Johanne makes sure that before you make a commitment to take one of her pups that you have thought through how a dog will fit into your life for the lifetime of your dog. We spent a long time looking for a breeder who not only had the right dog for us, but also promoted and demonstrated the values and ethics of someone who really cares about her dogs and clients. Johanne was always attentive to our questions before getting our pup. On the lead up to choosing day we were able to watch the pups grow and play on her puppy cams. On choosing day Johanne welcomed us into her home, a great environment to welcome pups into the world, and helped us to have a really memorable day as a family. Since bringing our puppy home, Johanne and her private Facebook group for Northbound owners has been a priceless hub of support and guidance. Barney is just coming up for 2years old. He is the most loving dog. He gets on with other dogs and people. Everyone who meets him comments on his, colour, his coat and how friendly he is. However it’s not all plain sailing he has the mischievous streak! Dealing with Johanne from the first time we met her has been a joy and a pleasure. Her dogs are a result of the time and devotion she gives them from the moment they are born to the time they go to their homes. Her attention does not end there. She is at the end of the phone 24/7 for any questions no matter how trivial they may seem. For anyone looking for an Australian Labradoodle, look no further but do expect to be very carefully vetted, it is a privilege to own one of her dogs!

I can't recommend northbound Labradoodles highly enough. From the offset I felt positive Johanne was the correct breeder for us. We're new puppy owners and Johanne has literally held our hands through the lead up to taking our puppy home. She is straight talking and to the point, a no nonsense breeder who you know you can trust. I visited her and she had 10 dogs in her house and you'd not know there was 1. They were so well behaved and full of good manners a true testimount to the puppies she raises.

We had dreamt about getting a dog for years, but we were not in the position to because of our jobs. In March 2020 on returning from a sabbatical we decided that now was the time. I wanted a labradoodle. My sister had had 2 lovely labradoodles in NZ so decided that this was the breed for us. I joined the Facebook group - Labradoodle Club UK - and started looking for breeders. Johanne really stood out because of her directness and her passion for her dogs. That's how we ended up with Sydney our ALD. I chose the breeder which was the most important aspect to me after hearing all the horror stories about disreputable breeders. Johanne vetted us and made sure we were right for her dogs; I can imagine that some don’t make it past the first interview . The preparation Johanne gives to her puppy owners, from the moment you engage through to post getting your puppy is amazing. She is there and will give you her advice and opinion on anything you need support with afterwards. 9 months later i occasionally contact Johanne for her advice when we hit a problem - which as first time puppy owners - we need advice with. She has always come back to me. I also love her Facebook Group for owners. Everyone is so helpful and it's a great resource. I feel lucky that we found her and would not hesitate to recommend.
