We contacted Edita needing some help with our dogs reactivity. She arranged a 1:1 training session in a real set up outside her home in east London. Our dog was introduced to other dogs (at a safe distance) on-lead to help demonstrate the CARE (counter-conditioning) training protocol.
She gave us some practice advice during the session about how we can build on and improve his obedience and in turn help with his reactivity. It was great to get some first hand advice from someone who has a reactive dog and hear the methods she used to help address this.
We realised after our session that our dogs reactivity wasn’t as serious as we thought and instead we needed to brush up on his obedience training and avoid putting him into situations where we felt he couldn’t rely on us for his safety so needed to ‘react’ to defend himself.
I’d recommend Edita to anyone wanting a no nonsense approach to addressing their dogs reactivity using force free methods. I’d also recommend booking a session with her if you have a nervous dog to prevent reactivity before it develops.

I can recommend HHH enough, Edita and the team are amazing.
From the start, one of our biggest challenges with our dog was lead walking and having Edita correct our approach before she got too strong was a life saver (we'd read a book and thought we had it down but it clearly wasn't suited to big powerful dogs).
As well as daycare, we have taken her to the Big Dog Training Group and had a few 1-1 training sessions with Edita. We find these really help us refocus on what training is most important, as well as vital course correction and teaching us creative tips on how to keep things fresh.
Edita tells us what to expect at different development stages and how to prepare (e.g. second fear stage). Learning how to handle changes in behaviour has helped us build confidence - and kept Berta confident and happy!
Of course, day care has also been incredible for her ability to socialise and play safely with dogs of all sizes when she meets them elsewhere.

We are so grateful for the care and love provided by the HHH team who have been taking care of our puppy for the past three months. Our puppy loves going to HHH. She made wonderful friends there (dog & human) and has received excellent training too. Edita is a fantastic dog trainer, we highly recommend her puppy classes and one-on-one training too. We feeling very fortunate to have found HHH.

Hairy Hounds is absolutely fantastic. Our energetic mini-schnauzer Charlie has been going to daycare 3 days a weeks since she was 4 months old. With Edita and her team's help Charlie has matured from a very boisterous puppy to a beautifully mannered little dog that we can take everywhere with us. Charlie adores going to daycare and cannot get to the door fast enough when she is picked up. It is also so reassuring to be able to leave her for holidays knowing she is having a great time with her doggy and human friends. We are so grateful to Hairy Hounds for enabling us to have a dog whilst working full time and cannot recommend it enough.

We just did an indoor training session with our 12-week-old puppy, and I now feel so much better equipped when it comes to training her. Edita clearly laid out what we need to do, and put our minds to rest with all the questions we had. Would strongly recommend!

The gold standard of doggy daycare. My puppy, Missy has become so much more independent and happier since she joined! I fully trust this team and cannot recommend them highly enough. Important to come here first if you want a well behaved doggy!

Not just any doggy day care .. HAIRY HOUNDS OF HACKNEY is the absolute bomb!! Dog paradise I would say! Our very lively Boston Terrier has been lucky enough to have been with Hairy Hounds since she was a puppy .. Truly couldn't have managed our spirited dog with out the services of the Edita and her great team. So Edita is the owner but she also has another name 'The Dog Whisperer" .. well thats what all of us owners call her. Honestly you could have 30 dogs in a room and you would be able to hear a pin drop .. no lie! The dogs in her care are stimulated through play and walks and learn great behaviour skills as well as down time .. snuggling up round the wood burning stove .. What more can I say .,. its a special place .. a rare find ...

My pup, Ripley, has been going to Edita and the team at hairy hounds in hackney since she was 12 weeks old for day care, three days per week, and it's been the most amazing service and experience for both me and Ripley.
I can't rate the team, site and overall service highly enough. I was very lucky with Ripley, she's not been a difficult dog to raise and train. However, I have to say that there was an instant improvement in her behaviour almost immediately. I have particularly noticed Ripley's indoor manners have improved greatly and she's clearly on the path to becoming the most excellent of companions. I'd like to take a some credit for her behavioural improvements but I have no doubt it's probably 80/90% due to the amazing work they do at the centre.
I have also engaged Edita for a private training session and it was the most valuable hour I could have possibly wished for. Edita clearly understands breed characteristics, has a wealth of knowledge and is just an all round lovely person with a huge amount of passion for her work and dogs in general.
In summary, an amazing centre run by incredible people providing a truly excellent service. Thanks so much for doing an amazing job with Ripley :)

Edita was amazing today. We have a rescue dog that has developed anxiety through aggressive barking at strangers. Edita took her time to train us on how to help with Rocco's behaviour & sent us home with lots of tricks and tips on how to keep him calm moving forward. Rocco thoroughly enjoyed his time with Edita and we were super happy with the training.

