We’ve done some 121 sessions (virtual and face 2 face) with Neal and they’ve been brilliant. He’s really listened to what we needed help with and given us some really valuable advice & training tips. Thanks to him our pup is now comfortable sleeping in her crate and we’ve started some work on lose lead walking. Would highly recommend!

Louise and Neal offer a highly professional yet very personable service. Humphrey the cockapoo and I have now done several classes with Surrey & South London Dog Training and Behaviour, and have had brilliant experience of each! From puppy class, through intermediate class, through Superdogs and most recently UK Sniffer Dogs bronze level, we’ve both learnt so much! Louise, Neal and Adele are awesome trainers - so patient and encouraging, and super-knowledgable. I would have no hesitation in recommending their classes and 121s to everyone!

I cannot recommend Louise’s calm and controlled class enough. I have a very excitable goldendoodle so a lot of the training I had done with him would go out the window when he saw another dog he wanted to play with (basically any dog) so I signed up to allow him to learn to be calm around other dogs… boy did I get more than I bargained for! Not only can he be calm around other dogs but he can actually focus on me as well! In class, we were able to practice all the important commands and skills such as leash walking, stay, come, watch me and lots of impulse control activities. I think the best command we learnt was the emergency stop- a literal life saver! I think the proof is in the pudding with these classes. The pudding being that after only a few sessions Kevin, off lead, surrounded by 8 other dogs on the field (one of whom he was friends with) managed to lie down and stay whilst I ran away down a hill, hid behind a tree, skipped in circles around him and finally threw a whole packet of liver treats back and forth in front of him. The whole thing lasting a few minutes. My mind was blown! This would have been impossible without Louise and the calm and controlled classes; he would’ve been off to the other dogs the minute I dropped the leash. Kev and I are very excited to come back to calm and controlled in the future to build reliability with his training, Kevin is especially excited for more recall tornado now that he can find the treats!

I would highly recommend SSLDTB to anyone with a new puppy, especially anyone who perhaps underestimated how much work it can be in the beginning. The training and techniques explained and demonstrated by our trainer Louise have really helped us as owners to understand our pups behaviour and to respond and act accordingly. We had a 90 minute online session last weekend with Neal for our puppy who is almost 7 months old. He gave us some really good advice around nutrition and also showed us some clips of how to change a certain behaviour we wanted to improve. In a week we have seen some amazing results. We're really impressed and so pleased this company was recommended to us. We will book our puppy on the intermediate class later on. We recently got a dog over here in Portugal and a good friend recommended us to Louise and her business to try and ease some of the anxieties our dog has since moving to his new home. She was excellent. Professional, knowledgeable, polite and easy to talk to. We talked via zoom and our dog, Stryder was very interested in what she had to say, as were we! She made us feel at ease throughout the hour session and left us feeling very positive about the steps needed to ease our dogs anxiety. It was very useful to have screen share available so we could see products and videos on the information that she gave.
