Excellent. The perfect place for your dog to go on holiday when you go on holiday. We left our English Bulldog Wilma with Neil and just knew that this amazing place was gonna be good for her. Immediately on entry to the premises, Wilma was off lead and allowed to get familiar with her new surroundings. The grounds are secure with 24 hour surveillance and consist of large play areas and private woodland walks. The rooms are 5* hotel rooms for dogs with a chandelier, laminate flooring, a large, comfy memory foam framed bed and tv with Netflix. The rooms also have a surveillance camera connected to Neil’s phone to keep a check when they are not out and about. And the thing that i really liked was that all of the residents were allowed to mingle as a pack which is a natural thing for dogs to do. We could go away knowing that Wilma was in safe, professional hands. Neil and his team do a fantastic job.

Anyone with fur babies will know how hard it is to find somewhere you feel comfortable leaving them. The accommodation and grounds at Barton Lodge are amazing. Neil and the staff do a great job and send you updates everyday. Have to say our fur baby loved having the freedom to run round the grounds and being with other dogs. Would recommend to anyone who loves their dog.

I can't praise Barton Lodge enough. Neil and the staff are incredible. This was our first time leaving our 2 dogs for an extended period of time and after a bad experience at another kennels I was more nervous than ever about leaving them. One of my dogs is a rescue and has always been nervous of new people and other dogs and the other has always reacted badly to changes in his routine. Within literally minutes of getting to Barton Lodge both were busy exploring the grounds and not bothered one bit by me leaving. The suites are lovely and clean, spacious and the staff cater to your pet's every need. The daily updates mean you can fully enjoy your holiday safe in the knowledge that your dogs are having the time of their lives as well. I would recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back (in fact we are now looking into booking another trip away knowing how much they both enjoyed it!). Fabulous from start to finish.

Kitzi has just come home from her first stay alongside her cousin Bailey and she’s so fantastic , confidant and full of energy. As an older dog she hasn’t been left in kennels since a pup and Neil and his fabulous team really looked after her. This is not a normal dog stay , it is a hotel for dogs , they are off lead , able to mix together in the pack and enjoy being dogs. The videos that Neil and his team send whilst you are away are so reassuring and wonderful to watch . I couldn’t recommend Neil and his team highly enough , Thankyou so much !

I have nothing but praise and thanks for Barton Lodge Luxury Pet Hotel. I have a Lab and a dachshund both pampered pets and the families babies. After putting my lab into kennels about 7 years ago, I vowed never to do it again. He was a different dog when I picked him up, scared and upset. I was so apprehensive about leaving them after the experience before. I need not have worried. From the moment we got there, Neil and his team made them feel welcome and loved. Definitely a home from home environment. I have updates everyday with film of them both enjoying life and playing in the vast grounds. I have them booked in again already and would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you so much Neil and team, you are total legends. My two are looking forward to there next holiday!!!

We've had our beautiful Bernese Akiko for 2 years now and this was the first time we left her alone for a full day. Our nerves were settled from the moment we saw the owner of the hotel had 2 gorgeous Berners of their own! The owner made us all feel very welcome and gave us a tour of the wonderful grounds, complete with lots of other friendly dogs playing off-lead and coming over to say hello! Akiko was clearly spoiled, keeping the owner company in his office, being taken on 4 walks and enjoying lots of tasty peanut butter cookies! We were kept updated with videos of our girl having the best time without us! She clearly loved her luxury hotel stay and we would have no second thoughts of booking her in again if we were to go away for a few days.

If you want peace of mind & your dog to have the very best holiday, look no further than Neil & his incredible team at Barton Lodge. I have 2 dogs & a very over-protective wife who worries sick whenever the dogs are out of her sight so it was really important we found somewhere where we felt comfortable leaving them. From start to finish Neil put us at ease, we had a tour of the grounds & we were able to see where the dogs would sleep & he went through in detail what their routine would be.. Faultless!! The little videos we got sent daily were a god send & reassured us our dogs were in the best possible hands. I think our dogs are looking forward to their next holiday more than we are. We can’t thank Barton Lodge enough for looking after our little cockapoo Sherlock. We were a bit anxious about leaving him as he hasn’t been left since we adopted him and has separation anxiety but straight away I knew that he was in the best possible hands. Neil and Ellie treated him like their own, I’ve never seen him so happy and affectionate with any other people apart from us, so that just shows how much Sherlock trusted them and how great they were with him. From start to finish Neil put us at ease, we had a tour of the grounds and we were able to see where the dogs would sleep (the rooms are amazing!) I always looked forward to the daily videos and updates, it was so reassuring to see Sherlock happy and running around with other dogs, it helped us to relax and enjoy our holiday knowing he was having fun. We have just collected our two border terriers Perry and Betty. What a wonderful time they have had! Luxury suite, walking, running, playing in fabulous grounds. They've made many canine friends whom I'm sure they are going to miss. We very much looked forward to receiving their daily videos. As Perry and Betty both have serious health issues it was so good to know that we had left them in very capable hands. Neil is so knowledgeable and in tune with the dogs in his care. It's obvious that he loves each and everyone of them. We will certainly be recommending the hotel to family and friends. Thank you Neil.