We adopted Dora at 6 months old from another family where she had been bullied by two older dogs of different breeds. We quickly discovered that she was a nightmare on the lead, she would pull badly, not respond, scream if we stopped walking and would bark as soon as she would spy a dog or another animal in the distance. We did lots of googling and bought behaviour books but nothing seemed to work. We had managed to successfully introduce Dora to other dogs in the house and she got on with them well albeit after some initial barking and uncertainty but when she saw another dog on a walk it was a different story. So we enrolled her at HHH.
Edita told us that at first she would bark at every dog that entered daycare but they had sorted that within a week. We then had some 1:1 training with Edita. Edita explained everything to us super clearly and enabled us to understand why Dora might be doing what she was doing. The team at first thought she may be a reactive dog but realised quickly she wasn’t and successfully identified Dora’s unique issues and a clear path for sorting it out.
Edita is very patient and really understands dogs, her training methods take account of the breeds, their personalities and her wealth of knowledge on dog behaviour. Edita and the team are lovely and they go above and beyond, giving Dora and us extra snippets of training where we need it. It is very reassuring to know that she is being looked after so well and that the training and development continues at day care. It has also left us feeling so much more confident in our training. We are so grateful to have found HHH - there’s some way to go but the change so far has been unbelievable!

We have a little Malinois // Dutcher Herder // Lurcher cross who is super intelligent and very naughty if we don't structure her day and play. We were recommended Edita and had such a good result on nipping and crate training that we decided to book her into day school for a couple of days a week to give us a break and consolidate training.
Edita and her team are absolutely brilliant, they know the dogs well and spend all day training the dogs whilst they are in care. This means that our dog now plays well with other puppies and her inhibition training is working really well too. It's a really good investment for us, means that we have time to get on with work but also a break from her so we have quality time when we're together.

Just back from an amazing training session with Edita for my 5.5 month old JackChi. She was incredible with him, shared a ton of knowledge with us, giving practical examples and showing how the right behaviour can be achieved and how to maintain it, plus all the psychology and reasons behind it. Absolutely excellent experience I would recommend to anyone, a must even if you're not having issues with your dog/puppy as I've really understood more how to communicate with him, manage any situation and keep him safe.

Dudley and I have had a few 1-2-1 training sessions with Edita now, which have been unbelievably helpful. She understands his breed, and the best way to motivate him to train, and has given us lots of useful training tips / videos we can continue to practice to ensure we have a solid foundation in place. It’s Dudley’s fave outing of the week. Can’t recommend enough!

The best daycare in Hackney. Super professional, operating a calm, safe and engaged environment for all their pups. Teaching them to play nicely together with lots of stimulation and we'll structured schedule of play and quiet time throughout the day. The team here help to support you with your training and take fantastic care of all their dogs.

Really brilliant training! I've been taking our 18 month old Tibetan Terrier for training as we wanted to feel more confident with his recall and I can't recommend Edita and her team highly enough. They're so knowledgeable and I like their style - they really observe you with your dog and highlight where you might be going wrong and we've already seen a huge improvement in Dylan's recall! We plan to continue with the training :)

I am so thankful I found Edita and her wonderful team! As a first time puppy owner, I had spent a lot of time researching and trying to understand the best skills to raise my pup. As he is with me all day every day I have the time to dedicate to training him, but I’d also read that socialization is key to their development so decided to put him one day a week into a puppy playgroup. It only took three days there for him to start learning some very antisocial behavior that came from the non stop play fighting. He was learning to bark at every single dog no matter what age or situation, and launch into play fight mode without reading other dogs boundaries or learning any manners! After just ONE DAY training with Edita, and learning to be around mixed aged dogs with the NO BARK policy, he came home a completely different dog. He’s now much calmer and much more responsive with me at home and off lead in the park. I hate to think how his behavior would have developed if he’d continued in the playgroup.. I feel confident every day with Edita and her team mean that he’s learning new skills and although I didn’t want to be without him I now really appreciate the benefits of him getting professional training- and it means I am learning too! Thank you Edita!

