Never having a dog before and not knowing what to expect I took Betty to Ultimutt following a recommendation. She was 6 months and a very fluffy pooch I was worried she would be cut too short. I went to collect her and she looked gorgeous. I was delighted, staff looked after her really well and were very knowledgeable and professional. I really felt they cared for my pup. Couldn’t have left her in safer hands. She has had 3 visits now and she gets the same excellent groom each time. The team are very accommodating and flexible regarding the length of time she is there which fits in great with my work. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thanks

I have recently rehomed a dog and was a bit nervous about getting him groomed as he's a bit nervous and I also wanted a traditional Scottish Terrier cut which not all groomers are familiar with. The team at Ultimutt were really reassuring and took great care of my little guy and cut him exactly as I wanted! Would highly recommend :)

We took our puppy Ziggy for his first groom today; initially a little concerned that he would need to be cut shorter than i would have liked due to some matting i left him in the care of Ultimutt and was a bit nervous of what he would look like when I collected him. He looked just lovely! and yes a bit shorter but clearly the groomers know what they are talking about. His coat was lovely and soft and he looks fab! thank you. Harry our Westie has been coming to Ultimutt since he was a pup he is 9 now. We are always more than happy with Harry’s groom and other dog owners have commented on his cut. We have recommended Ultimutt to other people and will continue to do so. Ann and her staff are lovely and their genuine care for the dogs is clear to see.

Very busy, friendly groomers. It's fair to say that our dog is not the most well behaved in the world, but Anne and her team have persevered with him where other groomers have given up. A good trim, just don't expect to be able to get a walk in appointment!

I have been getting my dogs groomed at Ultimutt for many years and have always been more than satisfied with the final groom. The staff at Ultimutt are more than helpful, always very professional and very friendly. I have always discussed what my desired groom is with each breed and been totally amazed by what the team have achieved! More than anything, which matters the most is my DOGS always show that are excited and love to be groomed there! Also if I have any concerns or need advice, I can always rely on the staff at Ultimutt as they are qualified dog groomers and they know their breed standards! I like to spend the extra few pounds on a good quality groom, I always believe in you pay for what you get! I thank Ultimutt for treating my dogs as individuals and not just another dog!

Please note that this review has been written by a third person, Penny Irving, who was not present and is going on hearsay. This is classed as defamation of a business in a court of law. Jessie Irving confirm that this was written by Penny Irving as she messaged my staff privately with a statement, stating that she was also going to be leaving a review of her own so this shows THIS review is misleading in its content and written on hearsay. Jessie was the person that came to my salon with her 16 week old Australian Labradoodle. Her puppy was booked in by Manager Danielle who assured her that we know how to groom her breed. We have many year’s experience grooming Australian Labradoodles and knowledge of the trim that they are put in. I was shown a picture of a adult A.L dogs head, that had white markings drawn on it as bullet points to show how she wanted the preferred groom which I said we could do as we do this regularly. (saying I did not look at the picture is untrue and Danielle was witness to this) I tried to explain to her, that the puppy was only 16 weeks old and it would depend on the coat type as a adult dog whether this cut could be achieved (sometimes coats are wavy other times coats are more curly) because we didn’t know what the adult coat would be exactly like I could not guarantee that when the pup reaches adult age that this groom would look exactly the same and this was explained to Jessie, The Australian Labradoodles coat still has variables in its texture as does the crossbreed labradoodle and that is when the problem arose Jessie did not listen to what was said and took offence When I said ‘crossbreed’ she angrily repeated that her puppy was a full breed because of its linage. Stating it was ‘muti-generational’. Never did I dispute this fact (again Danielle was witness to this) As to leaving her puppy Jessie knows perfectly well that the puppy was in safe hands, she was angry over a misinterpretation of a conversation and is trying to disrepute a salon because of this and her expectation on a preferred future groom was not being met. Your puppy was to young and only in for a bath and tidy not a full groom. You have stated that the puppy was with us for two hours which seemed a long time (this is considered a standard time within the industry) You were contacted before this time to let you know puppy was ready for you to collect early. As to making accusation that my staff and myself were angry and disrespectful is untrue, and implying dogs are not safe is a very serious accusation. But we are happy in the knowledge that we have CCTV to prove that this is not the case My staff and I are very respectful of our clients and their pets and treat all dogs as if they are our own. You have been angry over a misinterpreted conversation re-laid by member of your family and because of this You have put up a vindictive false and misleading review I am pleased that Jessie has found a groomer that she feels will be able to give her, her desired groom. I Have been going to ultimutt with my two springer spaniels for a few years, every time they come out looking fantastic. It's such a welcoming place my dogs love going and I wouldn't take them anywhere else. I think the price is a bargain for such a high standard of groom.