We have booked our dog Loki for a week in May here and we were not disappointed. The dog suites are lovely and he got plenty of exercise and playtime with other dogs. We were quite anxious because it was the first time we left our dog but Neil sent us regular updates and videos. Loki had a great time and we were confident he was in good hands. The grounds are beautiful and have plenty of space for dogs to run. We would definitely recommend this pet hotel. Neil is really professional and dogs just love him. Happy customers!

If it’s piece of mind you are after whilst on holiday, do not look any further. We left our two pugs with Neil & his team during our 2 week holiday. We had daily updates from them & it was evident they were having a great time. They were most definitely “Barton lodge sick” during their first day home 😂 We have re booked for May 22 but this time for three pugs! Would not leave them anywhere else. Worth every penny!!! Our lovely little cocker spaniel George stayed here whilst we were on hols in Mallorca for 10 days. It was the first time he’d been away from us so we were quite anxious to leave him outside of our care for a long period, but after seeing Barton Lodge reviews and their social media pages/website we were sure it was going to be an excellent option. We received lots of photos and videos from Neil on WhatsApp during his stay which makes you feel so at ease. It was lovely to watch him walking in the grounds and playing so nicely with the other dogs. The little bedrooms they get to sleep in are also fab. So professional and you can tell Neil and the team love what they do! Dogs are treated like their own! George has been an angel since arriving home so you’ve definitely done a great job 😂🤪😉 thank you for looking after him and we will see you again! ❤️

As a Dog Trainer and Holder of my own 5 star home boarding licence... I am very picky where my dogs go .... and because of covid this was Bliss's first vacation without me ... so I was being extra careful for my Sensitive little spaniel. What a great experience for her and under excellent guidance enabling her to build her confidence in a new place... while Rebel just took to it like a duck to water .... We have used Barton Lodge for the past couple of years for our 7 year old Ridgeback, and recently had a big 3 week trip away to visit family where we had to leave our boy there over Christmas. I knew he would be in safe hands, and I can honestly say I feel 100% confident leaving him at Barton Lodge. Neil is very understanding of a dog's individual needs - i.e he knows our boy is a lazy old pooch and needs a bit of persuasion to get out! And the regular updates are also so reassuring. Our boy got a bit sick on his last stay, but Neil and his highly trained staff got him the right medication quickly, and he was right as rain in a couple of days. I wouldn't trust anywhere else with my dog and am so glad we have found Barton Lodge.

Fabulous pet hotel. Highly recommended. Our 22 month collie, Mac, stayed here for a week - best decision we made for him where he was well looked after, exercised and fussed over. Daily video updates of playtimes and exercise and real time snapshots of him in his luxury bed, resting and watching movies in his own room. Neil (owner) is completely dedicated to this business and looks after each dog as if they were his own. Will definitely use Barton Lodge again. You really can leave your family dog here and leave them with no worries or concerns. Your dog won’t miss you as much as you miss them!!

Absolutely outstanding! Neil treated our dogs like his own. Gave loads of cuddles and treats. Updated us whilst we were away with pictures and videos of our fur babies. Neil is such a friendly, kind and warm person and we wouldn’t consider leaving our pups anywhere else. Chandeliers, flat screen Tv’s, CCTV and luxury cots in each room. Our dogs are literally in 5 star accommodation and enjoy their holiday as much as we enjoy ours. If you want to go away without worrying about your dog/dogs then Barton Lodge Luxury Pet Hotel is the place to use. This is the second time we’ve used this place since getting our dogs a year ago and we are so pleased we found this treasure 🤗

My two ridgeback girls have returned from their first stay at Barton Lodge. They have been there for 9 days. I visited Barton Lodge as I had not been happy with previous boarding kennels and I just knew my dogs were not ‘right’ when collecting them (nothing wrong with the previous boarding, but was typical in how it runs, short exercise runs, lots of kennel time, very specific drop off and collection times etc). So I would spend much of my time away worrying about them. My youngest has a few health issues that have to be managed. Had a great first visit with Neil, who made me and the girls welcome, gave us a tour and answered any questions I had. Turned up a little early for drop off, at Neil’s suggestion, so I could have 20-30 minutes while they acclimatised a little. Neil kept me updated everyday with messages and little videos (he does ask how much contact you want while your away). The girls made lots of new dog friends and after picking them up yesterday I saw what a difference it made, happy, healthy (bit excited 😆). Even got a full pet report when I collected them...what a great touch. Fantastic place! Highly Recommend! I have been renting out the field for puppy classes throughout the summer and Neil has been excellent and accommodating throughout! The puppies have loved it plenty of space and a great environment for training! We have loved doing puppy classes here and hope to put more on in the future! Thank you Neil!

