We recently welcomed a very excitable lab puppy into our lives - who brings lots of joy but also lots of challenge too! Barbara has helped us to tackle some of our puppy's more difficult behaviours - we are loving the puppy foundation course so far because it is a fun, informative and covid secure environment. Aside from this, Barbara is really approachable and always available for a phone call outside of classes - which has really set our mind at ease and helped with our puppy's biting and general naughtiness. Couldn't recommend Tip Top enough - thank you so much Barbara - from Olivia, Hugo and Margot

Our 5 month old Australian Shepherd has just finished his puppy foundation course. It was a great course and Barbara was a wonderful trainer. We had 2 one2one lessons first, which really helped to get Bow started and then we did the course. We felt very safe and Barbara is really Covid aware. She has great knowledge, really understands the dogs and is full of information. She also sends follow up emails after every class, with homework which is very helpful.
We would highly recommend Barbara and Bow really loved her.

Barbara is a first class trainer and a lovely person! She has gone above and beyond in all aspects of helping us train our dog. Always ready with useful tips, great electronic guides and brilliant in person classes. I would highly recommend her to anyone with a puppy looking for training and we are extremely happy we found her.

For the last two months we've been having training sessions on the phone with Barbara and our puppy is making great progress. She's helped us with any questions or issues we've had and talked through training exercises that we can practice at home, as well as sending us lots of notes and materials about training and advice by email.
Barbara is very knowledgeable about dog behaviour and training and as first time dog owners, her guidance and advice has been such a big help, especially with the current restrictions.

Would recommend without a doubt!!
I have been attending classes with my Chihuahua since she was just 9 weeks old. From the first time I met with Sue and Barbara, they instantly put me at ease and, I knew that I had found the PERFECT dog training classes in London.
Classes are held either at the Vet (Kindergarten) or the Church Hall (Puppy upwards), both venues are very clean, tidy and well suited for the classes.
Sue and Barbara's approach to classes is fair, structured and fully accommodating. They provide safe and enjoying learning environment for both humans and dogs, regardless or age, ability, breed and size!

Barbara and Sue have been amazing in supporting our mini schnauzer to become a well-mannered pup. We first attended their puppy kindergarten, which was perfectly structured to familiarise our puppy with new dogs and new situations.
She then attended beginners class and is now in intermediate class. Sue and Barbara, and their team of helpers, are attentive and helpful throughout. Even in a busy class, they ensure each individual has help on hand. Both trainers have been more than willing to offer advice and assistance above and beyond the classes themselves, and show a real commitment to each dog's wellbeing and success.
Personally, I wasn't 100% whether we'd want to attend puppy training at all - but I am very glad that we did, and I am very glad that we chose Tip Top Dog School. 🐾

Tip Top Dog School has been a wonderful and invaluable resource for us and our puppy. We attended Puppy Kindergarten to socialise our pup before he was fully vaccinated and learn some basic techniques, which I would recommend to everyone. We also had a 1:1 session with Barbara as our little one is bright and loves to learn, and we are now in Puppy training and plan to continue on. Whenever we have encountered a problem, like car phobia or stubborn puppy biting, Barbara has always been just a phone call away with a solution. Barbara and Sue are very dedicated and I can’t imagine working with anyone else, Tip Top Dog School has really helped us enjoy our time with our puppy and with our confidence as puppy parents.

I have been doing video training sessions with Barbara during the lockdown, and she has been so helpful in training my puppy! She talks me through different exercises when we are live on video in addition to sending me many useful articles and materials via email. Thanks to Barbara, my puppy is progressing well despite the unusual circumstances. We have been able to cover all the same material as the classes, and more, with individual customisation. I highly recommend her.

