I was so lucky to be given Emma's name by a friend, as she made my life as a first time puppy owner so much easier. From the very beginning, providing guidance on how to manage my puppy's first night at home, to puppy classes, puppy improver and also 1:1 training. She gave me the confidence to realise I was doing OK, that Charlie was doing really well and more importantly was happy. I cannot recommend Emma enough to anyone with a new puppy or having issues with an older dog. Don't wait, call her now!

Emma and So help me dog have been invaluable to us and our mini puppy throughout lockdown. We had zoom lessons as we were unable to meet and invariably went over our time as Emma was so keen to make sure she’d answered all our questions. She is a lovely lady and and dog that has her as an owner is very lucky indeed. Our puppy had a great start to her training and we would definitely recommend Emma to other puppy parents

Emma was introduced to us during a vet consult & a 6-week puppy course was without doubt the best decision we made in the early days as new Labrador parents.
Emma was a brilliant listener, and her ability to listen and understand then apply her impeccable knowledge of dog behaviour and training was unbelievably effective.
I wouldn’t think twice about using her services again in the future as the value that she delivers is transformational. We adore our dog but he wouldn’t be half the dog he is without her help.

Emma is an excellent dog trainer and behavioural therapist. There are so many dog owners out there that would benefit from a few sessions with Emma to build a better relationship and obedience with their dog.
Too many people have got dogs as pets, yet dont fully understand how to live with one let alone control one.
Puppy training or even training for older dogs with Emma will give you the kind of control and good behaviour you see that others have and you can only wish for.
Emma has always been a pleasure to meet and she is wonderful with Meg, a rescue that was set to be destroyed for savage behaviour and is now a model, lovable and safe family pet.

My dog and I have attended Emma’s group puppy improver classes as well as having some private sessions. In whatever environment and during all activities, Emma makes you feel confident and in control. She is friendly, knowledgeable, professional and so encouraging - dogs adore her. She really is the dog whisperer!

We contacted Emma at So Help Me Dog at the end of 2020 for a 1 to 1 session with our adolescent pup. We initially contacted Emma for advice on how to stop lead pulling but ended up receiving so much more information which led to us having additional 1 to 1 sessions on other areas which we hadn’t initially thought about. We went into the initial session a bit apprehensive as we had had a previous experience with another trainer which we personally did not rate, and also were unsure how it would work over zoom due to the restrictions. However, we felt reassured after first speaking with Emma and each session has been fantastic (both over zoom and in person).
Emma explains things clearly and gives you so much to think about. She always follows up with an email summary with handouts attached which are so helpful when putting training into practice. Emma ensures that all of our questions are answered at the end of the session, even if we have overrun.
Emma dealt with us being unable to meet in person when we first started working with her very well, sending us videos of her training with her own dog, and we were able to send her videos of us with our dog and receive instant feedback and advice.
Emma is very approachable and patient and is quick in responding to messages. We have contacted her about other things which have come up outside of our sessions and she has always offered detailed advice. We have had 3 zoom sessions and 1 face to face so far but it feels like so much more from the amount of support we have received.
We are moving out of the area soon but have already told Emma that we would like to continue using her services and I am sure that we will be in touch soon for more 1 to 1 online sessions! We have already recommended Emma to friends who have gone on to book with her and would continue to recommend her to anyone with a dog! We only wish that we had found Emma sooner!

Our puppy LOVED Emma!
We engaged with Emma after hearing wonderful things on social media and though friends of friends. We were not disappointed. We purchased a ‘puppy’ pack set of 121 visits, first one was virtual and can honestly say that as new time puppy parents we had no clue, but Emma was brilliant at reassuring us and gently guiding us into better routines and was full of knowledge and hints and tips of what would make our puppies life happier.
With every home visit we felt more confident, our puppy actually listened to her and felt so comfortable around her. We saw huge improvements week on week and gave us the confidence to continue his training. We now have a puppy (who is no means perfect) but, he can sleep at a pub, he can sit outside a park, pretty good at recall and is generally a happy little chap with good manners. I’m sure without Emma this wouldn’t of happened. Thank you Emma and have no hesitation recommending you.

WOW. What a 5star service we received from
Emma.
When I messaged Emma preempting the purchase of a puppy & the need for a trainer,
Emma gave me a huge amount of information and guidance on breeders and what to look for/to avoid.
Once we had decided on a breeder and pup was home, we had 121 sessions with Emma and our puppy and it was just fantastic. Great communication throughout our training, always punctual and the quality of service she has provided has actually be invaluable to our family.
Woudl highly
Recommend & have recommended to others who were looking for.a trainer!!!

Lola was my first ever puppy and we got her during lockdown so face to face puppy training wasn’t possible. Emma delivered excellent zoom classes and I met the adorable Alfie every week on zoom. Emma’s classes provided me with skills to train Lola and I am now a very proud mummy of a well behaved and adorable labradoodle. Months later Emma helped me to understand what to expect when Lola had her first season. Thank you Emma for being brilliant and caring and professional 😊

As first time dog owners Emma was really helpful, training us more than our puppy! As a result of her one to one sessions, fact sheets and homework, we have a very happy and (mostly!) obedient dog we can be proud of.

