We have used VIP twice now for our cat, both sitters have been great however the latest sitter, Giovanna, was excellent. She updated us daily with photos, always turned up on time we agreed and was generally very friendly. Also our cat is quite shy and even so, he came out of hiding and became comfortable with Giovanna quite quickly. The agency itself is also very responsive, affordable and hasn't let us down, even when we had to make a booking in quite short notice in the past. I would definitely recommend VIP and Giovanna.

Tracey was an absolute joy to deal with. She was an absolute professional with our dog who is a rescue and can be very wary of new people. He needs special consideration as he is a nervous/anxious dog and Tracey knew exactly how to manage this. She listened carefully to all of his needs and quirks and took it all on board. Podrick was very happy and had a great time with Tracey. We know this as we received lots of updates and could see that they were having a great time together! Tracey was super accommodating and took care of our house with the same care as she took care of our dog. We are so lucky to have found her :)

The service from VIP is superb! We have booked the same person (Sarah) twice and couldn't be happier with her. She sent us regular photos and videos as agreed in advance so we could see how happy our cat was with her. This really enabled us to enjoy our holiday as he is quite a shy cat and we were a bit worried about leaving him. It is clear Sarah really made an effort to bond with him and that she spent a lot of time with him, in addition to keeping him in his usual routines. She was very responsible in dealing with an electrical problem in our Victorian home. Sarah is a very special person indeed and the organisation is super efficient We are not planning to travel for a while but if we do we will definitely come back to VIP to check Sarah's availability first.

She gave good advice re extra fluids for one of our cats, asked about extra care and was just lovely - our unsociable cat even came out of hiding to see her!! We are so glad a neighbour recommended Very Important Pets. As new pet owners, we were nervous about leaving our pets to go on holiday. We needn’t have been, our pet sitter came and met us in advance, spent a long time getting to know our pets and reassuring us (and our children. We went on holiday knowing they were in safe hands, and she kindly sent daily photographs showing our pets happy and well cared for. The only downside was coming home to find them so content and well cared for, they seemed to have no idea we had been away!!

I’ve used Very Important Pets for both dog training and dog sitting over a weekend and have found them excellent to deal with. Bea the dog trainer was knowledgeable and professional and Vanessa the dog sitter was lovely and caring. My one year old energetic labradoodle loved them both. The office staff are quick and professional and I would thoroughly recommend this for anyone looking for help with their pets.

Catherine was amazing with our puppy, very kind, patient and pleased to have him in her home. When we returned to collect him, he was relaxed and happy and had clearly been very well looked after. Booking through Very Important Pets was so easy and straightforward. And I would highly recommend Catherine.

I absolutely love Very Important Pets! I have used their in-home cat sitting service many times, and I just couldn’t be happier with the warm, expert care the sitters provide for my two cats. Booking is very easy, and the sitters are extremely trustworthy and professional. One we booked has been with VIPs for a decade! They also go above and beyond to ensure that you know what’s going on with your pets when you’re away. For our pets, VIPs is a major improvement over even the best cat boarding facilities; the cats are much happier to stay in their home and to stick to their routine. I’m a first-time cat owner and often feel that the sitters we’ve had, Catherine and Tracy, know more about cat behavior and care than I do, which is actually great. I always come home to two happy, healthy, well-brushed cats who seem surprised that I’m back to harass them.

They go into great detail in getting to know your pet, their routine and needs before matching you with a local and friendly pet carer. Communication, set up and invoicing is smooth and easy. Our regular cat sitter Brenda is absolutely amazing and we couldn’t do our family holidays without her, safe in the knowledge that our cat Penguin will be looked after with bundles of tlc with someone he feels as comfortable with as a family member. Our communication with Brenda is always great, she sends us updates, pictures and videos whilst we are away and always spends a good portion of time with our pet even when we just have the cat feeding service. We trust Brenda implicitly and Penguin loves her and is always excited to see her look after him.