Ed has helped me and my dog so much. When my dog was a hormonal teenager, me and Oscar had several incidents with other dogs & their owners, which lead me to becoming an anxious owner.
At the point of having panic attacks, I decided enough was enough and so recently did some training with Ed, and instantly after felt so much less stressed & more confident. I finally have some direction & more control.
Edita was so understanding and not judgemental, I just felt so much relief.
I can't recommend a training session with Ed enough. Every day now feels better and it's helped me to find joy in my dog walks again.

The team at Hairy Hounds are just wonderful. It is so much more than daycare, they really understand dog behaviour. Our little pup loves it, he always comes home so tired and happy. He has also boarded with them recently, it was lovely to know that we were leaving him in such capable hands and to receive regular ‘pup’dates. He has certainly come home with more manners than he left with ☺️
Can not thank Edita and the team enough for all their help and support in building our little man up into a confident well behaved pup.

I cannot say enough great things about Edita, Rosie and the whole team at HHH. They provide a safe and engaging environment for your dog and encourage good behaviours; no barking and no aggressive play.
My dog Reggie was able to socialise with dogs of all ages (very important for a puppy) whilst learning basic obedience and I gained the ability to focus on work knowing he was safe and most importantly, happy.
Edita knows her stuff and she's extremely generous with her knowledge and time. Reggie even boarded overnight with the HHH team and I was always confident that he was being well looked after.
Don't be put off by the three day rule either, it really is the best advice for your dog who will likely bound into HHH confidently every time (and perhaps be reluctant to leave). I've moved out of Hackney now, but we really miss being so close to such an awesome facility. Now just to convince Edita to open up in SE London...

We are so happy to have found HHH - their space is very special, a beautiful large outside area and also very cosy inside, all specifically designed for their dog daycare. In addition they take such amazing care of the needs of each individual dog, have a great expertise in training and looking after dogs however they tick..
I have a little sausage, he is a sweetheart and active young hound, but had been attacked viciously and was therafter much more nervous and vocal - thanks to HHH he is back to being a confident and calm dog - basically he is happy again. And I have to add that they are very inventive with daily dog activities and new games and play... really cant praise HHH enough! Viva!!

Such a brilliant doggy day care. They really look after the dogs so well. Mine absolutely loves it here and he gets a good mix of play, training, socialising and rest. A great group of people who are always looking out for the best interests of your dog

Edita was brilliant and very straight forward. She really helped to put our minds at ease with our rescue dog Gordon. Lots of useful information and training tips in a very relaxed, easy going session in the park. She gave us the confidence to inspire and trust our dog and to understand how to best be his protector and friend.

Amazing Grooming Service. I just got a rescue dog who has never been groomed before. Agata did a fantastic job, I was so happy and so was my dog. I highly recommend them!!

I sent my dog to Hairy Hounds in Hackney (HHH) from the time he was 16 weeks old for over a year until we moved further away. Edita and her team were absolutely fantastic and integral to Ernie's development into a well rounded, easy going dog. Ernie attended HHH full time for the first 8 months and Edita and the team worked so hard on his training, particularly his housetraining, and I am forever grateful to them. They are a professional and fun team! There are not many people I would trust to look after such a young puppy, but I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Hairy Hounds of Hackney. Thank you!

Unique and highly recommended! Edita and her team transformed my pup and continue to teach me and my partner so much about how to be a good dog parent. We don't actually need daycare as we work from home but Ubi, our pup, needed training as well as socialisation with *well-behaved* dogs of all sizes and ages. Puppy school would have simply thrown him in with other excitable young ones but here, he has learned very quickly and happily how to be in many situations, with the team of helpful dogs and humans making sure he is safe and happy at all times!
I can't imagine him getting this attention and focus from anywhere else.
HHH provide mental and physical stimulation, agility games, fun, comfy rest time, and behavioural training. Training him at home has become so much easier, other dog owners comment on how well behaved he is, and Ubi LOVES going to school and loves meeting his schoolmates in the park! I am SO glad that we took the advice of our friends to bring Ubi to HHH. I had been worried about the expense but it has definitely been way better to prevent behavioural anxieties *before* they come up and it has been worth every single penny.
Edita and her team are super warm, knowledgeable, helpful, and are always happy to help with additional advice whenever I need it. If I were a dog I'd love too go to HHH!

