Gracie had a great time. She mixed and played with the other dogs. No cages, plenty of space.

As another reviewer has said, I think it depends on your dog! My two love it down here; they get super-excited as soon as they recognize where we are, and can't get inside fast enough. Last I usually see of them is them dragging Richard to the door! When I pick them up, although they are delighted to see me, they really don't want to leave. You know your dogs have had a wonderful time when they whine and cry with their noses pressed up on the window when you drive away. It may not suit some dogs - or owners - but I think it is wonderful, and have no hesitation in leaving my mutts there. They get the chance to run and play and rough and tumble with other dogs, and do all the doggy things they often can't. So they sometimes come back a bit muddy?? So what!! I'm sure lots of people come back from doing things they enjoy wet and muddy. I often reckon they enjoy the break more than I enjoy mine! As for the owner being rude/uncooperative, I have NEVER found them to be so - if you are friendly and polite, so are they. Pricey?? Well, perhaps compared to other kennels in the area - but what price your dog's happiness? Mine I know would hate being confined to a run for most of the day - here they get the chance to do all the doggy things that make life such a joy - for a dog!!

Our Shitzu Poppy was a guest at the Dog Lodge while we went on holiday, Richard is always very accommodating with drop off and collection times, and I always fee that Poppy has a nice time while she's there. We feel confident that she's safe due to the fact that they are very particular about the dogs they will except. We have no reservations about using them in the future.

My Lucy has been staying at the Dog Lodge twice or three times a year for the last 5 years. Stays range from a couple of days to a fortnight and she loves it. She gets that excited wag and whine going as soon as we turn off the main road and she greets Richard the owner like a long lost friend every time. Lucy our German Shepherd is often filthy and knackered when we get her home, she has obviously had the time of her life there, running around with other dogs and had a better holiday than we do! lol.

Harry, our Jack Russel, adores his holidays at the dog lodge. The dogs aren't caged or restricted in kennels, they get the chance to run free in a big field and snuggle up together. We've been regular customers for nearly 7 years and highly recommend the dog lodge

We have used the Dog Lodge for the past 15 years for 5 of our dogs. They always look forward to going and settle back home as if they never left.

Richard the owner is such a lovely person.,he greets us on arrival and puts our minds at rest. Timmy is so well looked after and is always happy to spent time with Richard and his friends. It puts our mind at rest leaving him there. Thank you so much Richard.

I think its horses for courses some dogs love it there some are more suited to 'normal' kennels. My lab and beagle love it plenty of fresh air and exercise mixing with other furry friends its their idea of heaven