Our pet sitter Eddie went above and beyond the level of service we expected, and genuinely enjoyed his time with our boys and that showed in how he cared for them. We didn't feel the need to check in with him at all, as he kept us informed daily on how they were doing. When we arrived back home we found it clean and tidy. The team at Very Important Pets are just wonderful. Nadia was absolutely fantastic and after our first meeting I felt immediately comfortable with leaving my cat in her hands. She is clearly experienced as a pet carer and absolutely adores animals of all sorts! Both she and the VIP team were communicative throughout the process and very flexible on dates given changes in my travel schedules. While I was away Nadia sent me regular updates and highlights with photos and playtime videos! I felt very relaxed during my vacation that my furry one was in good care and would absolutely recommend VIP!

I require a cat sitter for my two cats frequently. Have been lucky that my regular cat sitter has been available most times. Never had any issues with any of the sitters though and I know I can trust them to care for my cats during my absence. Sandy, my regular cat sitter is awesome, she makes sure that I get home after my trip as planned so the cats are not unattended if something happens. My cats love her and she sends me regular photos of the cats while I am away.

I've found everyone who comes to look after our dog via VIP has been excellent. Alan McKeag looked after Milo last week and we found a very contented sleeping dog on our return after he'd had a lovely long walk with Alan. Alan is very reliable and usually available even at short notice. It is great to leave our dog knowing that he is going to be so capably looked after.

My local vet recommended Very Important Pets. I had to go away for 3 days and did not have anyone to feed my 12yr old cat - Angie. The registration process was easy and VIP found me a sitter in my area within a couple of days. I found their rates reasonable and using them meant that I did not have to leave Angie in a cattery. The sitter was friendly and reliable and I will certainly use VIP again and would recommend them.

She took the time to message us whilst we were away to let us know all was OK at home. This was the first time we used a dog sitting service and VIPs found a suitable dog sitter within a couple of days of contacting them. We met Debs a short while later for our initial meeting. She is clearly a very experienced dog sitter who quickly allayed my fears about leaving Spike with someone he hadn’t met before. When the time came to leave him, he happily went off with her and when I collected him, it was obvious he had had a great time in her care. I would definitely recommend both VIPs and Debs.

Vanessa at Very Important Pets always takes excellent care of my geriatric cat, who now has a host of chronic illnesses making me worry about leaving her alone. Fortunately Vanessa is a fully qualified vet nurse so she knows how to administer insulin injections and get stroppy cats to take tablets and eye drops! I always get a sweet update with them having a cuddle before she leaves Daisy at the end of the visit. Could'n't be more impressed and reassured that my pet is in good hands when I'm away.

Louise and her team have been looking after my cats for the last 12 years and I couldn’t recommend them more highly. My cats are always happy and relaxed when we get home after being away; one particular time while we were away, we had the glass in our front door smashed and Louise, without being asked, got it boarded up and made secure until we were able to get the glass replaced on our return. This is what you get - first class service for both pets and their owners.

Very Important Pets has been a god send after our pet sitter let us down two weeks before our long awaited holiday! They were so easy to use and took care of absolutely everything. We had a wonderful lady called Ali visit our home for an hour a day while we were away. Our two Ginger cats were well looked after and we were kept up to date with their antics! We came home to a very clean house and two very happy kitties! We will definitely be using the service in the future and couldn’t recommend it more!

I am so glad I found this service - they have never let me down, even when I made last-minute requests during busy holiday periods they have managed to find me a reliable sitter to watch our cat. In previous years, I always had to take two extra days holiday, so that I could drive my cat half an hour to a kennel, and then pick him up at the end of the holiday, trying to time our flights to coincide with the opening times of the kennels. Now my cat stays in the comfort of his own home instead of a cage, and he is there to greet us when we get back. VIP tries to provide us with the same sitter whenever possible, which has been Gina over the last two years, so that our cat is familiar with her and we can enjoy our holiday knowing he is in good hands. Gina sends updates every few days, which is just enough to keep us comforted but not so often as to be intrusive. I have been using VIP for five years and will absolutely continue to do so!
