T. L.Fenella has an extraordinary way with dogs (and their owners). We learnt so much from her in just one session. Within minutes of meeting them, she had our dogs happily following her every instruction, and then taught us how to do the same. What's more, it was just so interesting and fun to learn from her - she left us with loads of tips and strategies to deal with unwanted behaviour and a real understanding of what our dogs needed from us. Humans and animals in our house all happier as a result - I just wish we had booked her right from the start. Thank you Fenella!
C. C.Fenella is brilliant! She has sorted our 6 month old GSD puppy’s various lockdown anxieties such as barking, fear of people, other dogs and more. Thanks to Fenella our puppy is now relaxed, walks without pulling, is polite with other dogs and new people and has also learnt some great tricks.
Perhaps most brilliantly of all Fenella taught me and my family how to behave with our puppy to defuse her anxiety. I’ve no doubt she can deal with any dog problems and most importantly for the dogs, those of their owners as well!
M. V.My dog, Hope was very very reactive to other dogs. Since we started working with Fenella, she has progressed so much. Fenella helped me to teach Hope to be calmer, to pass dogs from closer on the street and also helped us to be able to slowly approach her and other dogs. M. N.I have met Fenella twice now to help us with our puppy and my friend and I have nick named her the puppy whisperer.
Our puppy was playing up on the lead mid walk and it had created such problems that I found it too difficult/stressful to walk her, leaving the responsibility of walking her to my husband for a couple of weeks. Fenella gave me some fantastic advice about how to be in better control of the walks just before we took a family holiday away and I couldn’t have been happier with the result after just one session. Our puppy is still learning to walk on a slack lead but has made so much progress in just a couple of weeks.
Fenella is a really good listener and really sought to understand what was going on to give the best advice and suggestions as to how to tackle the problems on both occasions that we met. I couldn’t recommend her more.
I think some trainers are slave to doing things a certain way and there were a couple of times when Fenella suggested something that we had tried before but when I explained that it wasn’t working for us, she understood that you sometimes need to tweak the way you are handling things to suit the dog and suggested different approaches.
I wouldn’t hesitate to call Fenella again if we run in to issues going forward. Highly recommended!
B. J.Had a visit from Fenella on tuesday for my cocker spaniel Ziggy. We were having lots of issues with his walking and recall among other things. Fenella was absolutely brilliant with him. Within the two hours he was a changed dog! no pulling and no jumping to take our food. She talks to you with such warmth and care not at all patronizing in any way. I didnt think this could be done in such a short time. Highly recommend without a doubt.