Emma is first and foremost an excellent trainer; but more than that is kind, patient, reassuring and always positive.
I first approached Emma ahead of even choosing a puppy. Her advice at this stage was invaluable - meaning I asked breeders the right questions and was set up to succeed in the early days.
Noodle (cavapoo) attended puppy training via zoom, due to covid, and Emma navigated this medium brilliantly. We were given clear and easy to follow guidance, always supported with handouts (if your sleep deprived head couldn’t take it all in), and so many tips and tricks that meant we enjoyed our puppy from the get go. More than the lessons, Emma was also always available for a quick call or question, and always had a strategy to overcome a problem.
Despite moving house, Emma has remained my go-to. Noodle was struggling to adapt to a new house & environment (moving from a flat where you can’t see outside to a house with a garden and views and traffic is a pretty big change for a little pupper) and Emma confidently supported me; asking for videos, coming to visit and helping me solve the problem with practical, simple and insightful advice.
Her method is patient, kind and 💯 with your dog in mind. There is no forcing, no punishment, and focused on fun, reward and building a friendship with your dog.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Emma.

Recommended by our vet, Emma has been working with us and our 6 month old pup over the summer and has been just what we needed. The dog loves her! And she has brilliantly taken us step by step through a programme of training helping us to understand what is going on for him and develop strategies that help us get what we want from him. Her care, energy and enthusiasm is endless; we would absolutely recommend her.

I found Emma after many, many glowing recommendations from local Facebook groups, and I can see why! Emma is professional, knowledgeable and an absolute master of her craft. We are five sessions into her six session 1:1 puppy training course and it has been worth every single penny, I’ve already recommended her to other puppy owners I’ve met and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again! 🐾

Otto my Irish Terrier is my first dog and I had no clue! Emma was recommended by another trainer and I have been so happy with her training. My dog adores her, I have no idea how but he instantly listens to her. The support and training she has given me has been so helpful and made having a dog not feel so over whelming. I would recommend her to anyone looking for help or support or advice with a dog.

Emma is a fantastic dog trainer. Our dog Goose loved puppy classes with her. I would recommend her to anyone in need of a dog behaviourist- she really is fab.

Emma is a fantastic trainer with an obvious love and instinct towards dogs. She is very responsive and happy to answer questions even in between lessons offering a very supportive role in addition to training techniques and advise. She is really fun and full of energy and her training method often involves wonderful games to play together with your 4 legged friend. Her methods are kind and effective and I’m so glad she was recommended to me.

Emma is an extremely professional trainer and has a wealth of knowledge and understanding of dogs. She gave us so much help and was able to offer 1-2-1 training for our dog and helped us to understand our dog and her needs. We highly recommend so help me dog you couldn’t ask for better help and support in training your dog.

I bumped into Emma’s husband when he was walking their dog and I, mine. We had a lovely chat whilst our dogs chilled with each other and I said I was looking for a trainer and he gave me Emma’s card.
From day 1 I have been thoroughly impressed with not just Emma’s passion for what she does but the rapid progress that my dog (Copper) made. Copper is a pedigree boxer so was full of love but very high energy and would often struggle to calm down every time someone came in the house. The strategies that Emma gave me to use were outstanding and we’re still using them today - they work and we’re truly happy with how good Copper is now.
I booked 6 x sessions with her and they were worth every £. Not just for her personable approach over a coffee on arrival but her ability to take any difficulty we were having to come up with a brilliant (and workable) solution.
My husband is a fussy pain in the a**e and is very sceptical of people but he thinks Emma is awesome and was so impressed with what she did with Copper.
Although my sessions are done now I am still booked in for a one off session everyone now and again to follow up on other things that perhaps may have come up and am looking forward to seeing her later in this month.
If you’re looking for a dog trainer this is the one!!!
Thank you Emma for all your work with us and Copper. We look forward to seeing you on our next session.

I was struggling to know how to get to grips with an extremely feisty rescue puppy. Emma from So Help Me Dog gave me an excellent few one to one sessions along with her invaluable handbook. As long as I followed her advice, I found I made great headway. She certainly has a special way with dogs and understands how different dogs can be and that it’s not a ‘one size fits all’ approach that’s needed. Thank you So Help Me Dog!

Emma is friendly and professional, she really knows her stuff!! Emma has helped me with my dog immensely showing me ways of teaching her that I would never have thought of before. We’ve also had play dates with Emma’s own dog Alfie who totally puts my dog to shame! Thank you Emma and Alfie for being the best trainers 👏

Having owned dogs for many years, I found myself struggling with my new puppy. I came across Emma while she was walking her own dog and being envious of how well behaved her dog was, I stopped her and we got chatting. I’m glad I did - I went on to book several 121 training sessions with her and the difference she has made to our lives has been fantastic. She is immensely professional, friendly, helpful and her knowledge is second to none. I would happily recommend her.

Emma has been absolutely fabulous with our little dog and, as a first time pet owner, has helped me understand his behaviour. All the advice, games and tips she has shared have been invaluable. She is much loved by our pooch and we always look forward to her visits. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Emma for all your dog behaviour needs.
