J.I can't recommend Dan enough, in lessons he was always very knowledgeable, helpful and calm - which I really appreciated as a nervous driver. I found the process of learning to drive very challenging in terms of stress, but Dan really helped me build my confidence and made the lessons really productive and enjoyable. Keeping a record of progress and lesson achievements/goals was also extremely helpful. Thanks for everything, Dan!

I wouldn’t of done it without dan, he made me confident again after having a bad experience with a previous instructor. He made each lesson relaxed. I couldn’t recommend Dan enough, his calming and professional attitude towards everything was 10/10, never was i made to feel stressed, nervous or anxious, when dealing with some road situations i was made to feel very comfortable when things perhaps didn’t go so smoothly. His determination and “drive” to get the best out of his students really shines through, and that’s why i honestly couldn’t have picked a better instructor to learn with it was a pleasure to be one of his students and i have nothing that i can fault him on, massive levels of respect towards Murphys Driving Tuition :)

Dan’s teaching methods are so effective and helped me understand things so much easier, he also goes above and beyond with providing tools such as an app to help you keep track of your progress and upcoming lessons. I was a very nervous, unconfident driver but with Dan’s help, I passed first time! 5 stars!

Not only is he extremely patient and a fantastic teacher, he is also personable with a great sense of humour, making lessons enjoyable and informative. Working in Christchurch but living in Poole, I was worried about finding an instructor who would be able to meet me from both locations, but Dan was always so flexible around my day-to-day life. Dan turned me from a nervous driver to someone who confidently passed their test first time - something I never thought I would do! He was able to calmly tutor me to pass my test with only 2 minors in the end, which weren't at all any detriment to his teaching skill. He's also got a great sense of humour to make you feel relaxed, plus he got me to not hate roundabouts anymore! I highly recommend him.

I had never had lessons before starting with him (at a ripe age of 28) and did not give a second thought about going elsewhere if ever there was a date in which he was booked up - In fact, Dan always did his best to fit me in around my work and family life. His criticism always had a positive spin, he always made me feel calmer in moments when I got flustered. I like the way Dan paces his lessons and the way he asks open questions throughout the lessons, preparing me for the big day.
I could say more but I mainly want to convey how well he set me up for my driving exam, giving me as much valuable information as possible and reminding me of the things I, as an individual, need to be mindful of. Consequentially, I passed first time!
