Well, I just dropped my labrador here for 9 days because I am going abroad and the prices are not to bad for 9 days it's around £290 but if you want the staff ( Which is very kind and friendly ) to take your dog/dogs out of walks you can pay extra for the amount of dogs you are leaving. You can also leave them their food and also treats, bed etc. I really recommend. Over All I love it.

The most fantastic experience I have ever had with a kennel. My Border Collie Dylan absolutely loves staying. The team are a credit and always professional and always so friendly. I was let down last minute and the team went above and beyond to fit my dog in. I will always be so thankful. Highly recommend ❣️

Amazing staff , choice of foods, reception area excellent. Pup's first time and was a very happy pup there, while we were paying and chatting in reception, our Pup Max stretched out relaxed on the floor. Not headed for the door to get out of there, that says it all. Highly recommend Penylan country lodge 100%.

Fantastic Kennels! Staff are very friendly and professional. Arlo, my gorgeous pup, has been going for a few months and has developed great confidence through attending puppy play sessions. Being a first time dog owner, I really appreciate having the opportunity to speak with highly trained staff who are always happy to help with any of my worries regarding toilet training, behaviour, diet and grooming. The facilities are wonderful and dogs are provided with great care and attention.

I have sent my cat Mili numerous times and the service and staff are so professional. The staff are very caring and when I would ask in regards to how Mili was doing the staff were also polite and friendly. I would defiantly recommend!

Great place for you fur babies, puppy play date is a hit and the day is loaded with lots of games on a big enclosed field which allows them to run around and you are guaranteed your babies coming home tired. What sold me to book for the second play and many more is the the fact that they bath them before coming home and they smell so lovely. Well done for the fantastic job you do Penylan team 👏🏼

Brilliant, my dogs are happy and healthy when they come home. Drive pass 6/7 kennels as it’s out the way but are the best by far.

Absolutely an amazing place, I can't praise them enough. Took my kitten in during a very trying time for me, I would recommend them to anyone, the care that she received was first class and the care they gave to me was exceptional, I just cannot thank them enough xx however after her last visit she been totally unsettled and scared of everything for weeks, something happened that I have not been told about,

Our dog stayed for one night because we are leaving her for a week in the summer at Penylan...we wanted our dog to try it. We have never left our dog in the house for even 5 mins and only left her at our house when we have holidayed abroad. I was in such a state worrying about her but she loved it! My daughter called to see how she was and was given an update. She came home very happy. The premises was clean and the staff were fantastic. We were very happy with Penylan and will be using them again 😁

My two very precious Schnoodles are 6 and have never been in kennels before. We had offers of people to look after them but I took the view that if they went into kennels they would absolutely be safe. We researched and visited and decided that despite living in Cardiff, Penylan Country Lodge was the best. Beautiful grounds, nice kennels, not at all bleak. I am a little crazy about my dogs so took my own food, treats, cushions, rugs and toys and paid for daily 40 min additional walks. We collected our boys today. They were absolutely fine whilst we were away and happy and healthy. This is a very well run establishment. The girls we met were all lovely and committed to the care of the animals. I had an absolute meltdown about leaving them, and wanted to share my experience to help others.

First time my lab stayed there. I know they were attentive to him because they knew he wouldn't go to the toilet in the kennel. They took him out of the kennel specially so he could go on the grass. Very clean kennels and the best that I have seen. Will definitely use Penylan again.

I try to get my dog in to Penylan Country Lodge when ever we go away on holidays or a long weekend where dogs are not allowed. The staff are brilliant and you never get the feeling you leaving your pet in a run down Kennel as you sometimes here of. They also offer a 45min dog walking service (at an extra cost) to, to give you peace of mind that they're getting a good walk whilst your away. Prices are reasonable and I would advise that you book well in advance before you go away as they get extremely busy at peak times of the year, which is a testiment to how good and well liked they are. Our dog also goes here for a groom every couple of months which is also very reasonably priced.

Best kennels ever, the only place dog doesn't cry at having to go to. She's always a happy pup after a stay with Penylan. Staff are friendly and helpful, if you want a tour you see the real kennel not a few cleaned show kennels like some places. Loads of field space great for dogs to exercise and play, and you can opt for additional walkies in the local woods if you feel like pack playtime won't be enough. The groomers do fantastic jobs and my dog always smells and feels so lush after a visit. Couldn't wish for a better place

Have used penylan lodge now for three yrs and would highly recommend. Dog always comes home well looked after and a few extra pounds each time so enjoys the food .friendly staff and clean Kennels,book in advance as very popular.

This is a wonderful Kennels and Cattery. For years our two westies have gone there for their holidays whilst we enjoy our hols knowing they are safe and well looked after. Without exception the staff are all very friendly, helpful and most importantly caring of their visitors. I would highly recommend Penylan Country Lodge.

We're pretty picky about the Kennels that we use. Our dog is a bit nervous and she loves company, although she can be scared of new people. She always runs off with the staff here without a backwards glance. We used to live a short distance away on the other side of the bridge, we've now moved further south into Somerset and we still keep going back. It's worth it for the peace of mind that she's in great care.

Excellent boarding kennels, we have been taking our dogs here for several years, when we pick up the dogs you can tell that they have been really looked after and cared for. Cannot recommend highly enough.

It is an excellent place to Kennel your animal. Only thing against the Lodge is they changed the rules to what I consider to be unfair. You used to be able to pick your dog up before 1pm and would not be charged for that day. Now you get charged for that day and your not using the facilities, I think that is unfair especially as we supply our own dog food for Bonnies stay, so they do not even have that cost. Hence the point deduction. We have booked in for this year but they will have to feed her from now on. It would be fair to charge a half day as that is all they are providing.

Freddie is a miniature schnauzer who's now 13,5 years old. It was always at Penylan Country Lodge safe and happy as in holiday. He's on medication and the personal is doing a wonderful job always! He's coming back with good routine and health. Very clean and professional. A big thank you for 5* service!

Our elderly dalmation hated kennels and would always come out much skinnier than she went in. The first time we picked her up from Penylan after a stay, she welcomed us in her usual bonkers way :) A member of staff entered the reception shortly after she was returned to us and our dog welcomed her just as enthusiastically. She hadn't lost any weight, her coat was in excellent condition, she was full of life and had clearly been looked after wonderfully by the staff. I would heartilly recommend Penylan to everyone.

We have used Pen y Lan from their very earliest days - some 20+ years. The whole team are absolutely 5*. They are animal lovers themselves and are passionate about looking after both dogs and cats. If Pen y Lan are not able to book us in - we change our holiday arrangements! That is the strength of our belief.