I had wanted a dog for a long time, but wasn’t sure how to make it work given that I live alone and work on the other side of town. I finally took the leap when a friend encouraged me to do it with the caveat that ‘it takes a village’ and well, I’m SO glad that Hairy Hounds in Hackney (HHH) are part of mine.
I had thought I’d take my dog to work each day, but the reality of that didn’t really work, so I contacted HHH to book her into doggie daycare. I was also feeling out of my depth with the training as despite my best efforts, the time and consistency required just wasn’t possible whilst I was in the office.
Within just a few days of being in daycare my puppy’s behaviour had changed. Not only because she was being trained at daycare, but so was I! Each day Edita and her team taught me new skills to ensure that the way I was handling her was the same as how she was being handled in day care and that consistency was absolutely key in her training and really expedited things. Edita is known as the dog whisperer and I can attest to that!
The dogs in daycare are all regulars, which means they know the routine, each other and the rules! As an owner I feel much safer knowing this and when I see how excited my dog is to see all the members of the team, it makes me truly happy that she’s part of the HHH clan.

We took our 8 month old puppy Milo to see Edita for a one-to-one training session. We haven't previously had training for Milo before, we were trying to do it ourselves but realised it was time to get some help.
Edita was great! The training was all outdoors due to lockdown restrictions, but she instantly took control of Milo, went straight back to basics including correct leads, collars, stopping him from jumping up, distracting him, when to give treats etc. We ran through all of the basics, and then asked questions and focused on particular things we'd been struggling with i.e running off in the park, not being able to get him back on a lead. We ended up being outdoors for over the time slot in the freezing cold, so really appreciate the effort!
Within a week, our control of Milo was sooo much better. We're doing morning and lunchtime training sessions at the park back on a long lead, getting him back to us is no problem at all already, we both can't believe the difference already. We couldn't have achieved any of the results without Edita. THANK YOU!!

The best doggy day care in London. Edita and rest of the team are fantastic with the dogs and the service is amazing.

I have trusted my dog (Alma) to Edita and HHH team for more than 4 months now. I have to say that I received a superb service. They helped Alma building her confidence and developing great social skills. HHH facilities are also super stimulating for the the dogs... Thank you v much guys ! :)

When it comes to dogs' health and wellbeing, Edita is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced people I know. She cares for each of the dogs in her care as if they were her own and showers them with all the love and attention their little hearts can handle. Homerton's dog owners are very lucky to have her take care of the development of their pets.

We wanted a dog for a long time & didn’t think it would be possible to combine responsible dog ownership with work. But then I found HHH. They have helped us care for our hound from day one. Two years on & she cheerily runs in, tail wagging, to see all her mates for a fun-filled day before coming home & collapsing! Having a dog has brought so much happiness to our family & HHH made this happen. The staff are lovely & we feel fortunate to be part of the HHH community.

We have had two training sessions with Edita and on both we all learnt so much ! Soon became obvious that it's as much about training the trainer (ie us) as training our 12 week puppy!
Edita is endlessly patient, practical and full of sensible, relevant advice.
Highly recommended

Pippin has been like a different dog since the training session earlier today. So calm and relaxed . we think it is because of the controlled and calm experience you gave him during the training. We are going to learn from it. Thank you Xx

Edita and her team are amazing! I cannot think of anyone so passionate, professional and caring when it comes to dogs (and their owners)! I would highly recommend Hairy Hounds in Hackney.

We absolutely love Hairy Hounds! Wilfred, our whippet puppy gets so much care and attention, and the owner, Edita is always very generous with her time. She has given us invaluable advice any time we have needed it, including doing additional training with her to practice introducing our excitable whippet to other dogs, walking off lead and recall training.
During Wilfred's first few weeks at daycare we received regular pup-dates with pictures, videos and a mini report on how he was settling in after each visit, which made us feel at ease and confident he was being well cared for. He is now a regular daycare attendee, and he truly loves it. Trying to get him to come home at the end of the day can sometimes be a challenge. He doesn't want to leave!
We are delighted to have found Hairy Hounds and sure Wilfred is too.