Loki ( Giant schnauzer) & Hudson (Hungarian Viszla) both youngest and very lively dogs went to stay with Neil and the other dogs and they had the best time away on there first hoilday, all ready booked in for some more visits they have loved every minute running around the amazing grounds with there new friends and Neil who looks after there every need. we received daily updates pictues and videos which was lovely to see them looking so happy . Where do I begin? If you want to leave your beloved pet somewhere home from home, where they get the best care possible and the freedom to roam around the amazing grounds at Barton Lodge, where cuddles and treats are on tap then look no further....we have just collected our Blue Staff Grayson after 10 days away for our honeymoon. We left a one year old highly charged bouncy boy full of energy and came back to the most chilled out pooch on the planet. He hung on Neil’s every word which highlighted just the bond they had developed within this time. The one to one time he received in the freedom field was priceless and the dedication shown by Neil, his training and expertise...you would have thought he was the only dog there. Regular videos and seeing him bouncing around with other dogs gave us piece of mind throughout and there are truly no words to describe how amazing Neil and his wonderful set up is. Wow! I can't rate Neil and his pet hotel enough. Neil is super friendly and my two dogs love him. I could see their affection for him when we collected them. He even won over my nervous and sometimes aggressive Lhasa Apso. The accommodation is so cosy and comfortable and the grounds in which they are walked are fabulous. I can unreservedly recommend using Barton Lodge Pet Hotel to anyone who is looking for somewhere for their lovely pup to stay. My GSD, Kora, and I went to have a look around and I immediately booked her in for a two week stay while I was on holiday. From that initial visit, to the report I received when Kora came home and even checking that we'd re-settled after her trip, nothing was overlooked. The grounds are perfect for dogs with so much to explore and all within a very safe and secure setting. Every aspect was beyond my (already high) expectations. It was obvious when I collected her how well cared for she was, how at home she felt and what a brilliant experience it had been. Each stay is tailored to suit your needs, Kora was even able to keep up with her training so she came back better behaved than ever. She had her own room, bed, and courtyard while surrounded by her own toys. Barton Lodge is a loving, stimulating environment and worth every penny. I didn't worry for a second about leaving Kora there and I know she had a wonderful time. Not sure who is looking forward to my next holiday more, me or Kora!

Arranged for a2 night stay for my dogs 1st stay in kennels. I asked if there were any problems to let me know and we would collect her. I hadn't heard any complaints regarding her stay, just video of her enjoying her herself with the other dogs. On collection Neil said she was a nightmare. Apparently she threw her water all over her kennel but was assured that would not be a problem before her stay as there was drainage on the floor.She also chewed some of her bed and he couldn't get her in her kennel at night, hurting his hand in the process. Felt sick in the stomach. i offered to pay for any damage. The worst thing about this was all this was said in front of some women who had brought her dog for boarding. on leaving the room her dog lunged at me viciously.

A wonderful place for doggies, Neil and team are truly brilliant and were great with my rescue dog who can be quite the handful if not with the right people. I was so nervous leaving him for the first time, they put me at ease with regular updates and he had an amazing time. Top notch, would highly recommend!

Well I turned up on the spare of the moment to have a good look round to make sure it was where i wanted my fur babies to stay.😱 We were welcomed into the lodge to have a guided tour with Neil (although he didn’t know we were coming he just took it in his stride) lol. First we went to see All the pet accommodation , Which were all clean and inviting with beds, tv , heating and a live security camera, that led onto a outside space through a dog flap. We then did a tour of the grounds with Neil’s dogs and a guess dog they were all well behaved and lovely while walking Neil explained to us how things work what happens ie walking playing the loves etc the things we all do with our dogs, after about half hour of the tour Neil made us a cup of tea and we chatted ha ha for about another half hour we were not rushed or hurried, all questions and concerns were answered. I left quite happy with BartonPetHotel to look after my two, hence I have booked for them to stay yeeee😄 we are going on our summer holiday including Edith and Gracie . Sam x

Amazing place - Niel was so welcoming and amazing with our nervous pup who made herself welcome on the sofa in his office. The freedom field was a perfect set up for training recall and allowing her to roam around without her being able to go to far. It is a Wonderful place ,our 13 year old female jack russell is awkward at the best of times but she settled in straight away, and everyone we met was lovely .