We recently adopted an adult rescue Lurcher and received excellent one on one training sessions with Barbara. She gave us fantastic tips on breed-specific training as well as practical help with socialization and behaviour issues such as separation anxiety and house training. She has also made herself available above and beyond just the training sessions for advice on any issues that have arisen with our new dog. The workshop on Hampstead Heath extension was a great opportunity to practice recall training in a varied group of dogs. Tip Top's method of 'training' the owners as well as the dogs is a great way for the owners to really understand the dog's behaviour. I highly recommend Tip Top to anyone looking for competent, professional dog trainers

I am a local veterinary surgeon and dog owner, and have known Barbara and Sue for many years. They have always shown so much care towards their pupils - both fluffy and human, and work tirelessly to create happy dogs and happy owners. The puppy classes they run are always very well attended and the feedback from clients is excellent. Will continue to recommend .

Tip Top has been a great companion to us as we integrate our new puppy into our family. With their special humour, endless patience & wonderful coaxing, Sue and Barbara are real guides & friends when it comes to navigating the sometimes daunting process/industry of dog training. Thank you!!!

I love my Sunday school. I am a Chow Chow, some might say we the hardest dog breed to train due to our stubbornness, my cheeky nature is also well known in Chow circle. Mum enrolled me in Tip Top when I was 11 weeks old, in their kindergarten class, then moved on to puppy class, follow by intermediate level, I am 2 years old now moving through the rank to Adult class. I recently passed my Kennel Club Good Citizen Silver test with the school, going for gold next, only a handful of Chow in the country goes this far, thanks to Tip Top.
Am I the most obedient dog? Of course not, I am a Chow (mum managed her expectation before she got me). But when I am good I am as good as gold. I am a Crufts Good Citizen class (for Chow Chow) winner the last two years, I represent the breed in discover dog show.
What I like most about Tip Top (other than meeting all the other students) is that my trainer Sue and Barbara knows that Chow can be stubborn at times, they let me learn at my own pace. There are days I will just sit in the class watching others working hard, as I am not in the mood; other times I might have to pull out of school for few weeks to just get over my adolescence phase. They strategically place the students around the hall, so we don't disrupt each other from learning. The Tip Top training assistants are also my best friends, so there are lots of help hands around to ensure the classes run smoothly.
So if you want a safe and friendly environment to socialise and train your dog, I will highly recommend Tip Top.

We first contacted Tip Top about four years ago to help with our chihuahua Juno, who had a habit of screaming at every dog that walked past her. Following Sue and Barbara's guidance, over a period of two years we gradually eased her into the dog classes, starting with the outside sessions and then building up with the ones in the church hall. We did 5 minutes in a class, then gradually up to the full hour. Juno eventually managed to pass her bronze, silver and gold good kennel club medals. She's still likes to have a shout now and then, but she's a much calmer dog than before. The key thing in her improvement was Barbara and Sue's willingness to give Juno the time and space to get used to the class and the other dogs in her own time rather than being forced into a situation before she was ready.
We also have used Tip Top for our other chihuahuas, Fred and Penny. Fred had a problem with toileting in the house and chasing our cats, but by us following Barabara and Sue's guidance, he is now near 100% perfect. He also obtained his bronze and silver medals during his time at Tip Top. Penny, our youngest, is currently attending Tip Top classes and has passed her bronze test and we're hoping she'll take her silver and gold as well.
The key thing when attending Tip Top or any other dog school is patience and a willingness to learn. Dogs do not naturally know a lot of the behaviours we ask of them, but following Tip Top's guidance and putting in the work, you'll be surprised just how much your dog can do.

Invaluable lessons and advice - We have been attending classes for over a year, going through the Kennel Club Good Citizen Award Scheme syllabus and have learnt so many practical and important training points. All in all, it's made everything about owning a dog so much easier, and all the practising has really served to strength our bond. Highly recommend!

I am a local veterinary surgeon and have known Sue and Barbara at Tip Top for over 10 years. My colleagues and I regard them as professional, friendly, eminently sensible and caring. Tip Top is our recommended school for puppy socialisation classes, and we also work with them for specific individual behavioural and training needs. Highly recommended.
