dogs are well taken care of. It seems if you have young kids they dont want to help you to rehome a dog, I kinda get this as its stressful for the dog to be returned to the centre over and over, so really there just making the best choices for the dogs.

There are dogs of all shapes and sizes and a little background Info is given about each one and it's suitability for certain homes. We attended dog training classes after adopting our pup from here. They were fun and informative and the whole family was welcome.

To the first phone call we made, right up to seeing him and then adoption. The kennels were clean and hospitable, the dogs all seemed well looked after and their motto is they'll never put a healthy dog down. We absolutely adore Cody, and only after a few days he is already one of the family and we wouldn't be here without Dogs Trust. I recommend them to anyone and everyone seeking to adopt a new loved one or even if you need advice on rehoming your pet. They really are there to help you.

S.After visiting the kennels I found the staff very knowledgeable and seemed very caring, the kennels at the front were very impressive not sure whether all the kennels are quite the same as these ones, maybe these are just the front Show kennels I don't know. But nevertheless I'm sure they're doing an amazing job.

M.Thanks for helping us find Mack (aka Mike ) He is now walking reasonably well on a lead, has good recall (sometimes forgets when out in our field and sees pesky bunnies ) and is brilliant in our home.
