We started off using the kennels for day care and then some overnight stays. My dog absolutely loves it and all the staff there. We struggled with our boy pulling and Eve with her knowledge and experience gave us some ideas and got us booked in to 1-1 training and classes. Steve is an excellent trainer with a wealth of knowledge. Our boy has come on massively in just 6 weeks. Thank you!!

Started taking my dog training at Crossroads nearly a year ago, Steve is great and has given me the confidence to train my dog, with fantastic support and always ready with advice when we’re having an off day, really couldn’t ask for more. Both our dogs have just stayed in the kennels for a weekend again nothing to much trouble, no problem in getting an update on how they were as it was their first time in kennels, fantastic team all round. Will never go anywhere else as I know that whatever we are doing be it training or kennels both me and the dogs are in safe hands

I was looking for puppy classes that worked around my working life, as I work shifts and couldn’t commit to the normal 6 weekly courses that most trainers offered. Steve allowed for my shift pattern and understood that some Saturdays I couldn’t make it. These classes are weekly and you can go for as long as it takes, so much better than paying for a course upfront and you pay as you go. My girl is now 1 yr old and I am struggling to make the classes due to work commitments, however I’d just like to say that the classes have paid off. My girl walks perfectly on a lead both loose lead and to heal. She can walk along side other dogs, calmly and Politely. She can play with dogs and also, ignore dogs and walk past them without a crazy reaction. She is brilliant at sitting and waiting while I chat to other dog walkers, so much so that I get compliments about how well behaved she is. We went to a dog show recently and she sat and watched to dogs, on the side line perfectly, ignored dogs that approached and those that were reactively barking. Which I’m told is amazing ‘considering she is a terrier’. During my puppy classes, sometimes I felt that I was not getting anywhere, but Steve shares jokes and experiences that allowed me to understand that we all go through the ups and downs of puppy life. We laughed a lot and it was a very enjoyable experience, so I’m glad I didn’t give in to my uncomfortable feelings of failing. Just having the chance to practice training techniques, with other dogs around, was well worth it. Also Steve would set up training that included distractions, to the dogs, that mimic real life situations that were brilliant. I can recall my dog, when other dogs are off lead, near to us and people are around. I recommend these classes to other dog walkers, if they ask me and highly recommend to anyone who wants a polite, well mannered woofer. The cost of classes is extremely reasonable also. Our dog Ted went at a point where we were desperate. We collected Ted a month later and he was a different dog. Calm to greet, engaged and enthusiastic about working with us. The handover was thorough and a real confidence boost. We got Ted home and he remained settled and continued working with us on his learning journey. Crossroads puppy training and kennels are an amazing family run business. The training, support and help that we have had from Steve is second to none I can’t thank him enough! He really does have your puppies best interest at heart and as first time puppy owners has been an absolute god send ! We also use Crossroads for day care and overnight stays and the staff are all so welcoming, lovely and genuinely interested in providing the best environment and enrichment for your pup I can’t recommend them enough. Crossroads Hydrotherapy Pool. Steve and Ellie are lovely and welcoming. They explain everything that's going on and why they are doing things. There are underwater cameras in the pool to get a view of how your dog is swimming too! My dog (12yo staffie) loves them, and has greatly improved since having her sessions.

Every Sunday I take my little old lady pooch to see Steve at the hydrotherapy pool for a swim. I wouldn't miss a session. She loves it. She's always pleased to see Steve and toddles in tail wagging. He is great with her, always caring and encouraging. We love watching her swim, and chatting to him too. A great hour out for all of us! Would definitely recommend.

When we first took our shepherd puppy to Crossroads, she was nervous, head-strong, ignored commands, but most concerningly was demonstrating some worrying fear aggression. Steve has been working with us for a few months now and I can honestly say she is not the same dog! She is calm, well behaved and obedient, well trained, and far better around strangers. Without Steve's help I dread to think where we would have ended up; certainly a long long way away from where we are today. I highly reccomend Steve to all dog owners, even if you don't have problems, as there are always things you can improve. Steve has been calm, patient, understanding and a true gentleman throughout. We have been using the kennels for the past year and have to say that the team and the facilities are outstanding. From there warm welcome, to going through all the mandatory documents to make sure he gets the care needed to have a little impact on his daily routine. Having the option of being able to have extended walks is a great option, along with artificial grass means no matter what the weather he still gets his walks without getting covered in mud, along with having daily brushes and being weighted means that his health is monitored during his stay. The kennels themselves are extremely impressive, with the high security in place and high hygienic standards which they uphold. We throughly would recommend Crossroad for any pooch needing a stay.

We have been having taking our elderly dog that has arthritic legs for hydrotherapy sessions in the pool and it has been great. The facilities and the staff are superb, assessing the needs of each animal as not all dogs (like ours) are good swimmers. Within two sessions our dog was happy getting in the water to chase a ball and the mobility of his legs was much improved.

Steve and his team are amazing! I have no worries about my German shepherd stayinh with them when we have to go away for a few days/week. He LOVES it so much he can't get in to the reception fast enough! They look after him exceptionally well it's like a holiday for him too. Highly recommend!

My dog is very nervous of new people, but he has been to Crossroads to stay in the kennels twice now and he is quite at home there. The staff just seem to be so good with him, I was shocked at how well he accepted them. Our dog stayed once two years ago and seemed pretty relaxed and happy. I think. They looked after him well. He is staying again this December . They are very strict at needing worming and flea treatment proof as well as microchip proof in addition to the usual vaccination certificates

Dog attends training classes here which is very good. Steve is very helpful and experienced trainer who helps achieve results and will be honest with you. Also an affordable price on a pay as you attend understanding, therefore no large sums of money or irritance over lost money if you miss a session. Dog kennels are very clean and practible for use. Recently invested in new modern kennels, would certainly use them for our dog when the time comes.

We have been using Crossroads Kennels and Cattery for many years and they have always been good, however since new ownership in 2007, the business is now in a league of its own and we would trust our family pets with no one else. Special requests for administering medication, dealing with fussy eaters and even grooming scruffy Persians have all been happily dealt with. Our pooch goes off without a backward glance and a waggy tail and certainly seems to enjoy her holidays! We hope this excellent team continue to thrive for our ( and our animals ) convenience for many years to come. We have suggested them to friends who have been equally delighted and we honestly can't recommend them highly enough.

Our Westie has stayed at Crossroads at least 5 or 6 times now. We have never had a problem. Milly settles in at the kennels and when we pick her up it's as if she has been on holiday. It is a modern very clean set up. They are inspected by defra.

We left our dog here for two weeks and although he appeared to have been fed well, groomed and given exercise when we got in the car we noticed a very strong smell of urine coming from his entire coat which then permeated into our clothes and the car to the extent that we had to go straight home and wash him, ourselves and the inside of the car. So on reflection we don't feel we would be using their services again.

My dog Archie has been going there regularly since he was a puppy he is now 6years old he is well looked after and the kennels are very impressive. I won't say he loves it there but I have to do the best I can for him as I travel quite often
