Sent my shady for 2 weeks while we went on holiday. She came home and you could tell that she had been really looked after. They sent videos and pictures of her while we were away. I’ll definitely use them again and would recommend them too. Thank you!

I can not recommend Oaklea family run boarding kennels highly enough. I collected Bobby and Meg this morning from Oaklea, it was the first time we had used Oaklea so prior to dropping off Bobby and Meg I was apprehensive. Although we had already visited the kennels to inspect the kennels and facilities it is only when your pets are boarded there that you can truely tell if it is suitable for your families needs. My concerns and apprehensions disappeared within the first few days. Chealsea was sending photos and vidros of Bobby and Meg running in the paddocks, playing ball and chase like a pair of puppies not the nearly 10 yr old boarder collies that they are. We had photos of them eating. Sleeping having cuddle time and chill outs in the shade. Through a family emergency we had to ask if they could extend Bobby and Megs stay the immediate response from Oaklea was "you take care of your family and we will take care of Bobby and Meg, no worries just keep us updated". The extended stay was 25 days. A long time for any dogs to be in boarding kennels. However when we collected them this morning both Bobby and Meg were in tip top condition and in no rush to leave Oaklea they came bounding towards us happy as larks. They ran to Chealsea and her mum almost to say thanks, then jumped in the car all ready to come home. Oaklea prices are more than reasonable, their ethics are compassion and empathy for both boarders and owners. I highly recommend Oaklea and we will be using them again and again. Very knowledgeable, kind owners who clearly know a lot about dogs and dog behaviour. We were sent regular updates, photographs and videos. We have three large dogs, two which are a working breed and it was clear to us that they assessed them well and were able to deal with our youngest dog's exuberance!! Our three dogs have all enjoyed a stay over the past few weeks, going back in after just one week at home, it is a testament to the owners care that they ran to get back in!! We would definitely recommend this kennel to anyone who cares about their dog and wants to leave them in safe capable hands!

Dropped our two dogs off for the second time whilst we were on holiday. We picked them up a day earlier than expected and were made to feel that it was perfectly fine. My partner and I won’t take our dogs anywhere else in regards to kennels, very reasonably priced, and are well looked after. You can tell that the people involved with the business care very deeply for dogs, and our two very nervous dogs have taken to them straight away. Would recommend Oaklea to anyone and everyone!

My 4 month old German Shepherd just come back from staying at Oaklea Boarding Kennels & Cattery. It was our first time using a kennels and I would highly recommend. She was well looked after and it was a nice touch receiving pictures and videos. Staff seem really friendly.

Our two Jack Russell's Lily and Bella have just spent a week at Oaklea. They are not used to spending time away from us and can be a bit nervous in new surroundings. I needn't have worried though as they were well looked after and the photos and video that were sent to us during our holiday eased my fears. Lovely owners who are very knowledgeable, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Booked our Lurcher in for a long weekend at the last minute. It was our first time booking and we found the kennels on an online search. I left an enquiry message which was responded to quickly. Magnus was a little shy when he first got out of our car but happily went into the kennels. I called the next day to see how he was settling in and i was reassured he was being a good boy and getting along nicely there. When we picked Magnus up i could tell that he was happy to be around Chelsea and her mum and that they had spent a good amount of time with him for him to become so comfortable with them. He was happy and wagging his tail like mad around them. Magnus came home relaxed and clean, as were his bedding and toys. He was very tired when he got home which is a sign of a good kennels, i could tell that he had been exercised well and that they clearly spent time with him despite it being such a hot weekend. He's come back home being his usual happy crazy self and we have already booked him in for his next holiday with them. I think he will look forward to seeing them both again. It was the first time leaving our 5 month old kitten so we were very apprehensive, however we were warmly welcomed and reassured. Cleo settled in straight away, we were sent nice updates, photos and videos of her holiday at Oaklea, which is a lovely touch. We will be definitely using Oaklea for our next holiday and would recommend it to family and friends.

Excellent service. These guys go the extra mile, even taking our dog to the vets for injections when he was unwell and we were on holiday. They treat the dogs like they were their own. Its great to know you are leaving your pet in very capable hands.
